The problem is that by guessing 2 numbers you get the first lowest prize and this is usually the amount needed to buy 1 or 2 more tickets. It's just to make you keep playing. I think the people in your country believes in such superstitious belief. Though there is nothing wrong with that given that there are various cultures in the world, but you have to understand that the lottery is specifically tied with the game of luck.
