True, during a bear market almost all cryptocurrency suffers a declining market.  It is true that that is not the basis of whether the project is bad or not but we can see that during the bear market, shit projects are being purged.  Those shit projects suffer a devastating market collapse and are unable to recover since the project doesn't have enough capitalization to push through, or are just abandoned by the developer because of incapability to solve the bear market's negative effect on their project.

A bear market is a great time to invest in a project because the price is low, and the opportunity to make a profit is high. And this is because it is easier to buy when prices are low, and the growth potential is higher when the market returns to bullruns.
but doing analysis and research is something every savvy investor should do as many new projects may not necessarily develop when the market recovers, and if the old and top projects are definitely promising because they have previous footprints, why choose new projects which have no previous footprint and although it looks promising. That's not a guarantee to stay involved as most new projects end up unprofitable and even end up being scams.

I agree it is the best time to look for a potential project that will go up in price multiple times after the bear market.  It is also the best time to buy established cryptocurrency since the bear market often has lots of windows where investors can take advantage to get the cryptocurrency at a discounted price.  Besides it is already proven that even the most established cryptocurrency suffers price crashes during bear seasons and recovers when the market transitions to a Bullish trend.

But that's still not enough to say that this is a potential project so we need to observe the project for a while before making a decision. This project also hasn't released the token yet.

if there are a lot of VCs that support it, I think it's good enough to start the project. that means there is a communication effort with other projects to market their new project. this is important I think. but indeed it is not enough for a new project to get investors to run the project.
After all, that preparation is done, it is important to see their market response. is it good to be developed or still small enthusiasts? this will certainly affect their long-term marketing strategy.

Fundamentally Luna was a fairly useful coin. But their fall was unstoppable after their sudden collapse, especially when stable coin UST get down. I think there will always be big risks in crypto but there is no end to the research and analysis. Investors always have to prepare him self for any unexpected thing which are occurring in the crypto market. An investor must do research thoroughly before investing.

This is tough thing to determine. Usually the bear market is a test of the team's ability to cope with stress due to lack of funding, poor market performance and public issues. But it seems that most altcoin projects end up getting bankrupt anyway be it bear or bull, mostly during the bear though. Only the one that turns victorious every time is bitcoin.

Going by that conclusion bitcoin is the only coin that one should invest in.

Point is that most altcoins are like that only, short term gains and long term fails. Hence dont depend on any of those for huge gains, instead bank on bitcoin.

there is no other benefit other than us being early adopters of emerging projects or buying cheaper cryptocurrencies that are still actively developing on their projects to this day, besides that in this bear market we need to do research as well to take the opportunity to buy cheap for example looking for old altcoins that are still active in development and avoid new altcoins because it takes time and process to develop

Those are established and have a good record we may call them established tokens, so it's not a project at all. However, we have to study the history of the token before investing in a bear market. Mind you that you can't see which project will survive and which will go extinct, it is extremely difficult to do that, there are quite a lot of altcoins, many of which are pump and dump coins and scam coins, imo, i take most, if not all altcoins to be short term projects that shouldn't be held for the long term.

Having said that, there have been numerous projects in the past with the so called strong team and developers, but those projects are dead as i write this, if a project has an actual utility, the developers wouldn't have to continually promote it to investors, if the project is good, its community of investors will grow effortlessly, but projects that are hyped to investors can't last for the long term. In a bear market, patience is required, but with the right coin like Bitcoin, and then with a strategy for accumulation you'd have a good porfolio when the bull run comes, coupled with good ROI.
