Opportunity is a golden right that you have to take if you consider the current situation that is happening maybe it can be said as a conspiracy or exchange drama that becomes a polemic of problems until the market goes down then it must be reconsidered, if only to see this is an opportunity then it's a good point also but in reality you will invest for the long term too and it is impossible to sell when the price has reached $20k of course you want more than that.

I don't think that bitcoin will go as low as $10k though, perhaps the bottom has been reach at $15k.

But yeah, in any case that it will go down to $10k then that is the biggest opportunity once again, probably we will be back 2019-2020 prices, right after the pandemic scare wherein the price goes down to $3k and then bounce back to $6k and then eventual bull run.

I'm not saying that we will be in a bull run right now, still very far, but the chance is here once again, even at the current price of $16,700, this is still a great entry point, in my opinion.

If you believe in bitcoin for the long term, if you want a decentralised means of payment and store of value, these are good prices to buy at, there is no need to guess at an exact figure.

I think this cycle is proving to be the worst ever in percentage terms. The peak of the cycle was disappointing in this sense and at the moment, what was said about bitcoin not having fallen below the peak of the previous cycle more than momentarily, as happened in March 2020, has also been broken.

This cycle was initially known as the institutional adoption cycle but I would call it the 'leverage disaster' cycle, both because of the cascading downward liquidations that have occurred and the bankruptcy of the exchanges for playing with leverage instead of being quietly guarding deposits and collecting commissions.

People are not taking Bitcoins seriously and are underestimating it. I mean have they forgotten the marketcap of Bitcoins? They should really be happy seeing a 70k usd valued coin available to purchase at 16k usd. Instead of complaining, they should have bought as many coins as they can in this cheap, affordable price. Moreover if we greed for more and wait for more low price, then there is a chance that we might miss the best price which is right now. Consider yourself lucky, if you are able to buy Bitcoins below 20k usd.

Bitcoin could drop to around $10k if more negative news is spread by people who don't want to see bitcoin grow any better. And it looks like the FTX case managed to shake the crypto market and fall even deeper. But we can still hope that the price doesn't really go down to $10k but if it does, it means we get a big discount so we can buy bitcoins at that price. I still don't even believe in the narrative that says "Bitcoin is dead" because for me Bitcoin is still alive and can still survive in the long term. Decline in price is not the end of Bitcoin because the potential for improvement is still there and on the other hand Bitcoin is also still being liked and traded by many people at this time.

You also said that a good point to enter would be at 10K and that implies that you yourself still really like Bitcoin and don't think it's going to die. How things have swung around. The world's 3 richest tech billionaires in the same week showed why the crypto ideals they support and advocate have never been sound, while Bitcoin plods along, doing what it's supposed to do, overdelivering.

You could be right, but if so I think you’d probably have to wait until the mtgox coins and the us gov coins hit the market. That could be nearly a year. If you have the patience maybe you could get lucky. There’s also a chance we’re seeing the worst of it now and when the massive groups of coins hit the market they’re swept up by large investment companies. That’s why I think dollar cost averaging in throughout this entire bear market is the way to go.

Fair for those who are looking forward for more drops but not fair for those who are done buying and want's the price to move up. For them the waiting game for the next bull run is being extended again. There are two scenarios I can see that will happen once we get to $10k and that is btc will drop further because the panic will be more intense or the price will now recover because many people are going to buy it.

Who said no one knows? CZ knew this will come after his announcement of selling all there FTT tokens as part of there separation to FTX. Besides, you are claiming that market is already will overturned while there are huge funds trap on FTX exchange and many companies that exposed on SBF investment is still not reporting there damage report. It doesn't make much of a difference if you buy a small amount, but if you buy a large amount of Bitcoin, then the difference will definitely be very noticeable. Now you can do a little calculation between the price of $20K and the price of $15K, the difference is very clear which is $5K in one unit and if for example you buy 100 units of Bitcoin, will you also not be able to feel the difference If so, that's perfectly normal. But if not, I think it's less than normal.

Yes, I predict that the bear market will close at $10k. If we compare it with the previous bullrun, each bullrun will increase 10 times. Automatically the Bitcoin price can reach $100k in the upcoming bullrun. In the 2021 bullrun Bitcoin price moved at $6k, and ATH broke at $68k. So this process will continue. So there is no dead word for Bitcoin. It's just a process of both increasing and decreasing prices.

The market is falling again and we are about to lose the $16k resistance again, I'm not too surprised because I believe the domino effect created by FTX is just the beginning, there will be more bloodbaths in the market until everyone is exhausted. This is indeed the best time for us to buy cheap coins when everything is really on panic or extreme fear specially on the negative sentiments that we had currently on the market.

For those who have seen the last bear market in 2018? yeah, we have seen enough and it seems just repeating itself for this bitcoin is dead narrative in 2022. And so with that, we will know that later we will have to see another bull run, we just need to be patience. As to how to reply or react to this negativity, just simply ignore them and for sure, you will be a battle tested and harden bitcoin holders through the years and you will simply get affected by this ranting from others, specially those perma bears here. Anyway, I'm not interested in reading any kind of predictions anymore; I don't see the point; whatever is going to happen will happen. On top of that I'm generally not interested in Bitcoin's price movements. A few months ago, in a similar thread, I had mentioned that Bitcoin's lowest point would settle at approximately $14.500–15.000. So far, I haven't been proven wrong. To hell with people who say bitcoin is dead. The fact is that we have survived a long period of time and we have survived so far in the face of the negative narrative that is thrown at bitcoin. Indeed today shows a very deep drop from the ATH that we saw some time ago. But we don't just focus on the price but we also have to look at the movement of bitcoin from year to year. Have we forgotten what bitcoin looks like? Actually, I quite regret not knowing bitcoin when it was first introduced by Satoshi.

I imagine the rough timing to estimate a break of this range, regardless of where the bottom price might be estimated would be when the blue line here or 50 day average is ascending.   Either we near that moving average and fail in some way, breaking downwards most likely or we find the change in momentum is enough to bring us upto this rough ceiling of 18k.   Once we have both momentum and have regained a 2nd rung on the ladder of support/resistance levels I think we can estimate a trend bringing us past 20k, etc.

Anyone who understands market cycles would probably firmly believe that bitcoin is not dead and will not die simply because it lost a sizeable price during a bearish phase. I personally am not too worried about the price, in the sense that this volatility is normal even though currently bitcoin has lost 75% of its price since November 2021.

It's too early to judge whether bitcoin will die simply by losing its value, and certainly we are still above the 2017 ATH so the optimism remains. It's not going to be a fast move for the whales to control the pump by the end of the year I don't think prices will go over 20k towards the start of the year and still stay at current prices, we'll probably continue to see prices continue to $16k until there's actually a positive lead event but for now there is still too much FUD which can cause it to drop again.
Well in the next year we should be able to expect something even better for bitcoin.

Yeah, they really don't know what to do, or just heard bitcoin from someone bought at the top price. Going to be very expensive lessons for them. But hey, someone needs to start something and probably it's the best lesson they can learn here before making money in the next bull run.
