Skipping a model because of "demand" is lazy. Maybe the team isn't getting paid enough to feel motivated, mining fees too low or something. Tongue

So you don't care to run the latest cracked windows because the cracker group made it work with your late computer, but complain that linux doesn't work yet with it and call them "lazy". If your logic is so flawless, then go feed the pirates and leave this thread. I told you, this chip (BM1360) will not be supported due to low demand, and YOU are not going change that.

Hi, any knows how to solve this error?

Hashchain refused to start
I/O error (os error 5)

S9j is very old, maybe its hw related, or the nand is already spent, but it should still work from sd. If it was running from sd, replace it. Or try reflashing the nand.

Various things to check/try, in no specific order:

- Cut power to the miner for 20 minutes.
- Make sure the device is connected to ground at all times (case and psu).
- Check all settings are default (Delete any value, then Save & Apply).
- Try reducing power limit. Wait at least 12 hours for Tuner Status to show Stable.
- Check the cables are well connected, try swapping or replacing them, tighten the power rail screws.
- Disable the hashboard in Configuration > Performance > Override Global Hash Chain about 6 hours.
- Try with another power supply unit, problems with the PSU can also manifest as HW errors.
- Clean the device carefully, if you use liquids you should wait a few days to dry fully.

If the problem persists, it probably has a physical issue that needs repair.

I have an S19 90TH with Amlogic board. According to the documentation I cannot run Braiins? Do I need another control  board or would Braiins Toolbox work?

Currently, Amlogic doesn't support it; according to documentation, they only support two control boards: Xilinx/Zynq and Beaglebone.
If you want to use Braiins OS, you can go ahead and replace your control board with the supported one.

Care to point me where you read this? It should work with all 5 control boards. Install method is Braiins Toolbox.

Nvm i see the issue with the academy... just try it. S19 90 is not the same as the original S19, its basically an S19j, so it does NOT require the Zynq due to not using the bm1398, it has the bm1362 which IS compatible with bbb, aml, cv and bcb.

Thank Bitmain for their trash model naming.

I was unaware that Linux coders got paid fees from people using their OS. Tongue Unless you're telling me that no one even gets paid at Braiins for their work. Shocked Well I'm old school, even when I work for free, I take care with my work (aka pride), because I care about it being done right. Something that's massively lacking these days. I swear, every single "Professional" that I've seen these days mucks it up somehow that offends this "Amateur". Roll Eyes I'm accustomed to not changing minds, thanks, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't try. Wink

Hi all, a question.

I have an S17 PRO running off solar 120volt at 600 watt 19Th (2 boards) on BRAIINS+ with NO AUTOTUNING.

Now suddenly it seems to be autotuning for 2 hours while autotuning is still unmarked, temp 65-70C (outside37C).

Why and between what parameters is it supposed to be autotuning (even when unchecked)?
Is there anything I should be looking at?

Thanks in advance.

edited obvious typo.

With Braiins OS you never disable the autotuning, unless you are repairing the hashboards.

And yes, it was normal to take 6~12 hours with those old x17 the first time. Just pick a sane power target, go low for better efficiency.

Do NOT ever use any firmware version beyond 23.01 with x17 miners, 23.01 is the FINAL release for x17.

The autotuning works great, but with change of seasons where I am, it goes into auto tuning for days on end (in springtime it seems the extremes in temp make it autotune more than needed). After the spring season, there is no issue with autotune.

My powertarget is 1Kw Braiins os shows 740 and at wall 599-615. I played around with the settings a bit and I don't think I can get much lower than 29-31 w/TH @21TH .. without autotune. Soon the temp will stabilize and I can set it back to autotune.

A couple of total restarts solved the issue I had.

Thanks for the heads up on the version.

has anyone testet a S19XP+ Hydro?

It is not on the "supported-list".

I have a 293Th running at 299 out of the box
180 chips

How can i test it and make sure to still have a working mashine if it doesn´t work?

Bitcoin Client Software: Bitmain Software
System Hardware Specs: Bitmain Antminer s19
Description of Problem:

Good evening everyone, I'm writing through this forum because I'm having trouble finding my miners to install the firmware on Brains OS. I've contacted support and they seem to be telling me there's a problem with my router blocking signals or something like that.

I have a router with a SIM card and mobile data because there's no wired internet where I live.

I'd like to know if anyone has solved a similar problem or if anyone can help me; it would be a huge help. Th

@Karltron25 TELEGRAM CONTACT ME, PLEASE.

⚠️ ATTENTION FIRMWARE USERS ⚠️

Do NOT update stock firmware to the latest version. Bitmain firmware from March 2024 and on restricts installation of third-party firmwares.

A fix is currently in progress. We appreciate your patience and thank you for using our products. Updates will come as they are available 🤝

Seen in the wild so far: T21, S21, S19k Pro, S21 Hyd.

Shit I just updated my T21 to bitmain's latest firmware FR-1.20(251113-T21). Can I maybe downgrade to an older firmware and then try to move to Braiins?

Looking around I found these two older firmware versions here: https://cdn.miners.tools/?dir=bitmain/sha256/T21/FW. But I don't know how trustworthy that website is. Does anyone know it?
