Clickbait news articles exist since the early years of both the internet and mass media. Fake news existed even before the internet and the mass media. There's no reason to get angry at some clickbait fake news. You just have to do the research and try to find some reliable news sources. Expecting Youtube/social media influencers to be honest and reliable is the same as expecting a hooker to love you forever, for who you are. Are you desperate to find bullish news about Bitcoin?Don't worry,OP.They will come after a few months. I've never even heard anything about this Elwood Technolgies crypto trading platform. They probably aren't a significant player on the crypto market.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

You can't seriously tell me this is your first time?
I was on Twitter, Telegram, even Discord and Slack, then crypto came and ruined all of it around 2016 onwards.
I deleted all that crap, cause of all the spam. Yes I liked crypto but the spam and scams came to me everywhere, and Twitter I guess saw all my forum talk and internet searches and suggested me 99% shitcoin spam.
This was me without following shitcoin groups. Did you expect different things joining/following influencers?

Why? The news is legit as it was posted on as press release distributed on different finance-related big websites. It is also clearly stated in the news headline that such person invest in a crypto trading platform. JUST IN: Goldman Sachs and Barclays have invested in Bitcoin and crypto trading platform Elwood Technologies.
Blame the telegram channel you're subscribe to not the news coz the news doesn't related to bitcoin investment as quoted.

That's the point, he is blaming the channel and not the news website. However, clickbait stuff do happen in news websites as well, some places are taking it a bit more seriously nowadays and taking it to a level where it's no longer clickbaity and write good articles, and places like the New York times or so have always been very good, those places have stuff written there like some super academic professor has been writing there for many years, because every journalist uses that type of language. Still, most of the online world is still using it to get clicks, so even though the news itself is true this time around, the logic stands for general purposes.

If they are giving BS notification to their followers then you should stop following them because this won't be the last time you will be seeing a notification like this. I don't know if the current doing their research properly or they just make a different headlines so that it would look like clickbaity to their followers/viewers.
This is just pure BS imo if that's how they were going to tell to their viewers since it seems like they don't know what is real money and for entertainment content only. They should know the difference between that two.

Unfortunately this is how influencers and media has been promoting their hidden objective, that is to earn money no matter what can be the consequences and what it may end up?
Of course! It's very dangerous that they can manipulate the opinion of their audience. Maybe it could be some kind of liability for fake news?

This has been happening for quite some time already.
Clickbaits, influencers spreading fake news, influencers spreading information just to advertise the projects they are holding etc. There are many Youtube channels are doing that and that is also why I'm not watching these stupid videos because they are just doing it for the sake of money and they don't care if something wrong happens. At the same time, I'm also not reading articles online especially from Cointelegraph.

That's why I'm not into the cover page of the story anymore before reading the actual stories because titles are lies and most of the time clickbaits and misleading. But what can we do? this is how they do their work they've just put every lies they know to feed up the people unfortunately influencers are like them and though bitcoins have nothing to do with this kind of people, it affected its credibility due to the fact that others don't really know whos the person behind these lies regarding bitcoins and they also concluded that whatever things that involve bitcoins, it's the same as what the news is.

Yeah, a good headline always sell the story, most of these news outlets always does this, make the headlines so attractive and irresistible to ignore and when you are able to look more in-dept you will find the truth. Whether influencers or news outlets are all in for the money, so they will try as much as possible to create an attractive headlines and those who only base their judgement on headlines only will buy the lies. Despite knowing most crypto YouTube influencers are promoting most projects for the money only, many people still believe in them and base their crypto investment on them.

I am aware of the system of other media influencers getting paid when they spread news about the crypto market. It can be said that those who have experience in the news will always have censorship with the information they see, but on the contrary, this news directly affects the new entrants, making them mistaken because it is the information they see and the mistakes followed by mistakes that lead them to greater loss of personal finances. Indeed, warning newcomers is also slowly ineffective for me because of my suspicion to the contrary, and they think that the warning people are trying to hinder their chances. Indeed, for those who are stubborn, it is not necessary to explain to them to better understand. Let future mistakes teach them.

I hardly click through those links being shared on telegram channels. Instead, it's better to search directly from Google. Then check the news on top cryptocurrency blogs or sites. Clicking random links these days can be risky as Cuber attack is on the rise. Influencers are the easiest tool used by cyber criminals to lure in their victims. Stay careful

To be honest, it was about the crypto platform, right? Not directly to Bitcoin. So I don't completely understand why you are frustrated with it. To have your peace of mind, maybe, don't follow that TG channel anymore, and you wouldn't be pissed off with his hidden objective or something. I wouldn't want that to continue as well, that additional info that has nothing to do with anything.
I do hope everyone thinks like you. That you research before believing anything else. It's important to have facts instead of fake news in my country; that's the medium now, lol.

Yeah, such influencers simply love clickbait titles and other cheap tricks to attract attention. They are not interested in the truth, they just want to make money out of everyone's ignorance, but anyone who read the full story can see right through the BS.
That is just sad. By using this tactic, they simply spread the false ideas and information that can lead people to make the wrong decisions. That is not only irresponsible, but it is downright harmful, especially for kids and others who might follow these actors.
Like we already know, what do they care? they don't care whether people lose money or not they just want to put out that title that will attract people to click and most people also don't care to read the proper story to get the info but just react to the Headline. Like you said it is sad but investors will have to learn to verify the information before investing or reacting to investment.

I got this notification from a telegram channel which I follow. It is a telegram channel of a Youtube influencer who talks about cryptocurrency in his regional language. When I checked the notification from that channel it stated JUST IN: Goldman Sachs and Barclays have invested in Bitcoin and crypto trading platform Elwood Technologies.
I was curious to know that Barclays had invested in Bitcoin! Did a simple search and found the accurate story. If your read the complete article you will know that this investment has nothing to do with Bitcoin. Unfortunately this is how influencers and media has been promoting their hidden objective, that is to earn money no matter what can be the consequences and what it may end up? This is why you need to do a search before believing anything promoted. And you did the right thing. You got some news (info) and decided to look into it further to determine what's going on. I don't blame the influencers, they are misguided half brains that shoot lasers from their eyes, it's a vicious circle. How you approached it is the way any new adopter should, but they usually don't. And then we get hearsay half true info that completely muddies out the really important conversations.

This is not new, much less an isolated case. This is rampant in Telegram, Youtube, etc. This is a thing not just among crypto influencers but also among so many cryptocurrency-focused news channels and online magazines. How many times have we been actually misled by news article writers and publications because of exaggerated, blown out of proportion, or even outright fake news on Bitcoin and crypto? Have many times have we read excerpts from popular personalities that are used out of context just so that they appear to be pro-Bitcoin or crypto supporters?

I think it is pretty clear even from your quote above what they invested on, i guess you are the one reading and perceiving it wrongly, they already indicated investing on a btc trading platform and never said invested in bitcoin so i don't see the confusion here.

This is a common habit for most cryptocurrency influencers, they make sure they spice up their stories very well so that it will bring a lot of viewers which will generate good amount of money for them, those who don't make more research about the information they get fall victim for such untrue stories.
Their are many cryptocurrency influencers on the social media and it seems they are competing between themselves, the only way cryptocurreny influencers think they can make it is to bring up stories with lies that are interesting to be more relevant and get subscribers.
