It seems different now because "crypto" has never been farther from Bitcoin at this stage. Sure, we had the 2017 ICO era with thousands of shitcoins spewing out of Ethereum but you now have scores of Ethereum lookalikes, spewing out dozens more of crypto we'll never see or hear about. Exchanges creating money out of thin air, newcomers to crypto never actually knowing how to use crypto, wallets, much less own a single satoshi.

Bitcoin doesn't just survive these things, it thrives. Price reflects that only later on.

Why not? this is not the first time a project has crashed or an exchange has crashed, we have been through these things in the past and have overcome them all and this time I also believe that nothing is difficult for bitcoin or for the market in general. Because bitcoin dropped from $69k to $16k and you start doubting the existence of bitcoin then I believe you have been in the market long enough but you don't understand bitcoin yet. If you have ever followed the history of bitcoin development, in 2009 the price of bitcoin was less than 0.01 USD and compared to the current price, it has increased hundreds of thousands of times. This can't be a failure or dying, even if bitcoin doesn't bounce back to $69k again, it can't be called a failure.

I don't know if you are referring to projects in the sense of CEX or various altcoins that sprout like mushrooms after the rain, but Bitcoin does not depend on them, even if they all fail, Bitcoin will survive. What we need is a lot of firm regulation regarding who can start a crypto exchange and in what way, and that the same CEX cannot list various at least suspicious projects.

In other words, people like Kwon or Bankman should be made as difficult or completely impossible to play in the crypto world because, firstly, they do not know what they are doing, and secondly, they do not accept responsibility for their actions. Both of them should be in prison, and all their assets should be seized and sold so that their clients can at least partially settle, and when they get out of prison, they should be banned for life from doing any business related to finance.

Crypto can survive this winter because I believe crypto still has the strength to overcome the negative news or what is happening in the market today. You don't need to worry about current market conditions because you've experienced them before, so I'm sure you will have a way of dealing with them.

Just let the new projects that can't survive this winter because other new projects will replace them after this winter. We have to find a way to survive and we should be able to buy more bitcoins in the bear market.

1.The people, who got burned should have known the saying "Not your keys, not your coins". Do not trust a centralized company, it doesn't matter how "trustworthy" this company appears to be.

There are a lot of beginners and there will always be beginners coming up in future. When some person starts investing in crypto, he does not have the information about the saying "Not your keys, not your coins" . These people have just got to know about crypto from some friend and purchased it on some exchange and let it be there. Also, there are old people who are not that much technical.

2. The end of a bunch of crypto scams has nothing to do with Bitcoin. The Bitcoin blockchain is fine. The BTC miners are still mining.
The Bitcoin price is surprisingly stable in a time of constant FUD and bearish signals.

I agree that it is not the fault of bitcoin. But image of bitcoin is tarnished because of this. People associate crypto with bitcoin and when they face any scam in crypto field , it is natural that they will develop a bad feeling for bitcoin and other coins also. I will not be surprised if majority of people who lost funds due to FTX collapse completely go away from crypto for life.

It's hard to argue. Especially now, when the involvement in cryptocurrency is only growing every day. But I don't think many users bring it prosperity. Those who do not understand this just want to increase their money, they invest in crypto, and at the first sharp drop in the price, everyone sells. But at the same time, their dissatisfaction generates a negative atmosphere around cryptocurrency. There are a lot of them, and they all judge whether a cryptocurrency is alive or not, only by its price. It doesn't matter to them how much technology and projects appear around it.

After almost 9 years of playing around with bitcoin and cryptos I have nearly seen it all.

wow you've been in this market for a long time, you've been almost 10 years now, you've been in this market for many, many years, in my case I've been in this market for 5 years, I'm still new to the market but I've already seen a lot of things, especially in the times when china dominated the market where whatever the chinese government said the price of bitcoin fell at the same time, those were dark times

The crypto winter kicked off and the first casualty was Luna... 6 months later we watched Ftx collapse, and now many "Trustworthy" and "Safe" exchanges are playing games with user funds due to the mismanagement of assets and too much exposure to Ftx.
What happens next?

