I see all these firmwares available but they all take a portion of hashrate, yes I get it, they need to get paid to operate but if I have less than 10 asics, is it worth paying the 2.8% for these benefits?

I've seen these:
Braiins OS
Pirate OS
Awesome Miner OS
HiveOS
NiceHash OS

Which one is best for ppl like me who have less than 10 asics?
What if I plan on growing to 50 or 100 asics?
What if I plan on adding GPUs?
Should I even bother or just use awesome miner for management?

If you want to overclock/underclock your ASIC machines those firmware will work plus you can have a better feature like autotuning that could improve your miner's hashrate and efficiency.

Only two OS are best and active here on the forum Braiins OS and ASIC.to firmware braiinsOS dev fee is 2.5% asic.to is 2.8% but they both have the same feature(Not all).
If you want lesser dev fees then Braiins OS+ is the best choice and you can also get 0% pool fees if you mine directly to slushpool.

But if you don't want to pay dev fees then stay with stock firmware.

Its 2% for S9, or 0% for the community edition (no autotuning).

Using Braiins OS+ with Slush Pool will make the pool return to you the pool fee which is also 2%.

i recommend hiveon asic firmware which have high efficient and only give 2$ per month which is acceptable if you see the advantages of customization like you can adjust the clocks of asic chips individually and have highest efficiency at this time when the market is struggling .

That's pretty expensive compared to the other OS above. If you earn $38 for an s9 miner with OS like Braiins the 2% is around $0.76 or even other OS mentioned above are not so expensive except Hiveos which is $2 per month.

But according to hiveos if you use HiveOn ASIC firmware than their HiveOS client it's free the $2/month is only for people who don't want to use their OS.

Be aware that every one of those except braiins, and all the others listed in posts above, clearly violate the cgminer license.

Aint it great that the most used piece of software in bitcoin is also the one that almost every firmware provider violates the license of Smiley
