Correctly said, older coins are ones you know will not drop so low as yo give you a loss and stagnate there, because the community behind it will buy and raise its prices, additionally there are always whales ready to buy that.

For smaller more recently launched projects pump and dump becomes a big problem for those trying to hold it for the mid-long tern. Of course the second one carries more risk and hence the popular number 100x being given.

Truely, 100x is a pipe-dream and not realized in most cases. Just like the jackpot of a casino, we dont see this happening everyday, so better to keep your expectations low and buy bitcoin.

For now I don't want to rush to take out the old coins that are in my wallet because the old coins I invested in are BTC, ETH and LTC seem very promising in the future will have better value growth, although now the value of my portfolio has decreased slightly due to a bear market but I am not too worried about it and I am still planning to buy it again taking advantage of the ongoing downturn.

It is really a good advice to search for a project that has an emerging technology and trend.  It is quite hard for an established cryptocurrency to make a 100x since it needs a much higher investment to push it to that price.  Besides, most of the whales that take advantage of new projects will surely looking for a greener pasture and cultivate it through hype and pump, and new projects is way much easier to do those things.

The only reason why projects like Cardano and solana won't do 20x again is if they stop building, only projects that turned bad will lose top 20 rank and go extremely below, for example Luna, even after they fix their shit together see what's still happening to the project? That's a good example of what happened to past top ranking projects that losses rank later.

That's true, if a project loses its place in a big deal, then it is quite impossible for it to recover from that and end up working its way to back to top 10. Just realize that things that go down in crypto ranks, will keep being low forever and will never recover.

I believe that the best thing to do would be investing into things that has never shown any trouble before, and that is why I do not invest into things like XRP neither, even though they are still highly ranked, we have seen them have some sort of trouble and that should be good enough reason to not invest into them, that's my personal opinion, I go with things that are always strong and will always be.

Thank you very much I entered Cryptocurrency 2014 and got a good experience working there.Then I started investing roughly. But I profited the most by buying BNB Coins.I came in 2020 and invested in BNB when the price of BNB was $28.I invested $28 and now I am very profitable. ut old coins are not that bad. the problem is that to be able to make more than a hundred times profit usually requires a newly released coin with a strong project path, fundamentals and community support. and when we enter at the beginning we only know whether the coin has the potential or not but there is no definite prediction in the profit we get. buying old coins aims to dare to take decisions to get bigger profits, I think this is suitable for newbie traders.

I would say the right project to invest in always depends on the goals that you want to achieve. While it is probably true that all those big and established projects that are already in the top 10 in terms of total marketcap will probably not do another x100 from here on at least not in the short and midterm future, this does not mean that they are not suitable to invest into and that they can't give you a good profit.
If you are really looking for x100 moonshots then you need to invest into new projects, but of course you also need to be aware that only like 1 out of 100 new projects will do that x100. So the chances of loosing your complete investment are very high here.
Also i do think that projects like Cosmos for example can still do a x100 from now on. Of course not in the next few weeks, but over the next few years.

I would say the right project to invest in always depends on the goals that you want to achieve. Agreed, it might be safer to put money into something that hasn't seen a bull market yet and pumped or has declined 90%+ but has good partnerships and developers are still active. I think both ICP and XRP are safe bets with huge upside.

Not really sure if those coins did truly reach 100x because I think it's too much but for btc maybe it is true because the coin started completely as $0 and its highest was almost $70K. Once a coin have gained a lot it might be true that it can't gain more, this is why investors are now finding their next gem on those newly released coins whose value is still under a dollar.

I don't think the adjustment in coin rankings will occur every 4 years but there is no time that is set about that. The rankings can change anytime depending on the performance of the coins. The only thing that I know that can occur every 4 years is the bitcoin halving event.

Be careful the risk is very high by expecting too high on meme coins, let alone holding Shiba Inu in the long term I don't think we should do that.
Because meme coins have no clear function, so the hype that happened to the meme coins had to be manipulated by the whales. We have to
remember that Dogecoin can pump very high because of the manipulation by Elon Musk, without the help of Elon Musk I doubt Dogecoin can provide
a big profit. Even I'm not sure Elon Musk can get Dogecoin back to ATH price. Likewise, the Shiba Inu will not provide large profits without manipulation.
