Risk is always present especially in this industry. I'd say luck will also be a factor even if there are people who don't believe with its existence. Proof to this, are good projects in the past which were having a good utility and general management, or simply having 'that' potential to be a big one. But there are other projects which looks "less" compared to the big ones, which turned out to be better.

My take on this, is regarding bearish or bullish market seasons which contributes to investors' decision whether to invest or not. Another thing is popularity in any form, necessary for the project.
