Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-9-7950x

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X hashrate based on RandomX algorithm, Monero cryptocurrency.

4448H/s - 4,0Ghz, 0,9V, 107 - 152W EXPO On
5809H/s - 5,3Ghz, 1,25V, 182 - 316W EXPO Off

Those numbers don't seem right, my i9-9940X 14c/28t @3.5 GHz does 5550 H/s with xmrig.
Other algos using cpuminer-opt https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5226770.msg61074055#msg61074055
are significantly faster on the R9-7950X (clock unknown).

This hashrate numbers was gained for the GhostRider algo, not for RandomX.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Raptoreum, Monero, Veruscoin, Haven, Cortex Mining Hashrate Performance Dominates All World Desktop CPUs
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D the World’s Fastest Gaming CPU is taking on another challenge to prove it’s legacy on dying AM4 platform. Crypto mining hashrate obstacle is only existing anxiety for Ryzen 7 5800X3D with V-Cache technology that gives extra level 3 cache amounting total of 96MB unmatched size. Let’s hop into hashrate numbers produced by hardworking CPU mining enthusiast Son of a Tech (SOAT) via Twitch streaming.

There is an opinion that the hashrate of the 5800X3D processor in 17795 H/s is fake

Yeah but its the fault from ownsnap.com. SOAT made a video for the 5800x3D and the hashrates are not much higher than the normal 5800x
First, many user can´t optimize their cpu´s right for randomX for example (also SOAT) - a normal 5800x can reach with 16 threads running, around 12,5 kh

5800x3D
Verushash: around 22,5 mh
Ghostrider: average 3,38 kh
RandomX (monero): 9600 h
cryptonite heaven: 1230 h
dero: 70 - 80 kh

source:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2HKW3Rw_c4&t=808s

5800x
Verushash: around 20mh
Ghostrider: average 2,8 kh
RandomX: around 9000 h

So not much improvements with the extra cache over the normal 5800x. The current ryzen cpu's have enough cache for mining.

Yeah but its the fault from ownsnap.com.

Also the fault of the one who linked to the fake. Spreaders of fake news are worse that the creators of it.

I wanted to remove the links to the article, but the RandomXmonero hashrate of the article matches nicehash.com. And this service checks the hashrate on its own benchmarks

That's an impossible bullshit number. You can find real numbers for each CPU on xmrig.com/benchmark
5800X3D can do a bit above 10 kh/s, same as the regular 5800X.

Agreed.

It was not my intention to single out one individual but to highlight the issue. Well known users tend to be trusted more implicitly and
malicious actors will try to use them to spread their misinformation. This case was trivial and wasn't a good example to make my point.

Edit: another possible angle to this particular case, it's easy to fake the CPU ID.

I have so far considered data from nicehash to be a fairly authoritative source.
According to your source, the AMD 5950X processor hash is 23,37 kH/s. This is an overestimated hashrate.
https://xmrig.com/benchmark?cpu=AMD+Ryzen+9+5950X+16-Core+Processor
I saw tests of this processor with a result of 18-19kH/s.

This is the official xmrig benchmark site, all tests there are done online and validated on the server. What you see in the table at the top is an overclocked and highly tuned CPU (i.e. consider it competitive benchmarking), probably water cooled and with tweaked memory. 18-19 kh/s for 5950X is actually low, it can easily do 20-21 kh/s with just a bit of tuning.

I don't have a chance to check because I think CPU mining is pointless at the moment. And one processor needs a lot of hardware.

It is 100% fake. Bigger cache doesn't give it any advantage in RandomX because 5800X already has enough cache (2 MB per thread), so both will run at 10-11 kh/s with tuned memory.

I see that these processors can be put to very good use in the Ghostrider algorithm, the team behind Raptoreum I think is a really good one which has a clear road map ahead, sure they told us that we take our time and have not time limits, one thing is sure we are going to implement all of our projected road map goals.

That 3.38 Khsh or 3380 hash can net you like 150-200 Raptoreum daily,of course you would be mining at a loss now that everything is in red but for the longer term I think this is better than any other algorithms mentioned here.

Of course this is a personal opinion more than an advice so do your own research before putting your processors into 100% usage.

Old standard question: If mining is unprofitable, then why mine coins?
For each processor, you need to buy a motherboard, RAM, a good cooler, a hard drive and a power supply.
Probably worth considering motherboard options with 2 or 4 processors, if it will be cheaper.

Do you consider the AMD CPU Ryzen 7 5800X3D hashrate of 17.75 kH/s as listed on nicehash.com to be fake?
