BTC is in bear market for 370 days. 580 days if we skip fake new ATH in Now 2021. Fear greed index show extreme fear for last whole year if we skip few days of fear and neutral. 1 year of extreme fear man. Every investor emotions are ragged. Its good time to look for the bottom rather than call "in my opinion that btc is in Bear market". You should call it 300 days ago and predict 15k bottom, when price was at 45k. Not predict 13.5k bottom at a price of 16k when ATH was at 69k. No one should care about this 2.5k$ delta when we already dumped 53k$.

Your predictions might come true, might not. But the fact is that if also BTC falls to 12k usd, we shouldn’t lose hope from it. Bitcoins are very valuable and have already proved that previously. So yes if we don’t care about it and just panic sell, then definitely we will make a big mistake and this will definitely hamper your profits that you might have made, if you would have hold it for a little longer. Bitcoins marketcap is enough to prove that, what’s Bitcoins are capable of. So yes if also BTC falls down in price, don’t sell it. Just hold and enjoy profits later.

Admittedly unpredictable, I thought bitcoin would not be able to drop below 17k but in the end the FTX crash broke all my speculations. Point is not all prices are equally weighted in their likelihood, there is a large gap between 20k and the peak prices we had prior to reaching that plateau.    We rose very quickly if you remember right through the range at the end of 2020, because of that it becomes more likely we will retrace fast back down again also.
  If all prices were equally probable it wouldn't be the case we had such a thing as support and resistance and other dynamics.   We can reach back to the lower teen prices but the wider question is for what period of time, it could be minutes or months that it occurs.   I do think these prices are far better value then chasing the highest prices seen this year, ironically interest is less when the dollar gives more Bitcoin in exchange; human nature is quite ironic.

We already has bad news recently , our market fails when the FTX/Binance happens so what we have now is the continues effect of that , but like now? we have dropped from 16k and now 15k is the maintaining value and you may correct that there would be another dumping in the coming days but hopefully not this December as we are expecting something really high with this.

I gotta say, you should hold on tight coz we might gonna go deeper than just $13k. Possibly a $10k mark or worse. But that doesn't only a bad thing either. When you see it in a positive perspective, that actually is a HUGE opportunity to buy more and enjoy even more profit in the next coming years.

No one will dispute your opinion that the bear market is going on right now.

The bad news has already happened and that is why btc fell to this $16 mark. Yes, this is true, this level can be broken and the price can fall even lower if btcoin holders continue to sell it further.

I think you shouldn't panic about what's going on if you're a long-term holder and will be holding btc for a long time to come. $16.000 is not $16. Bitcoin still has a high value, which is likely to increase in the future. This scenario has already been played out more than once.

There is no problem with that because it is called speculation, but where I have some kind of doubt or I need some kind of clarification is why you choose 13,500 dollars. I mean it is not even 13,000 dollars you had to put $500 on it showing that there is a particular reason for choosing that figure.

The mtGox issue was just excess liquidity, that'd be a spike down and back up again not so negative especially longer term.   The wider issue now and maybe every low for BTC is confidence and the genuine backbone belief to the usage not just now but ever, future build in its basic utility and also growth towards greater populations of use.

Bitcoin has been trying to recover from the last week of October to the first week of November, but has collapsed again since November 8th closing at around $15,742 on November 9th.

The FTX issue has affected the crypto market in general and many investors and traders are starting to lose faith in centralized exchanges resulting in a lack of trading activity making bitcoin trade volumes lower. Prices won't rise anytime soon, in my opinion. As for Bitcoin, I don't know where the bottom is either. I find it mind-boggling how people are now selling after watching the price fall all this way. There is also some speculator that predicted Bitcoin to go below $10k and as low as $6k in this bear market.  According to one of the article[1] in Cointelegraph, there is a possibility that Bitcoin will crash below $10k and bottom near $6k.  I find this speculation absurd because there is no sign that BTC will crash beyond $15k. 

According to Decentrader’s Filbfilb, the cause of the dip is Bitcoin capitulation.  With that he said,  Filbfilb stated:

“In my worst case scenario, I think that would be probably where we end up, like oldschool, rock-hard support,” he said about a bidding zone around $6,500.

