When I saw you guys wrote there will be some form of questionnaire I imagined hard quiz question, and everyone can google results and pretend to know everything about teams.
I don't know how you plan to make this fair competition, and is everyone going to have same questions or not.

Nope, not a quiz at all, and as we said, Googling won't help much. Everyone will get the same questions, they will be something like this:

• Will Benzema start the 1st game for France?
• England over/under 62% possession against Iran
• The team to score the most goals in the 1st round in group C will be:
• Messi to play the whole match against Saudi Arabia or not?

The questions will all be about the upcoming World Cup round and are meant to make you a bit more interested in the games themselves.

Thanks to the organizers for the opportunity, I enter both competitions (pool and this competition) although I prefer blind betting, so I'm not sure that I can answer questions well. Nevertheless, it is foolish to miss the opportunity to participate in the plus lottery

First step is to get 32 participants, than we can draw the groups and post here so you know who you are competing against.

Other instructions aren't really complicated. We will post a link to form where you will answer 10 questions and add a screenshot for qualifying bet. Read trough the rules and ask away if anything isn't clear.

There is still posibility to fine tune the rules before the start so let us know if you have some ideas how to improve further. For instance you all can thank buwaytress for bringing to our notice the fact that original rules had 0.5 mBTC for qualifying bets, while it is 0.5 mBTC equivalent in any Sportsbet accepted currency now.

That one is a bit difficult for us to check, but good catch, we will add it to do rules and then if we suspect someone we can ask our partners in sportsbet to check the particular tickets/users via bet id.

Only way I know to regulate that would be to force people to add eSports to the ticket Don't know why but any time you include eSport on the ticket Sportsbet disables cash out option. No matter if your eSport match is already finished and won. Obviously not gonna do that since it is not in the spirit of the World Cup but it did cross my mind.

I'd also ask for some common logic in such cases. If we say that a ticket needs to be played, of course that it cannot be cashed out.
Whoever tries to be smart will probably end up without reward, or banned from the competition.

The entry here is really low, with a big prize pool. Do the bare minimum that is required and you'll be fine.

A bet with odds 1.5 or over is meant just for that qualifying game. Meaning you have to play a sigle or a multi bet which contains any market from that round of world cup games which has the odds of at least 1.5.

So you can't play Brazil to not lose against Serbia and raise the odds with other games. You will have to play both to score or something that has big enough odds and then you can leave it as single or add something more. Whatever you prefer.

The full rules in case you want to read:

The ticket must include one game from the World Cup from that round with minimum odds of 1.5. Cashout is not permitted - we can check it with Sportsbet."

It's probably going to be MLs and betbuilders for me (those count right Trofo?).

And yes, I don't get why people aren't filling up these spots more quickly. We're all gamblers, and the forum suggests hundreds of people all gambling on football. Biggest football tournament on the planet. I'm going to be betting out of my ears anyway. Why not try for a nice Christmas bonus, right?

I'm going to be pinging others in other pools but only after talking about it in Clubtalk. Maybe it just needs time for news to travel.

Considering it's only day 2, we're quite happy with the response so far.

We're positive that we'll have all spots filled before the tournament starts.
If I counted correctly, 21 spots are already filled based on all criteria, with 7 additional applications from members of a lower rank and neg trust.

Maybe they haven't realized yet that the World Cup is about to start as they are used to seeing it in the summer 
As far as I remember, the number of participants in any pool is more than the places here, so I think all the places will be filled.

So instead, maybe after the round also people have to provide screenshot of their settled bet in the spreadsheet (just add imgur link in a new column). That should make the job easier for Sportsbet?

Another way I guess also in the end, all winners can be checked to save time, and disqualified ones can pass to next person. Sort of like in sports unfair winner is investigated later anyway hehe.

Easy for me, bet on Spain until they are out or win, handicap if odds not 1.5x

We have introduced seed spots and filled them with users who mostly participate in the pools. It was a bit subjective so sorry if you didn't make it.
It's basically just for fun and doesn't offer any real advantages - just means they cannot be placed in the same groups at the beginning.

The seed list isn't final as well, we'll let you know when you can take the data in the spreadsheet as granted.

I also got the message and the bracket and already put it all what I think will be in the FIFA extra mini prize.The boring thing about that thing is that once you predict the group stages and only a few games remain you have no choice of recovering and that is why Superbru excels,it gives you opportunities much further than FIFA predictor does and that is why the main event will be with Superbru to give us all an equal chance,even to those who do not start the event in the best possible way.

you simply can't, need some time for activity to grow in member rank, no matter how many merit's you have
it is the reason why this rule is here, to now allow people to make several accounts and join the competition

We have 35 applications so far, from which 25 are confirmed for participation.

We are keeping a place for @darxiaomi until end of day today as announced, and the other applications are from members that do not fulfill all the criteria but will be taken into consideration if the remaining 7 spots won't be taken by other members.

We plan to close applications by the end of this week and than work on the draws and questions for the 1st round.
