You may be right OP, at the same time you may be wrong as well. I guess we will get to know if the reasons that most of these present government officials hide behind as their reason for regulating or banning crypto is valid in a couple of years time when they are replaced by people who love crypto. It will be interesting to see if some of this reasons will still hold or a way around it as it should be will be found.

I don't understand the point of this thread. The reasons that you have given why governments are concerned for legalising Cryptocurrencies relate to the problem of national interest only. If their would be increase in criminalization eventually the nation is suffering. Governments are being mean only in one context that they want to keep the control of economy with themselves but that too can be said as a national interest reason being imagining a decentralised economy is still a wild thought and no one actually knows how successful will it be
