I won 1500 dollars on a ufc fight + quit gambling

I will like to respect the gambler's choice if quitting is his deriving conclusion after making a huge sum of winnings, because many can't control their extent of going outrage with gambling till they finish up the whole money gradually, it has happens in the past whereby the whole money won goes back to the casino it came from because the gambler couldn't get hold of himself with gambling, but without this, i can't advise quitting gambling to anyone except on rare cases that this must be done in helping the gamble couple his life together from gambling.

But the thing is, it doesn't take @OP 24, after saying he is quitting pausing his gambling until 2023, post another thread of him playing gambling again.  And several post after he keep on planning quitting/pausing his gambling engagement but failed to do so.  Somehow, I think @OP is having an uncontrol urge to gamble, that is why, even if he wanted to quit, he can't do it.  Hopefully OP will see a doctor to check if he is in already addicted to gambling.

He seems to have a problem with his gambling as it seems he has not respected at all his desire to quit gambling until the beginning or the next year, and this is dangerous as if you set yourself a goal and then you fail again and again it may seem that this goal is impossible for you to reach and make you way more vulnerable to believe your gambling is outside of your control, which as we know can be incredibly problematic as this behavior can become a gambling addiction.

if today and last week you have won and made a huge profit, but you decide to stop gambling, it is very unlikely that you will actually stop.
because someone gambles out of habit and pleasure, when they have enough money there will always be a desire to bet and double that money.

In my opinion, someone will be able to stop playing gambling when they experience a very big loss and really have nothing else at stake.

I think there are really gamblers who will do that for real. Anyone of us can change our habit if we want to but some are only waiting for a specific time or go signal. In the case of the op, maybe this is what he was waiting for. He said to himself that he will need to win big for the last time, which will recover the money that he have lost before and it happen so he is fully committed now to quit gambling for good.

Not all gamblers are the same so don't compare what you are feeling to him. You like to play gambling, maybe because you don't have problems with it so far. Good luck and hope you can sustain it but in case you change, I am sure you will also think the same as the op.

How he would be attracting scammers? On what way? He had been showing off his winnings but pretty sure that he's not really that dumb enough if someone do make out some private message telling him

in relation for some deposits or asking some money or redirecting into some sites or whatsoever in correlated to this.We dont know if he's trolling or just boasting up his wins and pretending and
telling the public that he would really be liking to quit.Some might believe and some doesnt its his choice btw.

Being that to reactive when it comes to these things which you could presume that this might be some having the intent behind of these post but since everyone is free

If you can ask most members in this forum after posting significant gambling wins publicly they are almost every time privately inboxed to sign up with a referral link at some random casino or known one in reward for money .

He himself have stated, by mistake have won big money and quitting for the year. We can say himself activities as an attempt to scam, if he have assured with big wins through the signals on odd selection provided by him. If not some used to state betting on specific platform will give assured win and the chances are high. The access is limited and he/she will play for you. You need to send funds to him/her. There is no such statements.
