while I did not expected a win from Sporting, Liverpool is totally unexpected, Napoli is up three goals, and they missed penalty
I am out, so cannot watch the game, what is happening with Liverpool?

I can see that Barca is up, and Brugge is leading against Leverkusen, expected from Brugge to not lose this one, but was not brave enough to go for a win

It is funny because statistically speaking Liverpool has played better and has somewhat been more aggressive in attack at 7-1 with corners.Apparently Napoli is having a clinical precision in their end of the actions and scoring goals different from Liverpool which is not at all clear at what they are trying to do in the attack zone.

I believe the odds will go up in the away games upcoming for Liverpool but keep in mind that when playing at home be prepared for 1.25 odds for Liverpool which clearly will be deceiving.

I didn't watched Liverpool game, so it would be interesting to hear how they managed to lose so big. It could be even worse, but Napoli missed penalty. It seems that Liverpool will have hard time to reach next round.
Not much what to say about Barca game, simply Plzen isn't an opponent. It's fun to see Lewa keep scoring, hattrick tonight, but we will get real test next week against Bayern in Munich.
Atletico at it's finest. They played typical their ugly football and only when Porto got red card, they managed to score on 92th minute.
Very solid performance of Bayern. And Eintracht today didn't looked like team that won Europa league last season.

EDIT A bit too early about Atletico. After VAR review referee gave penalty, Porto scored it, made score 1:1 and it already looked that they burned my bet, but Griezmann managed to respond with a goal on 101th minute.

this is pre-Klopp Liverpool era but with Klopp in charge Salah still in lalaland, Virgil Van Maguire, nonexistent midfield, the only capable forward is Luis Diaz, winning mentality is gone... it's bad, this is really bad.

Not the outcome I was hoping for because the majority of the game let me down in extra time. I picked a score of 4-1 for the Barcelona match, but the last goal from Lewandowski spoiled me, same with ATM game. How did you surpass me, KTChampoin? We both have the same number of points overall because I came in first before you. I've never seen a triple yellow cap in a single round before.

Atletico Madrid 2-1 Porto
Atletico Madrid will win the match, it was a completely unexpected result for me. My prediction for this match was a 1-1 draw. I was very happy when the match was tied at 1-1 after 90 minutes. But Atletico Madrid won as a result of Griezmann's goal in 90+11 minutes. Atletico Madrid is very lucky. Otherwise, they could not have scored full points in this match.
Porto's gameplay was much better than Atletico Madrid's. Atletico Madrid played a defensive strategy in this match. They made several strong attacks in the second half. However, Atletico Madrid's gameplay is still not stable.


Barcelona 5-1 Plzen
I was sure Barcelona would win, but I didn't think they would win by a huge margin of 5-1. Lewandowski scored a hat-trick in his first Champions League match in the Barcelona jersey. Torres and Dembele's performances were also outstanding.
Mbappe and Haaland scored two each, while Lewandowski scored three. Looking forward to seeing who will be the top scorer in the Champions League.

It is the first time I see three persons with yellow cap in a pool with less than 50 participants.Personally I am very happy for the second day of the Champions League as I got 11 points from the games while only 6.5 points in the first night on Tuesday,despite being 21th on the standings I am just 5 points behind the leaders so I am happy and can't wait for the other games which luckily because of the World Cup are just in the next week,so next midweek we will have again Champions League action.

I felt that Napoli would beat us, that's the game where I should have claimed it. I went with Sevilla drawing to City as well, so either one of these picks would have been enough.

I didn't have a good day unfortunately. I predicted a 2-1 Frankfurt win but Sporting simply destroyed them 3-0. Maybe it was related to Sporting's being much more experienced in the Champions League. But we are still talking about the last champion of the Europa League which is Frankfurt so it was surprising. I predicted a 1-1 draw for Club Brugge - Leverkusen. It was really going to happen but Schick's goal was disallowed due to offside and it was 1-0 at the end. Another prediction I failed hard was a 1-1 draw for Napoli - Liverpool.    It was the same for most people of course. I never expected Liverpool to be so weak in defense.

As a result, especially these results caused me to lose many points yesterday. At least the first day was nice for me.

My favorite moment of the evening was that pricless reaction from Trent. He jogs back into defense, plants his feet at the edge of the box and waches how 2 Napoli players make fools of his teammates. His teammates are also casually jogging and looking like they are on the first training after summer holidays.

What is worse, nobody is shouting and demanding higher levels. Something is seriously wrong there, almost like nobody cares that they are getting schooled by Napoli.

To be honest in UCL I only know English teams. I know how they play, have slight idea about their strength. There are few other clubs I am familiar with who are actually big clubs like Barca, PSG, Inter and AC Milan, Real Madrid including a few more but I know them only by name LOL. I am sure most of the EPL guys are not much different than me. So obviously we can not expect them to join in the league.

Not much different from me then, either, but because I support Liverpool, I want to see them do well in this competition, can't really imagine any supporter of the clubs playing there not joining -- then again, even for the ten years or so we weren't playing, I still watched the competition... club football is at its best quality in UCL, entertainment galore.

Anguissa doing Zidane pirouettes 2 times and pulling them all off... that killed me.

@Trofo yeah Fabinho at one point was asking Trent where he was and the guy just shrugged and Fabinho didn't look mad... we need a Hendo in there to knock people's heads around. To be fair to TAA he was spraying in tons of good crosses, Salah and co were just shitty at converting. 33 shots even between both teams. They looked like they were playing in sauna... only Diaz was running his heart out. #23 jersey is always for those hard runners... even Shaqiri heh heh

It was a quite interesting day in the Champions League indeed. Most people were following Napoli - Liverpool and the result was just horrible for Liverpool fans. My pick was 2-2 for the match and I was far away from the final result. Napoli beat them in the past and Liverpool weren't doing good before this match maybe. But I also thought that the Champions League would be different. It looks like I was wrong. They were even worse I mean. Klopp's position in the team can be in danger from now on. I wouldn't be surprised if he experiences the same thing Tuchel did.

The Champions League pool didn't start very well for me. I'm going for some interesting picks sometimes also maybe it is the reason.    But we have a long season ahead. This was a pretty interesting week at the same time as I see three people getting a yellow cap. The competition might go hard for the 1st place.

lol I don't know how that works, and the more I read, the less sense i understand. Congratulations despite the fact that I was just thinking about bullrunbro on the second day. I don't know why, but we got nearly the exact scoreboard, with the exception of, perhaps, 1-2 matches.

Nobody anticipated that Mane's departure would have such a significant impact on the entire team; he was its driving force, and to make matters worse, VDJ has been terrible since he returned from injury last season; as a result, everything in the team is now revolving around Trent, who is the only one pushing attack and also covering VDJ's poor form; whenever he overlaps, the team concedes. In Chelsea, we are dealing with a similar circumstance. James is the only one pressing attack and also tracking back to defense; if the attacks were doing their jobs, these players would be performing their defenses well. If it were Chelsea or Manchester United, the entire media would go crazy, but Klop is losing it, and no one in the English media is talking about it.
