Normal Mode:
It's not even that awfully bad as I thought.
I am already using an alternate theme from the BPIP extension and even custom theme is possible there.
If there's demand for such a theme (and OP likes is), I guess that maybe you should share it.
-snip-
Unfortunately, as my note implies, it's not a theme or a plugin.
I just edited the page's CSS forms through the browser via "inspect", it's gone the moment I refreshed the page.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

In my love for bitcoin while researching, I bumped on this forum, bitcointalk. While still trying to get accustomed to the forum interface, I have an interesting question to ask. Since this forum started at about same time when bitcoin was launched, If the theme colour of bitcoin is Bitcoin Orange,Grey and White, and the name of this forum is Bitcointalk, why is the theme colour of bitcoin (orange) not reflected on the forum's interface? Why is the theme colour of the forum Blue instead of Orange?

Blue is more cooler to read than orange since try to compare the text in color blue and orange for sure you will see huge difference since orange is kinda not good to eyes especially when you are reading and also blue is much cooler which is ideal for forum because from this we can easily read the contents without any graphics or anything disturbance towards the decision we made.

You're free to customise the forum to your liking via custom CSS. I don't use the forum's default UI. I've customised it to be easier on the eyes at night, but also a theme similar to the terminals in the game Fallout. I know that isn't everyone's cup of tea, but definitely makes things more enjoyable.

Even if you aren't overly familiar with programming, learning enough CSS to customise basic things probably wouldn't take long at all. You could use an extension to change the CSS automatically, get a template, and then extract that CSS, and edit it to your content.

Although, for why the forum was designed this way, it's default SMF. theymos hasn't edited the look of the forum. I do believe there used to be an alternative theme with SMF, but was disabled along with the additional statistics.

Because blue is better for reading. This exists beyond SMF; see Tails, Windows 7. This light-dark blue theme rests your eyes. If you don't like it, change it with BPIP.
I have given it a try and seen that blue the blue colour rest the eyes much better than our bitcoin orange colour, which makes reading the small fonts especially on Mobile device much more difficult. Thank you all for your contributions.
