I don't understand this particular concept of a bitcoin can be able to serve a nuclear weapon or nuclear war my answer to this one dollar question is no because I believe that bitcoin is like money but it's a digital currency won't nobody can see at the torch is only used for threatening buying and selling for interceptions so from my own understanding I thank you because I'm not help for serving a nuclear weapon but he can use it to make a payment of any nuclear weapon that if you like

It is certain that the decentralized nature of Bitcoin would allow to continue to function even in the face of a catastrophic event like a nuclear war. The nodes all around the world with a copy of the blockchain are privately owned, and as long as at least 2 of them do exist, bitcoin will continue to thrive. It should be noted that internet is just the most comfortable interface, but internet isn't necessarily inherent to bitcoin. What truly defines bitcoin is PoW. As long as the incentives continue to exist, the miners will find a way to comunicate with the network in order to be rewarded.

Technically speaking it depends on the surviving amount of people. Nuclear war is something that may destroy all life on earth at a certain level, which means if there are no humans then there is no bitcoin, as well.

However, if there are enough people left, and if all of those people are not cancer ridden (nuclear war distributes radiation, which causes cancer) then one way or another bitcoin could survive as well if we can keep the internet going. Basically it all depends on the amount of people left, and how big is the war. That will decide on everything else and that will make sure that it will go smoothly afterwards, or just good old walking dead style or not.

That's certainly true, mate. Why on Earth people would use Bitcoin during a nuclear crisis? The first thing they will think about is survival. This means food, shelter, water, and clothing will be on top of everything else. As I've said before, Bitcoin will survive but not many people will use it because of the reasons mentioned before. I guess the BTC blockchain will be in a pretty weak state due to a reduced number of nodes and miners on the network.

I'm hoping Elon Musk or someone else launches Bitcoin nodes in space to help make the Blockchain immune from a full-scale nuclear war. These are uncertain times we're living into, so we should expect the unexpected. Just my thoughts Cheesy

From all the things that I have seen from games and movies, I can easily say that first of all I would not survive lol, there are way too many people around where I live, so I would die very quickly because one of them would kill me.

Secondly and more importantly, I am pretty sure that wager could be one of the most important ones, people are not aware how easy we got it, if you do not have the companies that does this properly, then we are going to have no clear water and that would be end of humanity, because that is by far the most basic need and without it we would die. In a world like that, I just thought maybe bitcoin is not even an issue in anyone's mind.

The biggest source of value of Bitcoin is the consensus of Bitcoin market participants, giving BTC its existence value. The higher the consensus, the higher the market value. If the consensus decreases, so does its value. If the consensus dies out, Bitcoin naturally ceases to exist.

the consensus of market participants is an important factor in determining the value of Bitcoin. The value of any currency, including Bitcoin, is ultimately determined by what people are willing to pay for it. If a large number of people agree that Bitcoin has value and are willing to buy and sell it at a certain price, then it will have that value. If the consensus of market participants changes and they no longer believe that Bitcoin has value, then its value will decrease. However, it is important to note that the value of Bitcoin is not solely determined by consensus.
Anyway It is unlikely that Bitcoin, or any other digital currency, would be able to survive a nuclear war. In such an event, most of the infrastructure that supports the digital economy, including the internet and electrical grids, would likely be severely damaged or destroyed. Without these fundamental technologies, it would be nearly impossible for people to access their Bitcoin wallets or transact with the digital currency. Even if some individuals were able to hold on to their Bitcoin, there would likely be no one to buy or sell it with, and it would therefore have no value.

I think nukes are fake - just fear to control the masses. go onto bitchute and listen to some of the points being made.

the world is basically one giant holding company run by a small group of psychopaths & the people are the slaves. it's basically a people farm. the super rich run the largest child sex traffic ring on the planet, everything is basically a distraction for what they're really doing.

even if nukes existed, it would be bad for business to blow up entire countries.

they (WEF & the psychopaths behind it) are spending all this time and effort to build the AI surveillance grid - why would they want to blow it all up?

all roads lead to depopulation & enslavement of the world.

sorry to be dark, but in order to have any argument these days you have to zoom out - agenda 21 & 2030 are very real.

bitcoin fixes wars. bitcoin fixes a corrupt system. most of the problems in the world have been manufactured.

It is difficult to say whether or not Bitcoin would survive a nuclear war. The decentralized and distributed nature of the Bitcoin network, as well as the fact that it operates on the internet, makes it potentially resilient to physical events like a nuclear war. However, there are many factors that could potentially impact the viability of the Bitcoin network in the event of a nuclear war, including the destruction of infrastructure, loss of power and internet connectivity, and the potential loss of large numbers of users and miners.

However, it is also possible that in the aftermath of a nuclear war, the decentralized and borderless nature of Bitcoin could make it a valuable tool for facilitating trade and transactions. In a post-apocalyptic world where traditional financial systems may no longer function, Bitcoin and other digital currencies could potentially provide a means of exchange that is not dependent on centralized institutions.

...
Any type of currency or even Bitcoin will be forgotten for some time before people would start to use it again if we are going to survive the nuclear war if it ever happens in the future (let's hope not).

Since currencies were popular from the earliest times I doubt that idea of money will become unuseful even in case of a global catastrophe. Bitcoin can be too complicated for usage and existing fiat currencies too insignificant but something like money cowry will be used anyway as it is very convenient to have a unified equivalent.
Most likely, bitcoin will not survive a big nuclear war, when humanity will be put on the brink of survival. To survive, people first of all need basic necessities, food, water, weapons. Since the system of functioning of the system of state power will be broken, paper money will be depreciated. Non-cash money, cryptocurrency will also not be in demand, if only because there will be great difficulties with the functioning of the Internet and other equipment. After a global nuclear war, barter is likely to be the most common form of trade, and even gold and jewelry will fade into the background. If the survivors do not have confidence that everything will be restored to the previous level, the cryptocurrency will lose any useful properties.

I agree with what you said but some people appear not to understand the purpose and potentail of Bitcoin which is giving people financial liberation not nuclear war. Besides, anyone that know the consequence of nuclear war to the earth and atmosphere wont ever pray it happen.

That's certainly true, mate. The nuclear threats are just a means to frighten Ukraine and its allies. I don't think Putin will dare to launch nuclear missiles, especially when he knows there are a lot of Ukraine's allies with a powerful nuclear arsenal. I don't think this whole invasion thing was planned by worldwide governments, since this just came out of nowhere. No one expected Putin to cause this disaster, especially when the COVID-19 pandemic took the world by storm.

Now Ukraine and other countries have to face the consequences of a prolonged war, until the dust settles for good. I believe it's going to take quite a long time before everything goes back to normal. At least, Bitcoin won't be going anywhere soon. As long as there are nodes and miners widely distributed around the world, the pioneer cryptocurrency would surely withstand a large scale nuclear attack. Just my thoughts Grin
