The good news is it should be good times ahead from here on out but we'll see! I say the "trough of disillusionment" is here based on two forum posts I came across. Don't mean to open old wounds but just shows you how delirious everyone is! Someone is threatening to meet someone over at his restaurant to say stuff to his face for BTC no less ? To someone quiting the forum because of Mod's and people taking pot-shots at him I think we've hit it officially.... If this isn't the trough of disillusionment then I don't know what is ? do you ?TOPIC DELETED! Meet me down by the restaurant thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=54093.0I'm done with this forum thread:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=52625.0;allEnjoy it! Noun disillusionment (countable and uncountable; plural disillusionments) A feeling of disappointment, akin to depression, arising from the realisation that something is not what it was expected or believed to be, possibly accompanied by philosophical angst from having one's beliefs challenged. [quotations ▼] The act of freeing from an illusion; the state of being freed therefrom. [quotations ▼]

I just want to point that that Leo was not at the 'Uncle Jacks Steakhouse' he claims to own on 9th Ave in Manhattan nor does he even own it. Furthermore, after making a post how his company has "No Complaints" the thread was full of complaints that he chose to ignore. Cheers!

I think the mods should label leo a scammer now, unless he pays Charlie 1k BTC.

Since the linked thread was apparently deleted, I have no idea what you guys are talking about in this thread. just ask bitinstant up top about it ^^ lol Well, Leo from CoinExchanger started a thread claiming to not have received any complaints or problems about his site... Then a bunch of people popped up with links to all of their complaints... Then Leo dismissed them all as trolls... Then there was a little side discussion where Leo challenged Charlie to come visit him at his restaurant for 1000 BTC. I wonder if I could find a cached version of it somewhere...

Why did the mods delete the thread and not even label Leo as a scammer?

The Trough is only noticed in retrospect after something comes out of it. For plenty of hype cycle things, the trough is actually a petering out to obscurity (think beanie babies).
Bitcoin will likely follow this pattern, especially since the price has stabilized at $3 since the bust (ignoring the big trader dump that brought it down to 2.50 for a while).
For its success though, it needs more converts. The problem is that it is a challenge to get bitcoins for new users. Most people don't want to hook up their bank account to some funny sounding website. I never did it myself, as i don't trust the exchanges with my money. Fortunately I knew someone mining bitcoins, and gave him cash for them after the bust.
