I think it's just that, superstition. As far as I know every casino, online or offline, is tightly regulated, and the software has to pass certain certifications and checks so that they can prove the probabilities to win or lose for the player.

From the experience I have playing continuously it still won't give me any benefits, even though winning is no longer a top priority but when I lose too often then I start to feel tired. Well, that's the thing with gambling, it only takes one big loss for you to basically be financially ruined. If you enjoy it just for fun, it might be better to keep the betting amount low, because that way you can afford more games.
