I don't know how I could apply it in a multiplayer game. If I use the hash of the first player, the other players will have an advantage. And the hash of the last player may not be known until draw time.

Where did you get such an idea? I think you are confusing encryption with hashing. SHA256 is a cryptographic hash function, not an encryption method.

In any case, I think it would be possible to create a demo page in my website. In it, a new player could simulate participating in the lottery, with the amount he wants and with the players already participating. And from there calculate the winning number, the odds of winning and if he had won at that time.

You still don't understand what "provably fair" means and why it matters. In any case, good luck with your project, but I can hardly give it any chance of success.

Last time I checked that's the same stat showing, not really that good if you cannot invite people to play here, I'm not discouraging you but this niche is very small you will have to maximize your marketing, be active here and try to be as transparent as possible, we can count the number of Crypt lottery based site here and they are not really that popular it competitive compare to casinos, but still keep up until you build your community.

I applaud the OP for taking a big initiative but the market is so competitive now, you definitely need to upgrade your site if you want to get more users. Also you have to spend money for its promotion at the same time you will have give more attention about the security reasons.  First time you may not get many users as expected but after a while the number of users will increase a lot.

I just checked players and most of them used Ravencoin, so that means there is no lotto drawing for Bitcoin and other coins, if that is the only way for getting rewards.

Yes, it's not a bad idea but that's just the impression that I've taken after seeing the format and UI design. But that's okay, uniqueness of a website is also catchy to its visitors and I guess if OP notices that there's a need to change, he will change it eventually.

Well, wishing that with its way of marketing and design it can attract more players to it. The number of the cryptocurrencies that they have is also a lot which I think could affect on its attraction to new users on board.

OP did good and he replied already. He can get those suggestions and have it applied on their lotto if it's really fitting and interesting on their end. @Lottocryptos, since there have been so many scam lotteries in the past, I think you should focus on the Provably Fair system in the back end instead of marketing your site. How can we be sure that this lottery site is 100% honest and not running a rigged system? To be honest, I would never participate in any lottery that is not provably fair, especially when the odds of winning are very small.

Indeed it's a lot but I think the fees to extend a domain isn't that much. Many are using ravencoin because it is lighter than in bitcoins and other top coins. You know the fees are cheap, its fast, and most of all the minimum for this coin is much lower so they can start the game immediately and this is a new site so many people are testing it first with smaller amounts but once they gain confidence that is going to be the time that they will use larger coins to be able to win bigger prizes.

Maybe using an escrow is possible to implement here? Since some games can take a long time to start but that escrow must also be trusted and are a member of this forum.

There is no partnership. I've just been using Ravencoin for development, because it's GPU minable, has an active community, and its transaction fees and price are low. Although I have not yet made any announcement in any forum or Discord channel of any cryptocurrency.

When I started developing the website, I looked for a cryptocurrency that was in the Top 100.

What alternatives did I have?
- Bitcoin or Dogecoin require ASICs to mine.
- Ethereum or based on the Ethereum network have high transaction fees (at least until ETH 2.0 arrives).
- Others are not mineable because they are stable coins, staked or game/activity based.

Ravencoin is not bad though, it's only strange to me for that purpose. Still, it might not matter since it is truly among the 100 top coins, number 89 to be precise. Ravencoin being in the top 100 is not the only reason why he added it on his platform. He already stated that it can me mined through GPUs so he get those coins for free and use it to test his website freely without spending any amount from his pocket. I'm also guessing those players that used ravencoins is him and the website has no real players yet.

Based on his previous posts, he is pretty knowledgeable about the website's development and it would be a hassle for him if he should also be the one taking care of the promotion so hiring someone that is expert on that field will definitely help him if he really want to promote his website.

Well, as said by decodx. You should really apply provably fair into it because the majority of the casinos that has been operating and had a thread in here have that feature.

And that's what the gamblers like, to have provably fair in your games. Because it guarantees each gambler or customer that it's being implemented and the casino they're playing at has it.

It's not hard for someone to create a lottery website and show any numbers they want saying they are random.

I have not said that it is impossible, but that in the way that they have indicated to me it is not possible. I can't create the full seed of the random number when starting the lottery because then the number would be predictable.

Perhaps i could create the first part of the seed of the random number when the lottery starts and the other part of the transaction id of the last player, when new players are no longer allowed.

What is your opinion about this solution?
