I am not an antivirus user but I have heard of Norton and Avast to be good. But do not still rely on antivirus, do not rely on antivirus.
To avoid malware is not that hard. Visiting legit and correct URLs, do not download torrent files, block ads. If your computer is on auto-download, change it to manual. Malware comes from what you are downloading.
Best to protect yourself from malware and you can use ublock origin extension for ads blocking.
I don't use Antivirus, it doesn't really protecr you; if you want to be safe, use an air-gapped computer for your BTC activities.
He wants to use computer with a hardware wallet. Not that he wants airgapped device. If you mean he should use airgapped computer, it is not wrong, but he has a hardware wallet.
There is not guarantee that an antivirus can stop that because on cases like keylogger your connect wallet can be compromised too. So the best thing is to use a Linux OS because most of this malware’s are associated with Windows OS.
Not that Linux is malware proof, but people like it because it is open source.
