I just got the letter from the Mt. Gox Rehabiliation Trustee 10/07/2022.
Has any one received this letter?
I still have $210.43 and 8.10358027 BTC but I only see 0 reward in the letter.

What really grinds my gears about this is that they based the rewards on the *final state of the database* (and even that is an assertion), rather than the moment MTGOX locked withdrawals.

Automated trading algorithms kept executing during the insanity as the price rapidly debased itself and plenty of people were caught out on the fiat side when they arbitrarily shut down rather than have their losses recorded in Bitcoins.

Having $100 instead of 4 Bitcoins in the database: ouch!

Yeah, there was a lot of questionable things that happened at the end. I made the mistake of buying 5 BTC from someone because I had confidence that mtgox wasn’t being run by incompetent idiots. The joke was on me. Not only did I lose the BTC I paid, but they reversed the credit before the final database… So instead of 5 BTC I ended up with nothing. I should have just sold what I had on the exchange as my 15 BTC will probably be closer to 2 BTC when all is said and done with the payouts.

It sucks but nobody is going to get the exact amount of bitcoin that they held on Gox reimbursed. At this stage after 9 years now, I am just glad to be getting something back. I feel for people who stored their entire stash on there. For me personally though, I am just looking forward to getting something back.

For sure before this reimbursement situation where people had already moved on that they coins is totally lost but hope totally shines or glimpse back when they do know that there's a chance that those coins would

be given back.Even though it might be that lesser that they are expecting but at least they do really get something which they arent expecting for it to happen.
