I guess this partnership with football legend chrstiano ronaldo was held in order reviving the NFT trend, after all it has died down, and I could guess that maybe binance has made fortune out of NFTs considering there are so many gaming NFTs that are listed in their exchange.
though it may costs fortune partnering with this football legend I could guess that was just a small fraction of binance money. But i doubt it could somehow revive NFT again.

It was a very good deal for the promotion of nft and web3s. And the best football player in the world is CR7 or goat, but the time in this deal seemed a bit wrong timing to me. Could it have had better effects if it had been done earlier? I think a lot of money was spent on this sponsorship, it seems like they could have made more money with better timing.

Yeah, sport or football, in this case, is very popular around the world. But I also wonder if the move between Binance and Cristiano Ronaldo, a sportsmen has any other means. For example, if Binance decides to be in sport betting, it would instantly pull a lot of gamblers into crypto as well.

A good sign from binance and ronaldo, im sure that when the bullish trend will come very soon and this will be giving a very big impact to the price of NFT. I think the NFT price would be skyrocket since there's a lot Cristiano Ronaldo fans out there, however it's just a hype and then it's will become worthless.

These are seasonal, because ICO came and it profited certain group of people and later it vanished. Same as that several forms of development/market making took place. Right now it is NFT, the hype profited a good number of users. Now people are aware and the real-time value addition to NFT isn't that good in the market. Some NFTs were created without any purpose. Binance once again trying to give the hype and make a big market with the partnership. Honestly until now I don't see any good future for NFT's projects.  Maybe what CR7 has been doing in collaboration with Binance can be a good first step and I hope that this can be a form of cooperation for the application of NFT's technology in several lines in the future.

What about some of the nft play to earn games? And there's also gambling sites that are lately supporting nft's. Some of them are very promising that they seem to have a brighter future than the rest. I suggest try to take time and look for them instead only of judging based on what others are saying.

Popular personalities like ronaldo is a good help to spread the awareness not only in the nft scene but also in the overall crypto since nft's are still a part of it and it uses some of its technologies although I don't consider this as first or like you said as a first step since there's also famous celebs before and as well as big companies that have joined nft.
