Usability of cryptocurrency in Africa

You are right there. The op needs to be more specific with this but upon my research, I found out that there are 54 countries in africa. That's a lot. Didn't knew Africa is that huge but like the op I also mistaken Africa before as a single country. People on Nigeria is going to have a tough time now that the government in their country are now after cryptos.

There is a post here last time which said that binance is going to have a project in one of the African countries. I forgot if which specific country was that but it's a good news for them. Binance one of the largest crypto exchange also see the interest of those people towards crypto so they are helping them.

At least you know now of Africa not to be a single country but a continent but, its somehow have come under different generalised term to describe a situation that ravages most of the land.

It's been a thing in Africa for most of its government to go after crypto. This is largely due to the fact that, there are a lot of corruption in its ranks and as such, an idea of not being in control and have the citizens be in charge of there affairs is not a very patronised one.

About the news of a programme in Africa by Binance, I think that was with Nigeria. To create a crypto free zone or something of that nature. Although, its hardly an advantage for its citizens. You cant trust them not to have hidden motives.

maybe what we can look at this scenario is the positive side of this move. if we will worry about the negative aspect of it, they won't move forward. so let us be glad about this development. if they won't appreciate this progress and their corrupt politicians will take advantage of this, then, that's on them. they should be grateful that they are being given interest by big crypto companies like binance.

Even before that year, many people knew crypto on the plains of Africa. especially in Nigeria, which is the country with the most crypto holders on the African continent. followed by Central Africa and Kenya. But the fate of crypto users in nigeria is not as lucky as crypto users in Central Africa. because it is true that in dinigeria it seems that the government has begun to impose certain restrictions.
The situation is different in Central Africa. there the government seems to be increasingly supportive of cryptocurrencies.

even recently we can see through the tweet of Binance CEO, CZ meeting with the president of central africa.. In his tweet CZ said

Many innovations have sprung up in Africa. I think the people there are more passionate about the development of cryptocurrencies. even in all its limitations. like an example is from the news I read from the cointelegraph entitled "Bitcoin without internet: SMS service allows sending BTC with a text.
in the news it was stated that a developer from South Africa, named Kgothatso Ngako made an innovation, namely a Bitcoin service using a cellular network (SMS).
I think it's a great innovation. although maybe someone has done it before. but still it's a wonderful thing. the growth of crypto users there is truly extraordinary. here is a screenshot shown by Kgothatso Ngako about sending bitcoin via SMS service.


I believe that the African economy will gradually improve in the next generation.
