I think that was normal because btc have also pumped last year as well as other cryptos. A bear market cant be called as a negative side of the coin but a negative side means if the coin has some issues or disadvantages over the other cryptos. It did made me a good amount of profit as well, I bought a good chunk of it for under $2 at some point, staked it, made a good return, and sold nearly half of all I owned just to get some other coins and spread my portfolio to a more diversified version.

Most of the coins that I bought with my Cake profits didn't provided the same level of profit at all, and it was a sad situation. In the end, Cake gets 100% trust from me and I will not leave it aside. It doesn't need to be 20 bucks neither for the same profit, how? You could buy it at current price, it could reach to 10 bucks in a year, and you could profit, there are even systems where you lock it for long term and profit so much more. So, if the price reaches to even 5-6 dollars levels, or max 8 dollars, there will be people who make so much money if they are holding it until it reaches there.

I think that was normal because btc have also pumped last year as well as other cryptos. A bear market cant be called as a negative side of the coin but a negative side means if the coin has some issues or disadvantages over the other cryptos. That is what you should aim at, the 5-10 year period. If a project could be something great in the next 5-10 year then why not invest into it right now? Mew is the reason why you lost your cakes. You should blame mew, not the dex or their staking feature. The best thing you can do is to move on to another more secure decentralized wallet. We have trustwallet and metamask. These two are also the most popular wallets right now. Mew seems a bit old so it's normal to expect some issues with them.

I also use mew and up until now my coins are still complete. Maybe you have done something which makes you lose your coin? But I find mew to be hassle.
