How pessimistic do you feel about the new year of 2023 ?

2022 is an extraordinary year. Because of this, we have infinite expectations for the upcoming 2023. The haze of war dissipates with the new year. Global economic growth next year will lack momentum, but inflationary pressures will drop a lot.

Not pessimistic at all. The evil empire, Russia, will be finally destroyed, and although it won't solve all the problems in the world at once, peoples from all the continents, including peoples living in Russia currently, will start breathing easier, without worrying about possible world-ending nuclear war and other scary stuff like that. All the people of the monstrous entity now called the Russian Federation, will be finally free from the rule of Moscow, living in their independent states.

Also, Iran protests will lead to the overthrowing of the old-fashioned government and its "Supreme Leader". Just look what wiki is saying about him: "The current longtime Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, has been issuing decrees and making the final decisions on the economy, environment, foreign policy, education, national planning, and everything else in the country." Really? In the 21st f*cking century? Educated Iranian people don't want that. They protest against the tyranny of the bloody regime, and they will win the fight. And this will also happen in 2023.

 Despite what is going on in the society, with the economy not being favorable, prices of goods skyrocketing and insecurity taking full rein; I won't say I'd be pessimistic. Because just ad there are bad days, there sure would be good days.

 2023 would be riddled with more problems but I think if we were able to scale through them in the previous years, we can even better in this year.

Surely the future is unpredictable but let's leave it as it is and just focus on our main goal in life. I know most of us to think there will be some more negative things coming next year but as long as it will not gonna come yet, we still have the chance to step forward and reach our dreams. We just don't to see another foolish war will happen next year because I really don't want to see innocent people suffering because of the greed and tyranny of their leaders. If only leaders themselves will fight, they would have ended this war a long time ago but they always sent their troops and it will not end until one party will surrender or is annihilated.

Agree. Focusing on our daily life is way better than being optimistic or pessimistic. Life is intricate that sometimes we don't have to pave the way to move forward but only move forward to pave the way. I also hate wars and hope any war comes to an end in 2023 but frankly speaking, it's human nature to make wars to survive and I just hope eventually more people will live in peace.

I think making wars is not in human nature. Rather, it's in our animal nature to kill everyone around expanding our habitat. We, humanity, are moving forward from that towards cooperation and caring about each other. And exactly that's why we, as humans, have conquered all the animals. And that's why more civilized cultures triumph over the less civilized ones, or at least we are moving forward towards that trend, and we, as humanity, are not going to stop. We have achieved significant progress on this path, but the achievements of the modern civilization must be protected, lest we go back to the dark ages.

Just as been expectant on something good coming with all hopes high to see it coming but not only that but also as expected, this will bring about having some of the unrealized dreams of previous years come through in the new year, all changes we ever wanted to see happening as well as the financial, economic and community peace and settlement that will bring about the freedom and opportunities needed to enjoy life endeavours.

2022 has come to an end. It has been a year of global economic downturn, regional wars and potential crisis. Uncertainty or fear of uncertainty has become top priority to deal with in most countries over the world. Personally I am pessimistic about the new year's prospect. I don't think the global economy will turn better or people will have a more stable and secure life. What is your opinion ? Anyone there who are also pessimistic about the future ? I think we should not be pessimistic. We have to face the ups and down in life; there is nothing new. At the start of 2022, the world had many challenges, and the same did 2023, which had its challenges and difficulties. Although, if we look into the past year, 2020 was the most challenging time, and we have also gone through it. However, what I believe is that 2023 would be better for everyone.

Well, that can be enough, actually. Being not big figures in politics we cannot affect the unfolding of events on a high level. It will go its own way, regardless of whether we are pessimistic or optimistic about it.

Thinking of yourself and your circle is more realistic, and can be more productive for you in the end, than contemplating about the world's problems.

Indeed we experienced a difficult and hard time in 2022 but that shouldn’t make us be pessimistic this 2023. There’ll always be troubles, disappointment and many obstacles every passing year, we’ll just remain hopeful that it is lesser than the former year. There’s no point of one being pessimistic of an event that will affect you directly or indirectly. It is time we always have a positive mindset for a change we all want to happen in the world.

Well I'm not sure of having any pessimistic mindset on this new year, I'm open minded with great hopes of achievement and improving my wealth of knowledge especially in cryptocurrency and bitcoin. This is just the beginning of the new year, though we are expected to face one or two challenges as we go deep into the new year, but with our burning spirit of resilience, we will surmount all the huddle's.

It's true that negative news is always the most read news. I thought about this issue the other day and believe that we have to train ourselves to focus on wonderful things in life instead of all negatives. I am not saying we should have a blind eye on the dark side of the world but we must learn to bring more wonderful feelings to counter the harsh reality to survive. In 2023, there are more things to expect and we stay healthy and positive to embrace them. Cheers.
