So OP, are you telling us that we should expect some upcoming Ethereum killers that will pop very soon or after the bear market?
You got a point here, for most of the bear markets I experienced, there will be always times that there are some altcoins that are really a gem and cheap during a bear market but once the market starts to recover, they are pumping too much, it's like a gem hunting season if we are in a bear market.

Ethereum is still strong they did not affect the Ethereum so far even if you notice in this current bear market almost every coin you mention lost huge value from its All-Time High but I must say these are high potential projects one can not deny but Ethereum is the king of all Altcoins. Running away only because of bears? Sheese, that's crazy. Only weak individuals will do that but strong and wise people are going to get more motivated during this event. Im not really a fan of eth but saying that some projects are created to kill it seems not good to hear.

Even if some people thinks eth is not a good coin, we should still give honor to it or show some respect at least because if without eth, there will be no such thing as alternative coins, where people have been using the most than bitcoin because alts can do some thing that btc cant do. Solana and avax and algorand, are not new if not mistaken but it's my first time to hear that hedera. we can try investing on this coin and see if it can bring us nice returns by the time the bull comes.

Now is the time to be accumulating L1 blockchains like HBAR, CELO and CNDL. Even with POS, Ethereum will not be able to compete with these newer chains on fees and scalability. Eventually people will abandon Ethereum. L2 blockchains can not compete with scalable L1 chains because they will inevitable have higher fees due to settlement on Ethereum and settlement delays of up to 1 week on withdrawals.

So you're telling people to hang around and take a risk on new projects, it's not always the case, good projects come out even in a bull run, if people want to take a break from Cryptocurrency they have their own reason, they are burned out, some emergency situation or don't have the time because of their work or business.
But even if they are on vacation they are always updated on what's happening around the Crypto world, a Crypto investor will always be a Crypto investor.

Just because bearish market arrived and many pump and dump coins are now called "ETH Killers".

The only thing those coins which promote themselves as “Ethereum Killer” will actually kill is your capital, investing in those coins is for the most part a bad idea, as they are just trying to hype their own coin by using the fame of another project.

And even if by some miracle those coins were any good that does not mean that whatever coin they are actually trying to replace will disappear, after all as long as a project is a good one there is a space for it in this market.

they definitely isn't ethereum killer, these altcoins couldn't even contain the current correction that they have lost major percentage of their value that I doubt they could ever recover back unless bullish is coming.
Ethereum will always be 2nd highest ranked for the simple fact that anyone has deemed ETH as trend setter in terms of smart contract blockchain.

I do agree that BNB has a good potential to be up there, it is a very fluid development project as well. Whenever something gets a bit more famous, they end up putting something in BNB that will cover it, and that is why I believe that it is 100% something that will get a ton of attention. I know that ETH is great, and I believe that ETH will keep on being the second ranked coin and it will get used a ton by the people for sure.

However, just because it is that great, doesn't mean that other ones are bad neither. By this logic, what I mean is, while eth could go from 2 to 4, bnb could go from 1 to 2, still lower in ranking, but at least same levels of increase.

That does not mean, seeing how a coin is decreasing in value and someone's money worth is decreasing can be very depressing. Assuming you bought the ethereum killer altcoin when the price was very high, like Solana at $250 with $2500 and the price now at $45, that means your money worth has reduced to $450, which is $2050 money loss. What still tell us that the bear market will not last than this and that the price of the coins will not sink down further. What I am thinking to be the best approach is to just wait until another massive fall that people will be so affraid to invest, that will be the best time to invest. And we should always know that holding altcoins is like we are gambling but a very significant bear market will trigger bull run.

Yes, you are right. too confident to buy etherum killer coins in large quantities is also very risky. I also still remember last year when nominex first entered the exchange, the price was still $6 and it continued to fall until it was stuck at $1.45

but there is another possibility too, if the market suddenly rises like what happened 3 years ago. I’m sorry but I do not see myself exiting the crypto space for a long time. I can’t see myself going back to my old way of living for years where I was a disappointment to my family. My stable work and side gigs are also from crypto-related companies, projects, etc.

And there’s no such thing as Ethereum killers bro. Solana is unstable they had numerous network outage incidents already. I can say that these are alternatives you’ve mentioned, not “killers”.

If you have been in this space for several years, then you don’t want to leave. Many times I saw ups and downs and lost assets in investments. Achieved certain skills and learned to wait and believe. Bear market is sometimes not so scary as we think, we fear it simply because we don't want to accept it, don't want it to happen. No market goes up without falling and vice versa, bears cannot rule the market forever.  The stronger we fall and then rise again, as long as we persevere and don't give up, there will always be a chance to succeed.

There is one thing that's not adding up to OP point, how will we identify another Solana and Algorand? Isn't this whole thing more like a gambling ground? Even if you are so sure after doing some research there is no guarantee that your desires and aims will come to past, which comes down to investing only what you can afford to lose, I think this is the best strategy after DYOR.
