Trading is riskier, there are a lot of traders, especially newbie traders that just want to trade and make profit, but in the process of trading to make profit, they lost some of their asset, and if they trade more, they lose more.

Bitcoin is on bear but when the bull come, hodlers will start smiling. If you are a trader, it comes with its own challenge of liquidation, fluctuation etc.

Holding and keep buying is perfect in this kind of market condition since the current price is at the support level which means there is a high chance to reverse the trend and earn more if you accumulate and sell later. If you understand the trend well you can go ahead to trade them else just simply hodl. The market is very tricky at this point that if you must hodl then it has to be on a long term goal. SOL, Near, Link and BTC ofcourse. These are my favourite 4, top coins with minimal risk and all 4 of them in completely different sectors which means if one project gets failed it is not at all correlated with other one's success. These sort of combinations are generally the best. And Sol and near are obviously going to be best blockhains in coming future with ChainLink too being one of the important asset of the crypto community as well. I think you can change BNB with something else as BNBs growth I feel won't be that exponential in coming future.

This isn't an easy question because it also depends on your skills and knowledge before I answer this question.
If you're good in technical skills in trading, you're in but if you don't just go for investing.  The higher risk means the higher potential of gaining profit and that's trading and if you want to play safely in the market investing is suitable for you.

If you've already these coins that you've mentioned above, just hold because it might you're right, a bull market will come and it seems there's a sign.

You are the ones who would able to find out because no one knows on how you do trade or on how well you do really able to make yourself sustainable its neither you would be profitable or not.

Therefore, you do make out some trades and if you do see that you are able to accumulate little by little or simply having that consistency then its up to you if you do continue or not.
It would really be no sense if you do make out some trading but you arent that effective.

Instead on accumulating more, you might even losing and it would be more sensible that you would really rather make yourself been holding than on actively trading.

Well I hold all of them tho  , if you're confused to choose between holding or trading the first thing you should know is the risk between them. With trading you can't always in profit but when it comes to holding for the long term with at least 2 cryptos above for example you hold BNB and BTC you can get the highest chance to profit in the future rather than doing trading.

If you want to increase your capital it's better to look for some job out there and spend a little bit % from your income to buy this dip.

I would strongly advise against engaging in trading if you have no prior experience. I mean, it goes without saying that you are too stupid to engage in dealing with people who are smarter and more resourceful than you. However, if you do, why not?

After all, if you can't profit from both sides of the market, you can't call yourself a trader.

that's your choice, i know quite well that somebody have to hold coin that is of potential not cryptocurrency that have no firm and courage in cryptosphere, when holding a potential coins during the bearish time is like investors who planned and strategies for the feature of cryptocurrency tomorrow. What i do encourage especially new investors is to coin they will accumulate and hold for long term. While some of the investors feel excess lost after bearish market is the kind of currency they invested during long term.

You can track UCT on CMC to know how it is mainwhile the price is very low now compare to when high so I think holding those currency will give a very good increase in time coming.

Trading if you want to risk more to earn more (and if you know more about trading itself). It's the riskier option, but also the option that could get you the greatest amount of profit in a short amount of time. Hodling on the other hand is more for people who don't really know much about trading or don't have the time to min manage their trades. It takes time, yes, but if you chose an asset that performs well over time, then profit should be pretty easy to come. It also reduces the stress and other mental/emotional stuff you get when trading so it's like a burden off your shoulders.

In early months, you will succeed to increase total coins but because you don't know when the bear market ends; don't know when a specific coin will has 50%, 100% rise you will halve your total coin some day. In the end, your effort will be nothing.

The best practice, in case you do really love a specific coin, after you manage to double amount of coin you have, it's time to hold it tightly, very tightly. My advice is when you don't have plan to sell that coin and are a really long term holder.

Hodling is not actually good, especially with altcoins in bear market.

I have those three cryptocurrency which is BTC,ETH and BNB in my portfolio right now. The one I am planning to hold is BTC and ETH, I don't plan on holding much on BNB that's why I consider it as a coin that I can use for trading. I don't mind BTC and ETH losing it's value now because of the market cycle but on the other coins I have, I'm monitoring them. If you plan to hold and trade, I advise you to make a separate wallet for both activities so that you will have less temptation to trade what you are holding.

A little laugh with a lot of ads showing that trading is very easy to profit. Even the demo trading used is the type of Binary Option trading which of course we know the risk will be very large and is the same as gambling, only guessing Up or Down. rect is bound to happen with this type of trade.

But in crypto there are 2 types of trading such as Futures and Spot, and of course Spot is a safer type of trading that can be used to hold several trusted coins. Hold your BTC then exchange altcoins to increase your number of sats. If I were you, it's a bear market dive trading method when you take advantage of the Bitcoin price. Use altcoins as a bridge to build a portfolio in Bitcoin and don't sell Bitcoin in the current range, hold on to it until the price reaches highs again.

