Why did you choose to support the sports team you are supporting?

Hello everyone, I recently have started to develop an interest in sports. I saw a few games from the ongoing Euro women cup and liked the feeling of excitement watching the games gave me. I have asked around and I have been informed that a new football season will soon begin plus it is a great time to pick a team to support, so I'm here to ask, what criterias did you consider before choosing to support a team?

It's the players and the coaching stuff, the way they played the last season, the odds given by the community towards that team. I guess what I said would likely be the focal point on what team to support but anyone could disagree and they might have been other idea on how to pick it.

I guess the most exciting sports game is football because football has a large fan base and also several segments and tournaments on various levels, but the highest among them is the championship and premiere leagues and both will soon start and that period is one of the most entertaining periods.

Among the leagues and tournaments, world cup is the number one of them. Do not be surprised that leagues like Copa America and few others can be higher than English Premier League. Although, among the leagues, English Premier League is the highest. But this does not still change what you meant, it has been a long wait for us, the time for the next season for leagues to start is knocking already, this next season would also be fun as usual. My betting activities in sport reduced so much after the season ended like 3 or 4 months ago, but that does not mean I am frequently gambling, just taking one or two or three matches weekly which are always enough for me.

Players are not the only reason that fans support their clubs. Coaches too have attracted alot of fans to their clubs. Like at a time when Josep Guardiola was at Barcelona, it boosted the followership alongside the world class stars there, name them.....

Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsène Wenger, José Mourinho Diego Simeone and more have brought glamour to the teams and attracted fan base too. You may like the person who is in the team like in soccer people support the team just for Ronaldo or Messi and the name varies from games to games and which game is popular in your nation. For me I sm not that much interested in sport betting but for the sport I always like to support the team which represent the nation, or something where I belong to also I am die hard fan of some players characters on and off the ground so I just go with those team.

Because they kept winning a lot But seriously though, I support my current picks on NBA (GSW) and baseball (Red Sox) because of the players that comprise the team and their overall chemistry in the field. Also, it feels like the players currently playing on these teams are bound to get matched together. It's as if you can't picture out some of the players being transferred to another team because of their current chemistry, but that's just me.

for me football is the most spectacular sport. The new season is about to start as well as the football world cup. 
If you want to develop an interest in sports, there is a lot you should know about sports especially in betting. 

at least you have to dig up a lot of information related to the sport you are interested in.
and to be honest I don't have any special criteria in supporting a football team, I really like the beautiful game of football, there are many clubs that have these criteria.

I still remember vividly that I was not just supporting Chelsea at certain point in the past, it was because my brother was supporting Chelsea, I did not know much about Chelsea that time, but just supporting it because my brother supported the club.

Two years ago, my brother and I was able to see again and he told me he is supporting Real Madrid, I was shocked, and I told him he was supporting Chelsea at one point in time. He told me that he was only supporting Chelsea at the time just because of Jose Mourinho which was Chelsea manager at the time.

Although, as I am growing older, before that 2 years, I have become a gambler and I see no reason to support any club, any top Club winning their league and the good ones have been my favorites now. But I noticed I prefer some clubs now even if they are not performing good in a season, this has been because of certain players I like in such clubs. If to be truthful, I no more support one club, but I have more favorite most often per each league unlike before that I was only a Chelsea fan.

I chose my favorite football team in particular because it has a long and storied history and an incredible fan base. I chose a team because the root of the team, the core, is what makes it so strong and it has roots that go deep within the community. I've followed them for decades. I've been following their championship runs and ups and downs all the way back to my childhood. It was my favorite team growing up. It will always be.

Iam a point one Ronaldo fan. So, in accordance with the question Queentoshi asked,'what are the criteria for choosing a sports club to support?' Like I said earlier, Ronaldo is one reason l choose a club. If C Boy is playing a club, I will naturally begin to have interest. And, again, I do have a thing for supper winners. So, one can see why iam both Madrid and Manchester United fan. Man United has Ronaldo and Madrid is the highest winner of the Champions League.

We have almost disame story just that you became neutral along the line maybe because of you started gambling is alright I know to some extent you still love Chelsea smiles.

My Grandfather loved playing golf most of his life. He was a huge golf fan and I remember watching matches on TV with him at his house a lot. We saw a lot of great tournaments together especially in the early 2000s.

Back before the injuries, Tiger Woods was the most dominant player in the world. I’m still a huge fan of golf and Woods today because of my grandfather.
