Yes you are right that mate and enjoyment is not considered as addiction because when you enjoy then afterward you will stop or let say for the meantime if you bored you need to be enjoy in order to pass boredom unlike addiction we can not  control our selves to gamble and all the time we make a way to gamble. That is an interesting question. I am not sure if I have an answer for you, though, because I haven't done any research on it. From my limited knowledge of organized crime in the US, I know that organized crime families historically have been involved with gambling because gambling, along with prostitution and alcohol, were all forms of vice that provided steady income for organized crime families.

I do not know if the mafia still has a formal relationship with gambling, but today those organized crime families who once relied on vice for income have since diversified. For organized crime today, illegal gambling is not as profitable as it once was. However, organized crime is still responsible for illegal activities like drug smuggling and money laundering which are every bit as profitable as gambling used to be.

It is possible that gambling was used when taxation is implemented.  As we can see taxation was implemented even in ancient times but it was in the later middle ages when crude income taxes for rich were implemented in Germany[1].  Since this is self-assessment it is possible that gambling is used to hide the actual income of a person.

There is no exact date or history that tells when was gambling used but since money laundering was done dated back from as early as 2000 BCE[2], It is possible that gambling is used to launder money somewhere along that time frame.

That history told that money laundering has a longer history.

It was not even invented until around 900 BC, when it started being used in China. I think they meant to say that money laundering has existed for 2000 years, not that it existed in 2000 BC.

If they can do what they want then that is not a slavery but you are only a slave if you are being dictated by someone else (it can be another person or your own self/habit). Maybe some addicted people are now regretting and wanted to get out of their situation but they think it's hard and almost impossible because they are being dictated by their negative habits.

Habits can be incredibly helpful but they can be very damaging as well, and the reason for that is that once something becomes a habit you do it without even thinking about it, it is because of this that you hear that it is often said that you need to develop good habits as eventually those will help you in the long run, an example of this is exercise, we know that exercising every single day when you have not ever done so is very difficult, but if you are able to overcome those feelings and you can exercise for a few months eventually this is going to become a habit, a habit which can be very good for your health, however the opposite can be true too and if you develop bad habits they can be incredibly harmful for your health.
