I would say that we have to be a little bit patient with the coach. And as much as it may seem right now that it is his fault we all know that there are a lot the with the level factors that’s coming to play. So it is not just his fault, but it could be the team dynamics motivation, the level of cohesion and so many other factors. There’s still room for improvement and I hope that he has been able to learn or will learn from the loss. And then if he doesn’t perform as expected, he can be sacked simple and straight straightforward

I was of the opinion that he needed to be given a chance to redeem himself in order to set things right in the team even if the fault might be coming from the players but their loss to Guinea-Bissau shows that there's been no improvement over the couple of weeks and there's a high chance that if he continues to coach the team it's still going to be the same thing. Losing down to 3 nil was really terrible, even the weakest country In Africa would not have such an embarrassing loss. He needs to be replaced as quickly as possible to know if that can fix the current problem with the team.

As Finidi took over the management in Rivers United, they have not really done well to impressed fans. I thought Rivers United would played the last match in the 2025/26 but it was Ikorodu City FC Vs Enugu Rangers and the Rangers won the match and became the champions.

I admit he did a bad job with the super eagle for the time he was in charge. I don't want to comment on his performance at Rivers United since I don't usually follow up with all the teams. However, I checked Rivers United last five matches result and they were not that impressive. They won two from the five and the remaining three were draws. What I don't understand is how Rivers United is still maintaining second on the table after six matches. So I don't think he's doing that bad at the club if he's still keeping them on the second position. Or does this mean the entire performance in NPFL has dropped dramatically?

What is always wrong with our home base coaches? if they had given the coaching contract to a foreign coach people would have complained, now they have employed Finidi he is still flopping, i am even surprised at his coaching performance because back then during his playing days he use to be a fantastic player. In all this i miss late Stephen Keshi he is the only Nigerian coach i could count on to deliver any day, anytime.

Being a fine player doesn’t make one to be a good coach. The way footballers have to learn their own skill, it is the same way coach have their own skill to learn to be a good coach. The reason why most Nigeria coache are not performing well is because of they dont develop good skill that can help to improve their performance, they coach based on their own understanding and this is not even helping the team to do better. Many Nigeria coach are not even competent to be called coach.

In as much as i will agree to the fact that the coach has got a really fair share of blame in the teams current position, i will also not want to completely throw all of the blame at him, there are other factors which we are seeing that is affecting the team clearly that is beyond the coach, if these structural deficits are taken care of enough that the team gets some level of stability, then the coach can be blamed for under performance at any time he's found not to have delivered as expected, so for that singular reason i will be of the opinion that he be given a chance at managing the team again and until the team has attained certain level for stability structurally and otherwise, then it can be considered if clearly the coach was the challenge they had to face.

You are very correct, I don't know why it is always difficult for teams to win from away, it's always home win and few away wins. There was a time that a team won from away (can't recall the match again) and the home fans has to beat up the visitors and their players. I don't know if i will say that teams are afraid to win from away so that they won't experience cases like that or the home teams are always prepared to make use of their home advantage. The Nigerian league need to do better and also employ better security services in order to make the league standard. The matches are almost predictable since the teams mostly win from their homes which makes it looks like match fixing.

I don't think so; you know why? No team in the Nigeria Premier Football league that has stay undefeated in their last six match played. Every team has tested defeat and draw withholding them to advanced further at top position.

When we can say the entire NPFL performance has reduced drastically is when we begin to see some teams with their players having injuries, too many games to play, showing signs of fatigue.

Now we have Enugu Rangers topping the Nigeria Premier Football League table with 13 points after playing 6 matches(6 matches should be 18 points; what happened to 5 points?). That means they are not having a smooth ride in the NPFL. They have lost and drawn their match like every other team in the NPFL

Of course, nothing much is expected from Eyimba FC because there's a huge difference between them and Plateau United. Eyimba is in a relegation zone with poor statistics but the visiting team is in the top four and probably a title contender considering how they've improved this season. Either home or away, that doesn't make much difference here. I don't know what has become of Eyimba but their case is worth looking into by appropriate bodies to know what exactly happened to them because they were once a superior club in Nigeria.

I'm more interested in Enugu Rangers vs Abia Warriors to see whether the Rangers of Enugu will maintain their lead on the table. Of course, the home team look stronger and couple with home advantage, they are expected to win comfortably.

Honestly speaking, some Nigerian games are so boring to watch  because of how the pitch and some other things looks like on the pitch and outside this they play like some Egyptian league. Those Egyptian league, they always find it very difficult to score which is another boring thing, I have tried playing this league for some time but it was very difficult to predict so I had to leave it and I don't care looking at it anymore perhaps they have changed now. You know there are some people that are very troublesome and when you play these set of people and defeat them in their home I don't think you should be expecting something less than what you said but that is unprofessional.

You are correct and that was my point, when they talk about analyzing match is exactly what they usually do before knowing the team they would prefer to go for. I don't know if some persons usually think that a home match use to give preference to the home team in terms of being favoured by referee or being allowed when commit some fowls against their opponent but on the contrary there isn't any preference to any home team but however the only thing that stands as an advantage to them is more familiarity on the field since they own it but still it wouldn't change what the outcome of the game would be if the club is underperforming. Meanwhile there would be more than eight matches that would be holding on the league today, unfortunately there starting time are the same but Rivers United FC match and Ikorodu City is will definitely have more interesting play.

Gone are those day's that Nigeria premier League top club use to be Enyimba United and their even went from there to producing one of the Nigeria supper Eagles most recognized and celebrated goal keepers.

The current underperformance was spotted in the early day's of last three seasons when the club failed to get the right hands as replacement for key players that left the club.

Incident like that will definitely effect the club future performance on the pitch, which is what we are seeing right now with the underperforming imagine what they played against plateau United.