I would suggest you to just hold all those coins you have at present instead of trading. At any moment the market may turn opposite and start growing up. What if you happened to sell for a minimum profit when if the market booms up and get you a high profit. As market is volatile, no one's advice would be right. What you just said will not gonna happen to other coins because we all know that Terra Luna was pumping because of the hype and nothing else yet lots of these newbies I guess fall asleep for it. Each has its own pros and cons.  Trading if you won't exit can multiply your holding if you made the right trading calls.  While holding can guarantee you a lesser risk.  If ever there is a devaluation only paper value is affected unless you sell at a loss.  Trading requires a huge amount of time while holding simply needs regular updates just to know what is happening in a fundamental sense.  I think it is up to you depending on your skill and level of knowledge in trading.

In a bear market situation I highly recommend holding rather than trading, especially if you are a newbie, it is very risky if you force a trade.

I would say holding will be more better though it depends on your portfolio or wanting to hold for long term or short term. If long term this could be probably for 3 to 5 years then before you get something pleasant from it. Short term can be for just 6 months to 1 year interval.
About UCT currently i can't tell the future if the team has a good plans for increments or not, though all time was $0.36~ and since then the price has not showed a strong support till date, from their telegram the team actually announced a plan to list in few exchange before the sudden recent Luna market sentiment. Btw you can choose to hold after listing then to see if you could known more further.

You can do trading by means of scalping or you can do staking by means of holding. Among your list, I think scalping is the best way to increase your portfolio since the percentage on staking of those coins arent good enough and required a lot of coins for example eth. Im not sure the 4th coin what it is. But youll thrive considering you are holding top coins.

First three coin was familiar among the traders,but the third one will not the same potential as like that. Obviously the Ethereum will be the option for most of the traders now.After huge struggle the Ethereum was back to 1000$ from 3000$.If I had some dollars,I will buy some Ethereum and hold till the market back to old price which is 3000$.It’s very easy to earn of 2000 dollars by just holding with that of Ethereum.BNB will be my second chance to inverse for the long run profit.

I accumulate some altcoins during the bear market. It's BNB, SFP and besides that holding some stable coin to accumulate more on the dip. I am not wondering to trade this during a bear market. Hold is a step that is taken by everyone, and has considered the higher risk of loss. They will not care how much the price of crypto will drop. Even if the price of crypto is rising, they keep the asset up to the price they want without selling.
Trading is a step that a person takes to add assets with minimal risk of loss. If the price of crypto drops, they will sell it hoping to buy at a lower price.
Holds are often done by investors who have other activities bigger than spending time in crypto. I think, if we don't do other activities, then we are more appropriate to take trading steps, because we can increase the number of assets and minimize losses by continuously controlling market developments.

I personally am in general a notorious holder. Which means i buy a relatively small amount of coins from time to time and then i hold them for at least a year because of the tax regulations in my country but in most cases i hold them even longer. Sadly my portfolio that mainly consists of small cap altcoins is like 95% down at the moment compared to it's ATH back in may of 2021. So here that holding strategy did not pay off.
Active trading can be a way of course to increase the holdings of your coins. I sold the Waves that i had a few weeks ago for around 51 $ per waves and 2 weeks ago or so i took a part of that money to buy Waves back for around 4,45 $ per Waves. If you really engage yourself with trading then you already know how to double your assets in the short term regardless of the higher risk and should continue to do so because, for me, the ability to accumulate is a good skill in crypto trading however, I am much of a long term holder and would hold my crypto assets until I have a good price target to sell or take profits.

Among all 4 coins btc is the one that I hodl the most because I feel more confident with it, obviously because it was the main crypto and it's also the oldest. Yeah, there are many "brand new" projects, but those are basically ones that tried to build something for the last hype and they were too late, now they are publishing something that could have been great a year ago, but not so much now. Trading versus holding obviously benefits the good trader as it will end up accumulating more from its regular gains. The problem is, are you a good trader? I trade for many years already and I felt like I am only good at it during a bullish season, so I now just focused on holding and slowly accumulating. It's stress-free and less hassle while I can do jobs that pay me money which I can use to accumulate bitcoin and some selected altcoins.

Hello I have thought of holding 4 particular currencies which includes BTC, ETH, BNB, UCT. But within me I feels I should trade with them to accumulate more of those currencies maybe before the bear will be finally over I would have ended up having much of them I engaged myself by trading.

I want to know if holding or trading will be more preferred. All suggestions are welcomed.

