Hi - I am new in NFTs. But I am a self taught photographer. I have seen on Twitter that may photographers are selling their photos in NFT Community. Can anyone help me how can I do that? Consider me a naive in NFTs and online selling - what would be the first step I will do? Thanking in advance.

A few days ago I was reading an interesting article, I encourage you to read this: https://www.jonnymelon.com/nft-photography-guide/It describes how to go about it, what problems you will encounter, what are the advantages and costs of such a solution. If you have additional questions, you can contact the author of the text. Good luck!

Lol! Head towards opensea platform and list your projects using polygon network for free. Then wait for the first sale to happen. That's pretty much you can do honestly. rest all depends on how the market looks at your photographs.
But what majority of the NFT markers do - they buy their own NFT twice or thrice to show some transactions around their NFT so that it can generate some interest.
All the best for your NFT journey!

I have seen that article as well, and it does contain enormous information about the said topic. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to provide much input about this matter because I am only familiar with NFT but not when it is integrated with online selling and photography. I reckon that OP would be able to get something meaningful through the shared experience of those who have indulge with such.

You can create NFTs for free in the opensea like platforms so just get in there and upload the picture that you want to convert into NFT then yes you're done but finding the buyer is the real task which happens if someone who is famous listed their NFT but when someone who is an unknown person has to wait and wait forever for someone to buy it.

You can sell your photos on OpenSea easily. I think that now there are many tutorials on selling NFT on Youtube and you can learn them easily.

For some reason, NFTs still haven't sat well with me in terms of Investment also considering the few comments I have also read here too but this is not to put your interest down but it is just that unlike cryptocurrencies even if those can be argued about too but I too will hopefully need some rigorous convictions about NFTs investment.

Even in my country there is someone who is successful in NFT just by selling his selfies. If you ask whether a photographer can do business at NFT, of course you can. NFT is not just about art, sometimes memes, even games, and other utilities are also of value to NFT itself. But the NFT market is very random, no one knows if our NFT can be successful here, because even meme-only NFTs can be successful, but some NFTs look better like art and don't buy them much.

I have never heard about selling art online until recently and I was looking for some expert opinions. Thank you for you time and suggestion. Much appreciated!

There are lots of instructions on Youtube on how you can make your pictures NFT just do some search tagged with NFT creation. You need to choose what blockchain you will use in creating an NFT image. Once you have chosen the chain you need to have that chain's token to pay for the transaction in creating NFT.

When you are an artist, you have a good advantage to mint NFTs because since you can draw portraits of human. It's definitely going to be an easy task for photographers. Opensea is a site where NFts are created and also exchange. Opensea is good and reliable for investors who are into NFTs development. Photographers can convert images into NFTs and trust me, it will generate profits for them since they are in possession of lots of images which can be convertable.

The first thing you have to do is mint your photo so that it becomes NFT. for tutorials on how to mint, you can search for it on Google, there are lots of tutorials there. After you request your photo to be NFT, then you can directly register it on various NFT marketplace sites, OpenSea for example.
I'm just saying the basics, FYI, if you're a fairly well-known artist, you'll find it easier to sell your NFT.

I'm also a self taught amateur photographer and never actually thought about such possibility. I've never bothered with NFTs, I've got zero knowledge about them and would actually be interested in trying out my luck with a few decent photos of mine. Certainly, my expectations are quite low, but it's definitely worth a try, I guess.

Yeaa it's going to be possible to mint it as an nft, selling it is another thing though. Choose a platform to sell your NFT first, Opensea would be my recommendation, then identify how to register your NFT to their marketplace. I'd suggest marketing it to famous NFT groups or Photography enthusiasts to actually sell, it'd be rather helpful in letting people know about your photos being an NFT. You can try buying it yourself so as to "increase" demand about it, there isn't any rules for the selling of NFT's anyway.

If I am not mistaken, the NFT minted in the polygon network can be sold only in opensea. Means it's not possible to offer selling it in other NFT marketplaces. It's less fee but limited. But what majority of the NFT markers do - they buy their own NFT twice or thrice to show some transactions around their NFT so that it can generate some interest.
Lol Same method is used to launder dirty money. I suggest him not to create fake trades however instead to promote his NFTs using social media and forums.

Whoa! I didn't know that! That's a good strategy that I never heard. Make it look valuable because someone is buying and selling it back and create your own demand. Slick! It could work. Just to add for OP, you may also want to check the photographs being sold first to have a good idea of how it goes. You may try unique but there must be a more appealing photo and you need to try and look at the market on which are in demand. Good luck.

I doubt it will help you in any way. Nowadays marketplaces are heavily littered with this kind of content, a lot of newbies are trying to tokenize their creativity and put it up for sale, but statistically 85% of such tokens are garbage and nobody needs them. The thing is that NFT has value if it is some recognizable project, but even such tokens have fallen in value lately. You can of course mint NFTs and put them on sale, but in the end you will find that you only spent money and earned nothing. First create a name and reputation for yourself as a photographer, and then try to tokenize your work, not the other way around.

Well this is one marketplace that you can sell your photography: https://opensea.io/Of course, create an account, then you will also need to have an ETH wallet to connect on your account. Or better yet you can go here and read everything: https://support.opensea.io/hc/en-us/articles/360063498313-How-do-I-create-an-NFT-Good luck though, it seems that the whole NFT craze right now is over rated, but who knows maybe someone will be interested on your photos.
