Not really, OP. It just provides more option for merchants to use Paypal especially in their business accounts since Personal type and Business type of account are two separate thing in Paypal.
It won't drive crypto market at all since surely Paypal users would have already bought their coins outside Paypal (too many to mention)

I doubt these sort of announcement will make any difference when you are in a bear market, if you are in the bull market, any sort of news would bring in a huge hype and the market goes up, but not during a bear market as these sort of news go under the radar.

To be frank, do we really care if PayPal adds them, we do not need their service to transact, they need us to be in the business .

For me Paypal and crypto are two different things that don't mix with each other. I adopted crypto because I wasn't confortable with Paypal, consequently the impact of these news for me will be zero.

Paypal is becoming obsolete. They might have just realized it and are acting to revert the situation by adopting a friendly stance towards crypto, although I think it's too late. With P2P transactions wide spreading and so many complete and affordable exchanges where you have access to debit or credit crypto cards without fees for the offered services, there is no reason to continue using Paypal.

Actually, I'm glad Paypal doesn't rule the world of digital finances anymore!

Paypal is still a huge company and if they started to fully adopt cryptocurrency then it can means something big. We should really appreciate this kind of adoption even if we know many are already in cryptocurrency but not all Paypal user are into crypto, and with this maybe many merchants will have now the confidence to accept cryptocurrency and will not be afraid for the regulations anymore. If this can be available in all countries where Paypal is available, then it will be a big impact in cryptomarket not sure though on how they can accept crypto without paying any huge fees.

This kind of news seems like what happened in the past when Pay Pal announced about their acceptance of crypto. But in fact, this news cannot bring high impact on the positive market situation. Because moreover right now, the crypto market is still on the bearish season in which the price is highly volatile. Many good news in fact are not able to bring good progress for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to go along. That is why I ma not sure that this will bring enough mpatc to this current market situation.
But, yes, if we see more this kind of news, we are glad ebcause many more merchants accept cryptoand able to use it.

Indeed, as these known platforms like PayPal have certainly had a huge influence on the community, having their support will not just simply creates additional attractions but also people will think that cryptocurrencies are even moving their main course as a currency. I'd see people will become more interested in Bitcoin, as the more they will see it was backed up by known platforms, the more it builds up trust and confidence.

Well, as for this news, it has a very good impact to the market but, AFAIK this support from PayPal doesn't really support crypto deposits and withdrawals and it's like you're just playing numbers and names on their platform.

But with their TOS on that page and under it, it seems that they're already supporting in and out transactions which is totally a good news.

Yea paypal have had Ethereum,BTC, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin since 2020, I suspect Bitcoin Cash is still there since it's a legacy coin they'd already set up.

The only update here is the ability to transfer in and out but I've had some pretty rough experiences with Paypal holding funds for days before conversion. At the time I was just testing with 500 bucks of eth for science and I remember it was a least 3 days before I could liquidate.

Not ideal if the market is moving fast, they are more than happy to put your funds on hold for extended periods while they "investigate".

That's the update that many are waiting for because on their first news about the acceptance of specific cryptos, the top ones. They're only allowing the buy and sell on their own platform but no way of cashing in and out, so it just circulates to their platform.

They really are the typical PayPal if they have holding period since they're known for that. It's only ideal for those users that likes PayPal and has funds there and if they're good with them having holding periods.
