I don't think it's a forgotten cryptocurrency but there are so many new coins that brings good innovation that it makes litecoin seems irrelevant honestly, I think litecoin will hardly ever have the chance of increasing its value considering the new coins are the ones that gonna take all that momentum and the investment flow, I think litecoin will eventually lose its value instead since it will eventually be forgotten and as a result, become dead coin in the future.

Yeah it's forgotten since most people only look for Bitcoin, not Litecoin. Litecoin's development also slow and the Mimblewimble privacy mechanism is seems not really important. It's good to see about privacy improvement, but it's not quite enough since I don't find any trusted Litecoin mixer and DEX that has a good trading volume. Bitcoin already have both of it, so it's easier to use the privacy feature.

Some people can directly use Monero to achieve 100% privacy rather than need to use Litecoin to get privacy.

It's probably because Litecoin's team aren't focusing on the marketing/promotion aspects of the project. Slow development progress also contributes to lower demand on the market. Not even the privacy feature brought the attention of mainstream investors and traders alike. The only way I see LTC reaching a new ATH in price is if Bitcoin turns extremely bullish in the future. Other than that, LTC's market prices will remain relatively stagnant.

At least, the Blockchain is up and running after all these years. In times where centralization is harming the crypto industry, Litecoin could come to the rescue as a decentralized alternative to high-performance blockchain networks like Solana and BNB. As long as you're still able to buy/sell LTC in the future, there should be nothing to worry about. Just my opinion Smiley

At present mostly those people like Litecoin. Who claim faucets. An investor and the trader mostly like Bitcoin and they only believe in Bitcoin and trade with it or Hodl it.

At beginning Litecoin took a nice attention from the users of crypto. But now it is going down and down.

An the second reason is we mostly see the news about BNB ETH Solana and others famous Blockchains. But we found news about Litecoin rarely. Therefore it hasn't much attention now.

If you need an anonymous and decentralized coin then bitcoin should be the first coin you look for and if you want to look for huge profits then altcoin will be your place to go. Nowadays most of the investors entering the market just want to make a lot of money, they don't care about technology or other features.
Those altcoins you call shitcoins, they're nothing special, they don't have the anonymity and security technology you're talking about but they have the potential to bring huge returns to investors and those are what they need. It depends on what your purpose in this market is.

Litecoin is a classic cryptocurrency and I don't think it will die. What happens is that it just doesn't have a prominent position in crypto market anymore, because it has become obsolete with the launchment of new cryptocurrencies on the last years. People are always looking for new hypes and if old currencies don't have an original aspect to prevail, investors will jump from currency to currency as new trends are started.

actually litecoin is not forgotten, but investors still choose or follow the coin that is currently trending, because following the trending coin can get quite a lot of profit, and there are still many online shops that accept litecoin for payment, so if litecoin is forgotten it is wrong, Surely there will be a time when Litecoin will rise to a higher price

I agree with you, Litecoin will rise again because their teams are seriously working to ensure their investors feel the positive changes in their investment by making the Litecoin pump higher as never before in the market to attract more investors in the community. I don't think, Litecoin will be forgotten in the crypto market because there are still some traders who still believe that with time it will pump higher for those that invested in it to achieve a huge amount of money in the future. Those shops accepting Litecoin for payment still believe that nothing last forever in the crypto market, maybe it can be the turn of Litecoin to pump higher in this month of November.

What makes Litecoin valuable is the fact that people want to use it. People hoard their Litecoins because they believe they can be worth much more in the future. And if enough people think that way, then Litecoin's value will go up. It's all about perception only.

I personally think that Litecoin should not be forgotten. For some reason, there are some people who are still interested in Litecoin, and have even been mining this cryptocurrency. I don't know how long people will continue to mine it, but so far it seems they are still using it in trading and other transactions.
Well, on the market there are not many big coins of the top 50 that use the POW algorithm and that can be mined - from the major ones are BTC, LTC, BCH.
All others like ADA, BNB, SOL and others on POS algorithm.
For those who already bought ASICs, they have to do something with them, don't they? Not to throw them to garbage I guess.
That's partly why LTC hashrate is growing so fast even at price $60 for LTC. In the past, at this hash rate, the price of LTC was $200-300.

Litecoin is not a forgotten crypto coin but the team are probably one of the slowest in this space, it took them like forever to upgrade Litecoin logo and use new designs, still this upgrade isn't enough, the project needs something that will make the whole crypto investors want some Litecoin for themselves, the only problem here is Litecoin have a slow team.

What do you think about LTC? Will it die soon? Or will it last? Do you think it'll go sky-high sometime in the future? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
I still think LTC is a sleeping giant waiting for the right time to rise and get another high so I don't think LTC will die soon. And I still hope that LTC can increase again and be sky-high in the future.

I also believe that there are still many supporters who provide support for LTC. So for now, LTC still takes time, especially when the market is still in a bear market position and if you want to buy LTC, now is a good time so you can buy it.

And it was the reason why it was been rejected by most investors and traders. A reason why trusting this project is even hard knowing that the team is not aggressive to push the project into growing. What they did to their project, slow development and market improvement, that also what they get - low investment/profit. Now, it was their job to make this project interesting to the community, or else, the more it was been rejected by most and even dead in the future.