He also states that the effect of FTX has more repercussions that could possibly remove the buy support which can lead to Bitcoin Capitulation.  Although highly unlikely, this kind of event is very possible because as we know Bitcoin market is crazy, and anything can happen.

I just saw a prediction which I'm inclined to agree with for the markets in general which is strength or cessation to selling to see out 2022, a relief rally if you like; however, in 2023 thats when you need to be on guard again.   A second attempt can be more surprising then the first sell and throw people off, it can be that the price moves with larger amplitude for larger appearance in negative price but with less volume because of an imbalance between buyers and sellers.   If that occurs at the tail end it will finally become bullish imo

Well the best indicators have been both LTC and DOGE are doing well.

Why can't bitcoin fall deeper? people said the same thing a few months ago when bitcoin hit $17.6k and bounced, then bitcoin continued to hold above $19k for months leading everyone to believe that we had bottomed out this bearish season until the FTX crash caused bitcoin to plummet below $16k. Just because price did went under 20k doesn't mean that people didn't buy at 20k, there were soooo many people who bought between 18k and 21k, because that was the range we stayed for too long, for months we stayed there and that resulted with the fact that many ended up buying there.

I guess that staying here is neither bad nor good at the same time. We have no idea if it will continue to drop, or if it will start to go up but know that it is not great for all of us. I am pretty sure that we should not be focusing on anything that is close to "predicting" because we will fail, it's not easy, it's as possible as flipping a coin, and you might be 50% right but that doesn't mean you knew it, it just mean you got lucky.

Probably it could be the worst scenario for this year if we reach $13,500, the good thing though is that we have reach a mental support of $20,000 before the FTX that's why it just fall to $15,500.

But if by chance we are like in the $16,000'ish that time maybe we are in the territory of $13,500. So I guess everything happen for a reason, that FTX could have been really worst for us and who knows, maybe the selling pressure will be so big that it could be lower that the worst price that we could think of.

The journey of the 2023 Bitcoin market price is just beginning so anything is possible.  It has been proven that @OP's prediction of $13500 BTC did not happen.  But I think $30k for 2023 is possible but I do not think it will happen in the first quarter of 2023.  We need to get past these negative market sentiments brought by the fiascos that happened in late 2022 and changed with positive news such as the adoption and new huge company adoption of several new start-up Bitcoin companies.  If the latter happened during the course of 2023, I believe Bitcoin will start moving an upward trend and possibly reach $20k moving to a $30k price.

It was already known that it wouldn't happen, we are talking about something that is a bit rarer in sight and there was just a "speculation" about it, which means it's not a guaranteed thing at all. I am expecting it to be something much higher from here on out in 2023 as well and not anything lower like this.

I think 13.5k is not something we will ever see again, we passed it once without knowing that it will ever be back there again, and that is when we should have bought it, but we didn't and now we are not going to see it go down that much ever again. I am personally quite happy with the way it is handled so far and I believe that bitcoin price will go to ATH before it ever reaches under 15k again.

There was times I was worried we was going to see the price of bitcoin go down below $16000 and this low to $13500 but we are lucky it did not happen.

That is a good expectation mate but better not to look for much or even  for confident bottom , because as We have observed over the years? that when the halving is coming ? mostly the price badly went down then recovered after so it is indeed a waiting game and a lot of risking before reaching that goal.

You should really make yourself that prepared or anticipating most of the time on what would be the price on due time or manner because not all would really be that going as planned or things that we are expecting.
Market is truly that unpredictable and there's no way that we can really tell whether the price would be going back below on 13k price point or would be this current price is the bottom price.
It is really hard to make out such decisions because price is volatile and if you dont have that risk taking factor then it would really be making hard decisions.
This is why you should really be versatile as much as possible.

We are already in 2023, $13500 was OP prediction for the bottom of BTC in 2022. There is no way that the prediction to come true since it is no longer 2022. 

Regarding the possibility of BTC price to drop below $13k, IMO it is unlikely to happen. Most people predict that the bullrun to happen in 2024-2025, 2023 should be the time for BTC price to increase gradually. Although there are still some negative issues in 2023 (including the recession), I personally believe that BTC price to start increase constantly. In early 2023 BTC may struggle hard to pass $20k, but after several months it seems to increase constantly above $20k.

I agree that crypto market is always unpredictable. However, we can analyze it based on its history and the current market situation.
