So the mempool is up to 125+ blocks pending BUT fees are still sane

Was going to open a lightning channel and took a look at the mempool to see what fees looked like.

IIRC the last time we were 100+ blocks out you needed close to 100 sat/vB to get into the next block, now 20 sat/vB will do it.
People finally figured out that you don't have to put in insane fees to move coins or is it just that nobody is in a rush?

Found it interesting, what do others think?
