Tables of users with the most merits earned (more than 1500 merits)

In order to have an overview of the level at which each user is, in relation to the number of merits received, I decided to present a table in which users are divided by various levels of merits received.

All users who have earned more than 1500 merits were distributed in 5 divisions: +10000 merits; +5000 merits; +2500 merits; +2000 merits and +1500 merits.

Data collected, based on information provided by LoyceV in Merit data analysis.
The indicated merits have not counted the number of merits received when the merits system was implemented.
I will try to make regular updates.

You don't have to be apologetic for creating a thread. As long as you did your research and no such thread exists AFAYK, then it's all fine.Great work OP. Including a link might have made it easier for users to check out members they are not familiar with, but it would have been a bit more work to include.

Also, I would have expected a constantly decreasing list, from 1,500+ up to 10k+. It's surprising that more members have over 2,500 merits, than those over 2k, but that's likey a result of the gap from 2.5k up to 5k+.

Suggestion
So far only merit received are used, merit airdrops not included. Can you just include people that receive 10000 1000 merits too? It is not easy for people to rank up on this forum like that, but easy for some people.

I would have liked it this way:
100     merits
250     merits
500     merits
1000   merits
2500   merits
5000   merits
10000 merits

But if you decide not to add those lower ranks, you can just start from 1000 merits.

There is a trade-off: it’s true that 1000 Merits are the threshold for the legendary users, so it would make sense to add this details, on the other it means a lot more users to manage, with implications on the time needed to keep those columns updated.

Yes, it will be very big, given that many people have crossed the 1000+ merit level, with maybe a bigger number of them between 1000 and 1500 merits. I'm not a programmer, but I believe there should be a tool that can make the data look presentable and not too bulky to read when it's shown here. Excellent work, OP; I hope to see your name in the next update you publish.

Personally, I don't see any benefit from such statistics, especially if there is a project that most of the users of this forum have heard about, and by clicking on one link you get Most earned merit (after initial merit). That link also lists up to 1000 users, so most of them will be happy to see their name on that list. And best of all, the whole thing is automated.

That was a typo, I am only asking him to include people with 1000 merits too (which were not included) which I asked again in the last sentence on the post, When I first asked, I mistakely wrote 10000, but it was a mistake. People with 10000 merits are included already, I know. I will strike it out now for correction.

There are some "power users" of the forum who are very active, very insightful, and very helpful, all of which tend to result in people getting merit.

Most people who ever get any merit receive very little (the overwhelming majority of "users" never receive any merit). The few that do get merit tend to get a LOT. I can also say from personal experience that right before I reached various milestones, I would get a sudden surge in merit received, and that surge would continue for a while after I reached said milestone. I am not sure if this was because I was motivated by the milestone, or if people wanted to help reach the milestone, and once it was reached, my other posts were noticed.

I have a shared experience, especially before I achieved legendary rank. Merits received would thin out at intervals and spike up when I was approaching a new rank.

I hardly notice any such now, maybe cause I do not pay much attention to merits as I used to.

I've got you covered, here's the raw data that you can use to create the complete table. Every user who has earned over 1000 merit up to 12000 merit more is on the list below. I took it from merit dashboard again. It will be great for your work.

Now I expect to add a few more categories, for example 500+ merit. That must be a pretty good amount too.

indah rezqi, You can also separate it into sections, such as 1001 - 1500, 1501 - 2000, 2001 - 2500, 2501 - 5000, 5001 - 10000, 10001 - 15000. I'm sure people can see it more easily, but that's just a suggestion you might consider. But I hope the data is still incomplete, I have reached 1041 merit, but there are still 1036.

Sometimes statistics can be considered boring as several people can access them in several tools like Merit Dashboard, BPIP, Loyce.club or others ^{[if any].} But that's okay, it's just for something that can make it easier for thousands of other users to know about the data.

Why don't you think the title can still be changed to make all the same ideas in one thread instead of having multiple thread?

Then I can really think you're now wanting to make some silly assumptions about alt possibilities that aren't listed on that list. Having alts is allowed, so what makes you think someone shouldn't suggest ideas for threads to be nearly as perfect as expected?

This is just a thread about merit gain statistics among users, actually I can expect some of the best users with alt to make it on that list. Even if they abuse the forum rules, then it should be a different case.

It's nice to see statistics but merits aren't really 1 I care about. Since I am already Legendary they are of no use to me except bragging rights or helping lower ranks with the smerit I earn. It's a nice topic for those that care about merit though.

I agree with your sentiment. Your post also got me thinking about what statistics I would be interested in seeing. It would be cool to know how much BTC people have transacted, but I imagine that would require a revamp to the feedback system where people link feedbacks to actual transactions to a user’s staked address. Would be cool to see. I can’t imagine too many other statistics that would actually matter.

Well done OP haven't see such table agree with you have seen long list but this is much more readable in a single glance and can see who's at 10k club and who trailing.

Good work and I don't think you will need to update it that frequently I guess once a month would be enough.
