I noticed that bitcoin mining information is rather scattered and not really noob friendly. (well in terms of explaining developments, the companies etc)

I am thinking about building a really comprehensive FAQ. Is any interested?

Edit: Making an FAQ - Under Construction Still.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Very much so. Would also be willing to contribute some content and/or edit to make things friendly for the non technical. It's a line I'm pretty good at straddling.

Great idea, however the main reason this doesn't exist isn't that people haven't tried. The problem is the mining scene changes so dramatically so quickly that everything gets out of date very quickly, and the original authors have long since moved on. The last comprehensive beginner's guide (on this forum, you can find it) discussed cpu and gpu mining at great lengths, both of which are completely irrelevant to current bitcoin mining and end up confusing newcomers since they were reading that and thinking that's what bitcoin mining is.

english is not my native language, so it would be too hard for me, to write it.
You can use google translate if it helps a bit and you can use the links, for your guide.

Feedback anyone?

Haven't had time to read through it all, but so far it's a great beginning. Very clean layout, easy to follow.

And the "tons of text here" placemarkers made me LOL.
