Why would you even think that web3 is a scam? Were you a victim from before, OP? The people using it scam people, not the technology itself.

Anyway, comparing web3 to a blockchain is weird because it gives somewhat the same things, right? For example, using web3 has something to do with blockchains, and it has the same concept as being a peer-to-peer type because it's still connected to the network of computers in the world.

It's another way to monetize stuff and ensure you will get the real things with all the applications and NFT worldwide. The impact on the other is another story, IMO.

Not at all the Web 3 is the reality and the future generation of the market on internet. Web in a few words is Internet Freedom so you can easily say that 🙂 its not a scam if you want to learn about basica of Web 3.0 and how it is different from other websites then you should visit this topic created by myself atleast you can obtain specific perception and knowledge about 3.0.

Web 3 is not an application is the platform on which the applications for the various blockchains run is true every now and then there may be scam apps but for the most part they are reliable you just need to be a little careful

Web 3 isn't a scam, it is the evolution of the web which we all know is the primary tool used by billions of people to share, read, and write information to interact with other people via the internet.[1]  But sadly web3 has been the place of scammers to do their stuff which often does their stuff in exploiting  Defi, NFT,  and the metaverse.

Is web3 vs Blockchain?

It was stated the difference in this explanation

"Blockchain is a novel system for generating consensus among network participants without a governing authority. Web3, meanwhile, is the decentralized web—where apps, online services, even finance—no longer need a centralized authority."[2]

It was also stated that Blockchain is the backbone of web3 that redefines the data structures in the backend of the Web, now that we live in a connected world[3]

Web 3.0 is of course not a scam. Also, I couldn't find the opportunity to review the website you suggested. I don't want to comment about it.

To briefly explain Web 3.0, the Internet world initially only allowed its users to read. We used to read simple html news sites. Then, we said hello to Web 2.0 with interactive social media sites. I don't need to tell you what we are going through in this world. Web3 is just another version of Web, this is where decentralized transaction really shines since web3 has a function to take advantage of blockchain technology and the decentralization.  I think you should read more about web3 @OP in order to understand more about it.

Web3 is not a scam but for sure many scammer will take advantage of its hype and will create their own Web3 platform simply to do the scamming so you still need to be careful on dealing with this kind of development. Web3 will be the new trend, many projects are looking to expand their technology into Web3 so I see this to hit the mainstream by next year. Invest on good projects, look for the top coins who are already working with Web3 and other top companies, they might be the next gem for you.
