I've used Ventoy
I think that Ventoy is much better alternative for this purpose and I think that Ventoy is open source.
Used it several times so far and it worked perfectly for both Linux and wiNd0ws operating system, much better than creating new usb drives with OS each time.
I can't find any license for Easy2Boot, except that it's a freeware and probably closed source software.

Wow, just wow! I forgot how amazingly shitty anything Windows related is. First thing I do: close popup. That opens a new tab. Next click: Download. That opens a gaming portal and another tab again. Now I get Youtube videos, but still no download link. It turns out I need to donate $20 through Paypal to get a download link. Never mind.
wiNd0ws is crap, but you can find websites like this with popups related with anything, like movies, software, games, p0rn, etc.
I think they live and survive for advertisement popups, and most people don't even use any Ad blockers, believe it or not  Cheesy
btw good open source tool for blocking all ads on smartphones is called Blokada5.

Indeed, the problem is more related to the fact it's a software that's not supposed to be redistributed (I think that Windows license doesn't allow that), not directly related to the fact it's windows itself.
But I agree, it's not straightforward to get it (hence my "if you need help, ask" in that post). I did, though (I've also checked the link at the time of posting it).

However, LoyceV, I'll message you with another (temporary) links.

I've used Ventoy (https://github.com/ventoy/Ventoy) in the past
I'll try this next.
Update: That was much, much easier Smiley It's copying ISOs now.

Did you get any easy-to-get WindowsPE iso too?

Till now I have always used Rufus to create bootable USBs, but it only works on Windows and there is no Linux version (there is a severe issue when running with WINE where the USBs cannot be detected and thus makes the tool useless).

And UNetBootin sometimes fails to make a USB that can actually boot an iso.

Yes, this has ended my frustrations with Rufus, Unetbootin, Etcher or Universal USB installer. Depending on what I wanted to write, I had to use different tool, and even the recommended tool had plenty of times it didn't work as expected.

I didn't see any Windows license, so as a downloading user I can't know that (apt-get is so much easier).

It's on my stick already, thanks!

Did you get any easy-to-get WindowsPE iso too?
Nope. But my stick is full, I had to wipe Ubuntu already. It's only 32 GB and quite slow, but this is what I had laying around. I don't expect to use it a lot, but when I need something, it'll be much faster than first downloading and burning a DVD.

If one reads your posts, he can understand hat E2B is more difficult to get/install than Ventoy, while (only?) that windows iso (3rd party payload) is problematic...
My conclusion is that E2B is more for windows users and Ventoy for Linux people. And it's OK. The more the merrier.

I'm glad that you managed to finally get the ISO. And yes, this is the point of the setup: easily add iso, and also pretty much benefit of the security of live OS setups (if you take some precautions, obviously).
About the USB stick slowness, in most cases they're slow on writing, but okay at reading, I hope that's the case for yours too.

I'm talking about Easy2Boot (E2B). This is a software that can turn easily an USB stick into a bootable "swiss knife".
Interesting.

It's not surprising since their FAQ mention Rufus rely on Windows API[1] which might not exist when you use WINE.

Yes, this has ended my frustrations with Rufus, Unetbootin, Etcher or Universal USB installer. Depending on what I wanted to write, I had to use different tool, and even the recommended tool had plenty of times it didn't work as expected.

At least for Etcher, it might be because it require the ISO file already configured to be bootable[2]. I only use Etcher when official guide for certain OS said so.

[2] https://www.balena.io/etcher/

I once attempted to use an Etcher AppImage to make a bootable USB, and lo - it wouldn't even detect any USB flash drives connected to the computer.

Easy2Boot is open-source, right? If not, somebody's gotta create an identical open version of it fast.
