There is no way to compare Bitcoin to Altcoins. Bitcoin is to be considered one of the most authentic coins in the crypto market in every aspect. History is a witness that since the beginning, Bitcoin has proved that it follows the bullish moment, so Bitcoin has been and will remain the number one coin of the market from the beginning. It has never happened that Bitcoin has been number two; it has always been number one, whether it is price or M.cap Volume etc. It has always excelled in every aspect as compared to the rest of the coin. Even Etherum could not compete with Bitcion. 
 
So it's meant to say that it is not possible to compare Bitcoin or Altcoin, but Bitcoin is a preferred investment for everyone, while Altcoin should be bought for the purpose of profit according to the opportunity, that is also only Top Altcoin. Because if we look at history, how many Altcoins came into existence with Bitcoin but with time no longer exist while Bitcoin still exists. This means Altcoin is dependent on Bitcoin while Bitcoin is independent. So choose Bitcoin as a lifetime investment and other altcoins used for profit from time to time.

I agree. It's just safer in the long run, even with the possibilities in alts, if a person has the funds to spare, it would be wise to use them for BTC accumulation (using DCA, preferably). No storm would break the trust in it.

I agree. It's just safer in the long run, even with the possibilities in alts, if a person has the funds to spare, it would be wise to use them for BTC accumulation (using DCA, preferably). No storm would break the trust in it.

What I have learnt is that why people alternatively invest in altcoins is due to the potentiality they have to give out huge profit even with small capital invested which is true, only that the odds of losing ones money through altcoins are way high than making profit from it, reason why altcoin investment are  mostly referred to as another form of gambling. Unlike bitcoin with higher potential to make from it only that the price of a bitcoin is high that not many can afford buying 1btc so going for alt tokens with the hope of making great profit to later use in buying a larger portion of bitcoin to hodl as the reliable cryptocurrency has been the plan of some altcoins hunters.