I believe it is basically about what you can do. Firstly, Hodling does not cost you anything but just to buy and hodl till the price of the particular coin is right to sell and take profit but as far as trading is concerned, you cannot do it unless you actually know how to trade and understands that market instead of someone just telling you, you can accumulate more by trading which is true but you must have the know-how. So if you don't know ho to trade, just buy and hodl.

You can work on it little by little, no need to decide quickly but while practicing and experiencing the market movement.

If you are serious enough to understand how things work within this business, you'll be able to acknowledge
if you are good with trading or you can just continue doing it as investment by buying and waiting for your
assets to pump with the value.

I can't trade too much because I sometimes have to focus more on my work. other than the bitcoins I keep collecting. in altcoins of course the coin that I prefer the most is BNB. and even now BNB has soared. because there is an event going on for BNB holdings on binance. sometimes when I see the price go up, I become tempted to sell. but I should be able to hold it in until the bullrun market really comes. because I believe the price now is a very low price compared to later when the bullrun comes.

When bull season comes, it will pumps the top coins in the market and even altcoins will follow. We just have to be patient and go about our daily day job other than dwelling all our time and energy on the market. Because it's control by the whales which have gigantic quantities of coins, and they also have the power to cause dips in any coin they want.

Great pick as while Bitcoin is moving up BNB is also moving alongside with it, and the good thing here BNB is much
better in terms of percentage of increase.

You are on a profitable side as of this moment and if Bitcoin will continue to move up
and Binance does the same, your chance of getting a decent amount of profits is really high,
it is on your take now if how high you think you will keep your coin and how much profits you are
aiming to earn.

You can make much larger profits in alts but I consider them as much higher risk than bitcoin.

I also think the same as you. i.e. holding altcoins is much more risky. but I still collect some altcoins. and I hold it until later the bullrun market comes. because even though altcoins have a higher risk but when the bullrun comes altcoins can provide higher profits. but I also don't dare to use a lot of money to invest in altcoins.

Decent amount of profits if the altcoin that you choose will pump hard, the amount of investment is far
cheaper compared with bitcoin.

Something that you can also consider when picking your investment,
but for sure most of crypto investors will continue to prioritize bitcoin
as the main asset that they will hold, long-term wise this project can
still breakaway and make a huge pump.

both have different risks. but in my opinion holding altcoins has a greater risk than direct trading because holding can lose the assets we have when the coin price has no value. while traders will see good conditions to be able to make a profit.and till date I still trade and never hold any altcoins in the wallet except BTC and Binance.

Not the biggest fan of DASH any more but can't get myself to sell it. Mostly just like BTC & ETH but I did want a (in my opinion) high value high risk gamble play so got in with LBC.

Though the trading is only short term,

when trading on altcoins to minimize risk, we better analyze the movement of BTC first. that's what i usually do. because altcoins always tend to follow the movement of BTC. buy when red is good. but buying when the bounce is confirmed or there is a price reversal then it's a better entry. and we exit after making a profit. Don't wait for more profit. because sometimes when we wait to get more profits it will only put us at risk and even experience losses. because the real enemy in trading is our own emotions (fear & greed).

Unless you are targeting higher profits, taking things in the long run might bring you that target after buying the dip.

Not an assurance but base from past market movement, the chance is good if you buy during the downfall
then sell if you see the market already recovered and give you the target selling value.

Either you take the day trading or choose to keep your fate with higher target profits, as long as
you take the asset during the dump.

BNB is just a coin of the exchange, and you see how now in this bear market the strong eat each other. Yesterday, binance was stronger than FTX, but "tomorrow" someone can do the same with binance, and therefore I would choose only the most reliable projects for investment, which have the best chance of survival. I'm not saying that this will happen, I'm saying that such a possibility exists.

It just depends on what coins are you choosing. BTC and ETH is really good to hold since they are really promising in long term hold but could work for trading as well for day trader if you have time and effort to actually learn and manage your emotion since the price is pretty fast to check for every second. You could check out BNB as well because the deal with FTX, it could be good or worse for the market.

For me in trading and holding I'll prefer to choose BITCOIN, BNB, and ETHEREUM it because all these hree are the biggest in the crypto world which is trusted enough because when you are doing Trading we all know that It's to risky cause there's a chance that you fail and also in holding but these three coins is for long term investment and Holding. When you are newbie and not know yet how to trade then it's better to hold until the price will go up then sell.

I prefer holding. because maybe the reason is because I still have a work schedule to fulfill. so I don't have time to trade yet. so I prefer to buy by placing entries at predetermined points. and after the entry is fulfilled (successful purchase). then I will just keep it (hold). I'm actually a little bit interested in trading. but I still feel lack of knowledge to plunge into it. and also I have not been able to time it. because I think to do crypto trading we are required to first master technical and fundamental analysis. know each indicator and so on. and I realize I don't understand all that and am still in the learning stage.
