They are still in existence and new ones continue to spawn because most are pure pump & dump scams. The creators of them pre-mine gazillions of the crap coins, wait for them to gain some traction in the markets and then the creators dump their piles of shit into the exchanges to cash out and also kill the market. Then they just rinse & repeat with another 'brilliant' idea for another Piece Of Shit coin.
