I'm thinking the other way, the fight will not be in slow down phase from the early rounds until the end to settle the score between them without any issues, they should try winning each round as much as possible. There's no need for them to wait on the usual testing skills before releasing their main strategy which is to try to always make a successful blow.

They already met twice, know each capability, know each other, know everything, and many more. Once they stepped onto the ring, they will exchange blows right away and who's the last man standing will be the winner.

If you are referring to what Dmitry Bivol did against Canelo, I believed there are no counter strategies for that as Bivol is just doing the usual offense, which is trying to connect shots successfully while keeping his defense all the time.

Canelo got irritated that he can't land a punch on Bivol even though he is trying his best and that's what he needs to change, being disappointed and frustrated makes him not focus on his match.

That's what Canelo needs to change and not form a strategy.

This is one of the possible things to happen. It could be their approach once the game starts because as you mentioned, they already fought each other more than once and with their previous fights, they surely know now what is the style and strategy of their opponent. They might have practiced and prepared for the counter attacks to score more than the other and to win the rounds and to hopefully, win the match.

But still, we'll never know because they might have changed their fighting style to surprise their opponent. I can say that these both boxers possess good stance and power in fighting so for sure they will give us a thrilling fight. Their bout is about to happen few days from now. Let's wait and see what the result would be. So far, the crowd's favorite is Canelo, but surely the underdog won't let this opportunity to win slip away.

This is a third fight between the two. So you are right. Both of them will be having a fair idea about each others strengths and weaknesses. And the match will go down to the wire. IMO, these are two evenly-matched boxers and in all probability there will not be any clear winner. A KO seems very unlikely and the most possible outcome is UD. I won't be surprised if we get SD as well.

It is very clear to me. Golovkin was robbed of a win, not once but twice.

Of course, it's the official scorecard that will count in the end, but it doesn't mean that they are 100% correct though. Just like what happen in first fight.

As for a 4th fight, the fans can demand it if we see that they need another fight to settle the score between the two. And definitely, there is a incentive on the table, financial sense for both camp specially their promoters and networks to sit down again and discussed it.

Yes, that will be odd if the fight ended in a draw because there will be no 4th fight in the future, unfortunately. He will be too old for a 4th fight. So GGG will have to give his everything in this fight and don't let the fans hanging before he retires.

On the other hand, Canelo who is still on his prime can go on with his career, fighter between 168-175 lbs. And maybe his limit will be the CW wherein he might fight in a catchweight.

You may have a point on this one mate, if ever GGG wins that would be it, and no more fourth fight just like how Juan Manuel Marquez refuses to accept the offer of the fifth fight no matter how big the money involve as he just wants the legacy as the winner of their last fight but if only it is stipulated in the contract that there will be another fight whoever wins then I think a fourth fight is possible.

@Sithara007, I think there is no way that a 4th fight is going to happen between them. This is going to be the decider. I actually agree with GGG that this is going to be essential for his legacy. And I don't think there is anything going to be planned between them in the next 6 months. I really don't see any fight happening between them in the future anymore. It just does not seem realistic at all. This is going to be the final fight between them. In my personal opinion, it doesn't matter who wins in this one, GGG is going to be the better fighter.

These are the fights that the fans want to watch. It only makes sense if they want to get the most pay-per-view from these fights. But I don't think this fight is going to end as a draw.

Nothing is unfair. Golovkin wanted the trilogy fight in Q1 or Q2 2019. Alvarez delayed it giving the silliest of the excuses. He agreed to this fight after 3.5 years. If he gets beaten, then he can blame himself. GGG is already 40 years old. And he has nothing to lose. Even if he gets defeated, he can claim that he's not in his prime. That is not the case with Canelo. If somehow he gets beaten, then his entire reputation will be tarnished (especially after the refusal to fight in 2019). Canelo needs to be extremely careful. His career is at stake here.

But after he's losing the election to become president and got fired from political parties, he's already consider to comeback on boxing again, he will try to attend an exhibition fight and after that he said he will accept any professional fight [1]. I think he's crazy, he's currently 43 years old lol, if he's suffering an injury, it will not be easy for him due to old ages.

but in boxing not everything is numbers and statistics, it's the real part, real life, and really even though both boxers have failed along their paths, it will be interesting to see this fight.

Possible, but I think when Canelo re-sign with Matchroom and DAZN, he knows that sooner or later this fight is going to happen regardless of the result of of his fight wit Bivol.

But the thing is, when Canelo losses that fight, it add an extra motivation for him to fight GGG because he knows that he can get back in track as the cash cow and p4p #1 with a victory here.

So we will see after this fight if Canelo will extend his contract again with Eddie Hearn and the DAZN.

A wise decision by Canelo, and that really was a blessing for us because we have been anticipating this fight and now it's coming into reality. Well, we all know that although Canelo won in their last fight, it's still not guaranteed that he will win here like what bookies are thinking, I like to believe that bookies are overvaluing Canelo in this fight.

About motivation? I'm pretty sure both fighters are motivated.

Same here, as if Canelo can have these fights if not because of Matchroom and DAZN. It will be wise to re-sign his contract with the same promoter because he will be just fighting B-class fighter if he decides to sign in other promoter. Also, DAZN did well in including GGG in the contract this year because Hearn knows that a trilogy will still be watched largely by people around the world even if GGG is somehow over his prime years already. Well, I hope that this time will be just and fair fight not just like their first two fights where Canelo has the favor.

It is very true, if this representative managed to fight against GGG, I do not see why he should change him, I do not know but I would stay with this one who is looking for high-level fighters and does not go with a type B who what he does is lower his level even more, for this fight for a trilogy is what people are always looking for, the fans are ecstatic about this, and the punters are on edge, this type of fight where without a doubt Canelo has favoritism and GGG is also a well-liked fighter, many will not know what to do, some out of pure heart will go for GGG, but Canelo can also move masses, ethnoces I think all this is fair in equal parts.

Well there is something that we all know here, despite the fact that Canelo lost against Bivol, who is a very relevant boxer today, Canelo wants to get a victory against GGG, many speculate that they want GGG to win, many fans may like GGG, however I think the boxer will have many chances to do his thing, but GGG is a very good boxer and he will not let this happen.

This fight is about to take place as one of the most anticipated by the fans, honestly, it has been asking for a long time and it will finally happen.

I am a follower of these fights and I have looked at the least for videos of both, something that can give me information on each of the boxers, the bets are very divided, without a doubt it is a fight that will be the best of this 2022.

I think this reputation has already been tarnished when he was the favorite against Bivol and then losing, and it should be by a wide margin, but the judges had to score it closer so that it won't look bad at Canelo's record. But we fans knows something is fishing with that kind of close scores and it almost robbed Bivol of winning.

But yeah, if he losses this one, then it might take sometime for Canelo to gain back. And if doesn't want a fourth fight and then goes directly to Bivol and losses again then for sure it will hit his legacy with 3 consecutive lost.

It looks as if the sportsbooks are further adjusting the odds in face of increased bets from Canelo supporters. Else, I don't think that anything on ground has changed during the last 4 weeks. These odds doesn't make any sense. Let's remember that Golovkin win the first fight between the two (according to most neutral scorers), and the second one was too close to call. Given this, I don't think that Golovkin deserves odds of 4.90.

Barring asides those odds, maybe there are fans that are throwing enough money on him, but it was offset because of the huge money that is flowing on Canelo. Maybe whales are betting ML on Canelo with big amounts of money and then GGG fans, just good amount of bets.

And if we look at some of the predictions, they are leaning towards Canelo winning this fight so the odds won't change a bit as we gets closer to the fight night.
