Just out of curiosity, if bitcoin is entirely banned in Nigeria then how the radio station allowed you to talk about this?
As RJ you did great job, you took the opportunity given to you for teaching about Bitcoin with the community which is a great contribution.

Well, even with p2p still you're taking the risk of freezing your bank account since bank completely banned the transaction related to cryptocurrencies so they can hold your funds at anytime without prior notice even in the future.

Additionally, it would be wonderful if you could discuss bitcoin in relation to the economic situation of the nation. I say this because I think that people want to be part of things that they can relate to, such as bitcoin in relation to how much money they earn each month, bitcoin in relation to the value of the national currency, bitcoin in relation to the inflation rate in the country, etc.

Wow, what a fantastic idea! As I previously stated, I'll make an effort to come up with something when the topic is discussed again. I must admit that I love this, good one @op, bitcoin, (though it's been several years since it's inception,) is still relatively new to several people out there, many have heard of it, but lack the knowledge and will power to get involved, some lack real information about bitcoin, many others are just afraid of taking a wrong step that might lead to them losing their hard earned money.
This is why any effort (no matter how small) directed towards educating the masses about bitcoin will always be appreciated by the community.

This is fantastic news regarding bitcoin. You used your job influence to spread exciting Bitcoin news. I have to say that you did an amazing job on this. I'm hoping the manager will give you another opportunity to conduct a live session with the people. I'm sure the majority of them will want to inquire further about the difficulties, if any, they have encountered in the process of venturing into bitcoin. Try to educate them more on the volatility of the bitcoin market and the fact that it is not a quick money-making scheme where you can get wealthy over night in your upcoming performance, if at all possible. Before beginning anything, they must carefully understand bitcoin.

Once it was very rare to see news about bitcoin on the television channels. Now we're able to see it often, and there were some programs that give awareness on cryptocurrency usage. In the past if some news is on television, then it'll be about the negative of cryptocurrencies. Now things have changed a lot and this transformation is happening through people like the op.

People see Biitcoin is high risky investment, so many of them due to lack of understanding and orientation,introducing it to a bigginer you need to let them know it bit by bit and help them master how the volatility affect price.
You don't explain bitcoin to people and tells them to go put all their life savings, that's not how adoption works and again, remember this is a live show which you need to apply caution and sense so that I don't end up jeopardizing myself and the people I work with.
Always apply caution to people that are new to bitcoin.

I was about to say: you are most probably going to face a whole bunch of people who are in this area of 'heard about Bitcoin', but also 'dont really know anything about it' and are easily manipulated by media telling them horror stories. Stories about energy consumption, climate impact and also 'extreme volatility'..

This was the discussion topic I drafted, and it was approved by the manager the day before I went live. He's heard of bitcoin, and to persuade him further, I set up a wallet for him just to prove what I'm proposing is real, and I'm glad he accepted. He cautioned me not to delve too deeply into Bitcoin as an alternative form of payment because he does not want our radio station to be shut down by the government or to irritate top officials. However, I did a small amount because the truth about bitcoin needs to be heard.

Bitcoin could be earned when it was still in its early stages but now, you can only earn as a miner, but you can buy a small amount and hold it.

Why small amount? I would prefer to have my money in bitcoin after a significant bear market, the best time to buy bitcoin. Well, I can accept that people should buy small amount, but they should know that bitcoin is a speculative asset and can be a store of value and a hedge against inflation if holding it for a long period of time.

People can speculate, buy bitcoin and still earn more money from it, a way to invest in bitcoin.

You could make it a daily or weekly thing. Devote a period of time in each show/week and talk about a particular Bitcoin-related subject.

ANSWER: Bitcoin was the first coin created, and it has never been hacked in terms of security, it is highly secure.

Well, there was a case in 2010 that became known as the Value Overflow Incident where a hacker (or a group of people) took advantage of a bug in the source code and generated over 180 billion bitcoins for themselves. This was, of course, fixed.

Are you talking about earning from faucets and giveaways? It's hard to find them nowadays that will be worth the effort. Like any other currency, you can work for it and be paid in Bitcoin. No one can ban you from receiving it.

It's easy to manage. The whole point is securing the seed/and or private keys properly. And you do that once. That's not a process that needs repeating if you did it properly. Store the words on paper or metal, and keep them safe. You will only need the words during wallet recoveries. Using a hardware wallet simplifies everything a lot.

OP you have really done well to go on air educating people about bitcoin with the little time you had for your show on radio. I love your motivation as many people will love to embrace this new era but they don't have proper understanding on bitcoin, while some is due to their ignorance to it. If the awareness is everywhere around the people then it will change their mentality and mindset about bitcoin because they will properly know why bitcoin is better than fiat currency and other shit coins. I have always wanted to do this but at each point I would be met with one challenge or the other. I would feel discouraged and just abandon the project. I remember starting a podcast and for almost one month, I had just two listeners my mom and grandma. They did it just to encourage me. I doubt if they understood anything. So I gave up on the project. I started to pursue buying airtime in a radio station just to talk about bitcoin, then radio station closed up as a result of poor management or something like that. It is a good thing you have done. I hope you are consistent because people need to hear about bitcoin often.

This is very good. OP you have done a good job here by taking this bold steps as far by going live in air. Ordinarily, if not that you are a worker there, this shot you took would have cost you a whole lot of funds. You see their is difference in doing something and doing something with passion. Here OP just showed us what it means doing something with passion whereby he won't in air to make a live radio broadcast on bitcoin adoption and promotion.
Like myself, I have been on this for sometime now and it has been yielding positive results so far. The people I have been able to onboard have been thanking me for showing them the road. I just did what I know could be of benefit to them and sincerely speaking, they too have been onboarding their fellows out there and this is how the large scale adoption begins gradually from the bottom to the top. OP, you did very well in this step you took. I believe people that listened to you that day must have gained more knowledge and enlightenment on how bitcoin works.

Yes there's still a risk with the p2p but every Nigerian that'd into crypto understands this and that's why while doing trade on exchange they avoid using any crypto related language while chatting on how to go about the transaction. And with no evidence of crypto words  no bank can freeze your funds in your bank account and that's why almost every Nigerian uses the p2p method cause it safer.

Here where I reside, I have heard such btc related programs on radio few occasions and I usually listen to see what I can benefit from the topic. I think you did a great job doing this, am sure some people have already gain knowledge about btc from your presentation. Kudos.
