As you can read, your gpu has not enough memory.

RVN dag size is 3,5gb, your gpu has 4gb, but windows will reserve around 700mb +- from this gpu memory = less than 3,5gb free gpu memory.

Let the program run all benchmarks and you will know which algos will suit into your hardware, this is the easiest way to know, and if you likes you can use Nihehash (unless you want to mine some specific coin to hold).

With a flash stick you can mount HiveOS and try to mine, it's easy too.

Once the DAG file is over your GPU memory this issue can't be fixed, find coins that are still under 4 GB DAG like NEOX, this is a mistake you could have avoid if you create topic about trying to buy the card on here before you won't and make the purchase.

3050 RTX is not good for mining coins but it's still a hot came for budget gamers so it will be easier to sell online, there are good options out there that use can use to replace this 3050 for example the RX 6600XT, GTX 1660 Super or 3060 RTX depend on how much you get.

Install Hive OS on a flash drive and mine coins on your laptop. Linux systems for mining take away the very minimum of memory from the video card, so you can still mine coins with a 3.5 GB Dag file for some time.

I was once like you, I have the fear of trying out new things once I found one, the thought of finding something better always disappeared from my mind, I used windows OS to mine for good two years and finally when I was ready I tried out HiveOS for the first time ever and mate, mining experience changed for me

When it comes to flashing BIOS it's 100% easier on HiveOS
When it comes to Overclocking it's better on HiveOS ( Msi Afterburner in windows sucks).
When it comes to speed HiveOS or let me say generally Linux based OS are better.

You won't know what you are missing if you don't try.

Don't go back to windows7 OS you will be frustrated, download Nicehash on your laptop and run it, wait for the software to download all miners and it will find you the best coin and algorithm that will work best for your laptop GPU.

The last time I used windows 7 was mining with 1070 and 1080 graphics cards. Then there was a problem with a hashrate drop and I used windows 10. But there were other problems with remote control.

Ethereum(ETH) and Conflux(CFX) are not for 4 GB graphics cards.
Ravencoin(RVN) is a hot algorithm even for a regular video card, but it is the most profitable one.
According to my memory, Windows 7 did not take more than 400 MB from the RAM of the video card, but it was a 10x0 series.
In a normal PC, you can use 2 video cards. Install the main video card for example GT710 and Windows will use its resources, your 4 GB on the second video card will be free for mining. But in a laptop, I would use hive os.

In theory you should do it but the system retains a part of the ram memory of the card so you do not reach the 3.5 gb necessary to mine raven so either you change algorithm / coin or change gpu card at least one with 6gb of ram

As you can see from my Linux server machine latest version of Ubuntu just wants 222 MB or something like that thus leaving you 3.7 GB to mine RVN for a couple of months,after that you can mine ETC which has a lower dag size.

Any operating system with a graphical interface takes 100-200 or more megabytes of memory from the video card. Linux Mining systems do not use a graphical interface, so they use a few megabytes from the memory of the video card. Maybe it's better to use Hive OS, Raven OS or others right away?