Nobody really forgets Litecoin. Even today Litecoin is getting optimistic adoption from Moneygram which recently launched a service that allows users of the Moneygram mobile app to buy, trade and store cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, ethereum and Litecoin as well.
And Litecoin entering this November experienced a price increase of about 10% from the price of $55 to the price of $62, this proves that Litecoin is still in demand and not forgotten

When I first entered the Bitcoin market, I had heard of Litecoin. Since then, there has always been slow progress. This is the impression it left on me. Some friends said that the development of his team was slow. This confirms my opinion. Still, I will put it at the top of my list of reliable coins in the crypto market. I invested for a while, but then I turned to different coins. If I have to answer the question asked in the title, yes, I think it is a forgotten cryptocurrency. It has recently increased by 10% and has come to the fore again. Without this increase, it would not even be discussed whether it was forgotten or not.

Not really forgotten if we are talking about it here. Plus, even though many other coins from those days went away, Litecoin is still 20th at the moment. If a coin is top 20 that means it’s not really forgotten and it’s still there. This is a coin that has been around since 2011, and it is still in top 20 which should tell you how strong it is.

I have always been a supporter of it, and invested a small bit into it as well. I am not supporting it because of my investment because it’s a very low amount, but if I had to rank my favourite four, it would be bitcoin, ethereum, bnb and litecoin. Those four are really better than I could ever expect.

What do you think about LTC? Will it die soon? Or will it last? Do you think it'll go sky-high sometime in the future?
I think litecoin is one of those sleeping giants. You won't see them pumping like the other top altcoins but soon, they will also have their own moment. During a bear market I don't think there are hypes that have happened but if ever there are then I think that hype are only for the meme coins. Altcoin is a top altcoin so it can't possibly join there but don't be shy about those hypes. They are only temporary and once it is over those meme coins are also going to die.

Many people only treat litecoin like a currency due to its amazing properties. Its speed are blazing fast, its fees are only cheap. No wonder why many merchants are supporting this coin. I see this as a reason on why litecoin value is hard to climb up because people don't hodl it for a long time.

OMG, I still have a bit of LTC as a long term investment since 2020. It's funny because I was hoping that LTC could surpass the previous ATH, but it's true, it's kind of forgotten. In fact, the price doesn't seem to have changed much. And finally, I still keep it and hope it will boom back in the bulls later. Basically, every new bull, some of the old coins will be knocked out due to new coins that are more up-to-date, interesting, and also have a lot of demand. So if the old coins are not able to compete and upgrade them with the latest developments, then the longer they will be left behind. And I started to worry about this because to be honest I still have some coins like that in my wallet.

I haven't thought of that before. Most old coins practically disappeared, while Litecoin is still among the top 20 coins in market cap. The same can be said about Dogecoin. Development progress for the LTC project may be slow, but at least it's being actively traded on the market. I wouldn't count on it as a long-term investment, though.

Every day, it seems LTC's price is getting lower while other coins pump like crazy. At times, market prices remain stagnant, giving us little-to-no chance for profit. As much as I'd love to see LTC valued in the $1k range someday, there isn't much demand for such prediction to become a reality. LTC is by far one of the most decentralized cryptocurrencies after Bitcoin, so it's likely it'll last for generations. Just my opinion Smiley

I'd never say it was already forgotten because as we can see, Litecoin is still one of the top 20 coins in the market and it sustains that position due to continuous demand and of course, the use of this project in the community. Maybe we could just say that it was been rejected because it was barely to hear people talking about it as mostly we heard about meme coins and hyped projects in which the interest of the people had changed direction. However, despite that situation, we never see Litecoin in a huge dip which is an indication that this project is still healthy.

Not only LTC but many old coins including ADA, XRP ... are facing stiff competition from new altcoins so it is normal for them to go unnoticed. Investment trends today people will focus on new projects rather than old ones because everyone knows that projects with a lot of hype will bring big profits. Totally agree with what you said. Over the next few years, LTC and many other old coins will disappear from the crypto map, forgotten.
Usually people compared LTC with ADA or Ripple, but it seems to me that this is fundamentally wrong, because LTC use the POW algorithm, and ADA and Ripple are pOS projects with an initially different distribution concept.
Plus, there is more transparency in the LTC, recently the hashrate has been growing steadily, and usually where bitcoin is accepted, Litecoin usually follows. According to the number of ATMs, he was even ahead of Bitcoin

What do you think about LTC? Will it die soon? Or will it last? Do you think it'll go sky-high sometime in the future? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

Litecoin has "lost" mass popularity only for the reason that it is not an overly volatile coin. as you can see, you yourself are interested in whether it has the capacity for "sky-high".
After a long time, it has certainly proven to be a confidential and reliable coin. It does not offer excessive profits, but certainly not large losses. And in the end, it is almost mandatory on every exchange. Because of this, the low withdrawal fee and the speed of the transaction, it is excellent for moving within the account on different platforms. It is certainly not a dead coin, nor will it be.

I have to say it could be, if the top 20 requires it. You may consider it going lower and not hyping up like others, but the hype it has is a steady one and that’s what matters. Some other "new" coin could end up being above it one day, but a year later it would be 50th while litecoin is still 20th. That’s the reason why I invest into it, it may not be in top 5 or even 10, but it is in top 20 and sustainable way as well.

While some other coin could start at 50th position, be 8th after a few years, and then go out of top 100 after a few years, and it has happened with many coins whereas Litecoin will keep on being top 20 all through those years.