this is a problem that has no solution in the short term, governments have not made laws to be able to carry out inspections on exchanges, so we are all just going to continue using exchanges, of course we have to use them with caution and suspicion and not use exchanges as if they were wallets , but that's all we can do, there's no other short-term solution. we need exchanges to trade, so we will have to use them

no doubt that this time many people were burned a lot and it will not end anytime soon and will end up in the courts and will end with arrests, the fact is that the size of the hole is very big and many people lost a lot of money

yes, for the time being there is no way to be positive given that there is not even a short-term solution to this whole problem yet, the market has a greater chance of going down a lot than going up, so we are going through dark times

Crypto can survive this winter because I believe crypto still has the strength to overcome the negative news or what is happening in the market today. The current bearish season certainly provides a lot of risks for traders if they are not careful. this moment becomes a routine moment because this season keeps repeating itself even though it is a bit different. A lot of negative news appeared to affect the crypto market and coupled with some negative events that made the current market continue to be bearish.

Just let the new projects that can't survive this winter because other new projects will replace them after this winter. We have to find a way to survive and we should be able to buy more bitcoins in the bear market.

New projects that have quality will survive and be able to weather the current winter. They tried to hold on as hard as they could. Several projects seem to be currently under hype despite the bearish bitcoin market. We have to buy as many assets as possible to get ready for the next season, namely the bull market season, we just have to wait.

My encouraging words will be never give up hope on btc, it may not look hopeful right now but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
Btc must have witness more harder winters in the past where many people thought the end of btc has come, btc is dead and all, but 10 years after, btc is here and much more stronger and popular.

As for alternative crypto, well it all depends on the project and the team. It is mostly in this period that you can separate long term players from quick money grab teams. There is nothing much a team can do in terms of price than to keep building and developing the project to be more solid, build more partnerships that will support the project positively.  Any alts that is focus on these at this hard time will surely go a long way.

I am not worried about bitcoin at all, the fundamentals of bitcoin are still as strong as they were before the collapse of Luna or FTX, however altcoins are the real problem, we do not need 10000 different coins, do we really have 10000 different ideas and applications for the blockchain that we need so many coins? Obviously not, so I hope that during the next year at least half of those coins disappear, I know they will soon be replaced by other useless coins but we need to reduce that number somewhat as that number is simply unsustainable.

Being on market for long years will really make yourself that fully aware on whats happening around which it would really be just normal that you could really make out comparison
on each year and cant really deny that this year alone is the worst, but doesnt mean that this market would be over.

It would really survival of the fittest,even everything turns out to be shit and too extreme bears around but it is really that impossible that we would really be

But OP can always be sure that bitcoin will remain one of the best assets and currencies in the crypto industry. Despite all the problems that the current failed project is experiencing, bitcoin is still working as it should. They just need to realize that the best wallet for the long term storage of their bitcoins is not a centralized platform like an exchange or online account. So they need to have wallet that they have complete control over because your keys are your coins.

However, this does not imply that the market will vanish. Remembers previous history, after every bear season, we see ATH. So, we don't know when, but the market will recover. I agree that the market will not disappear just because of the collapse of some projects like Luna or FTX now. The market will recover over time, but not anytime soon as the crypto market has to gain more trust after the Luna and FTX debacle. Fortunately, our countdown to the next halving is getting closer by the day. So there should be great confidence in crypto which itself will also increase demand.

crypto is been shaken on the current or recent events happening in the market which i couldnt really deny too that it is really worrisome if you are really that optimistic or really believing into its potential.

If not for the varse negative effects these kind of incidents have in the entire market, I would have loved that these kinds of events occur from time to time in order to sanitize the crypto industry. If these bad days are not experienced, the scam projects will live a little longer and claim some peoples fund.
Then,the bear market has so much prolonged that I would want a little green for some months to rekindle the hope and enthusiasm in the cryptocurrency industry.

The cycle is still the same after ATH, there will definitely be a bearish trend. I can't remember what caused the bitcoin price to drop in 2018 after late 2017 hitting ATH, but this year FTX and Luna may be the reason for the drop. But I wouldn't worry too much about how new cycles will form again, and this will happen. Bitcoin is still the most potential asset in the long term, so I think it's about time they take advantage of the current price drop for a long term investment.
