1. Participate in discussions: One of the main ways to earn merit is by contributing to the forum by participating in discussions and adding value to the conversation. This can include posting useful information, asking relevant questions, and engaging in constructive debate.

2. Help others: Another way to earn merit is by helping others on the forum. This can include answering questions, providing assistance to new users, or pointing people in the right direction.

3. Create quality content: Another way to earn merit is by creating high-quality content that is relevant and informative to the community. This could include writing informative posts, creating helpful guides, or sharing interesting news or research.

4. Follow the forum rules: In order to earn merit, it is important to follow the forum rules and guidelines. This includes not spamming, not engaging in inappropriate behavior, and not breaking any other rules set forth by the forum.

5. Contribute to the community: Participating in the community and helping it grow can also be a way to earn merit. This could include organizing events, contributing to community projects, or helping to moderate the forum.

6. Be active: Being an active member of the community can also help you earn merit. By regularly participating in discussions and engaging with other users, you can demonstrate your commitment to the community and your willingness to contribute.

7. Share your expertise: If you have expertise or knowledge in a specific area related to Bitcoin or cryptocurrency, you can use that expertise to earn merit. This could include sharing your insights and thoughts on current events, providing technical assistance to other users, or sharing your experiences and lessons learned.

8. Add value to existing discussions: Another way to earn merit is by adding value to existing discussions. This could include providing new information or insights, offering alternative viewpoints, or asking relevant questions to further the conversation.

9. Report spam or inappropriate content: If you see spam or inappropriate content on the forum, you can report it to the moderators. By helping to keep the forum clean and free of spam and inappropriate content, you can demonstrate your commitment to the community and potentially earn merit.

10. Engage with other users: Building relationships with other users on the forum can also be a way to earn merit. By engaging with other users in a positive and constructive way, you can demonstrate your commitment to the community and your willingness to contribute. This could include responding to questions, offering assistance or support, or simply participating in discussions and getting to know other users.

PSA from ChatGPT: Remember, earning merit is not a quick process, and it may take some time and effort to build up your reputation on the forum. However, by consistently contributing valuable content and engaging with the community, you can eventually earn merit and increase your status on the forum.

My Personal Opinion: ChatGPT gave a very good advice on how you can earn merit on this forum. I have got 1200 merit in 1256 posts which is roughly 0.95 merit per post and I will mention things which worked for me out of the above list.

- Participating in the Discussions: I took a huge leap in merits when I started talking to legendary and veteran members on WO thread. It helped me share my opinion and understand their thought process on various topics. Best section of this forum I would say.

- Share your expertise: Not everyone here is fan of TA however people who followed my TA in Speculation board did gave me merit on daily basis as I was providing some value and new information in terms of Technical Analysis on regular basis. When I predicted Bitcoin to reach $20k in February, not everyone was convinced but with time and market situation, it worked in my favor. Call it luck or a good drawing (as they say).

I hope you find this helpful, most of the points may be discussed earlier (that's how this AI know all this) so don't mind it.
This post is meant for beginners and newbies to level up their game.  Wink

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I hope none of above are plagiarism from the AI bot. It's not a big problem for that bot but indeed for your account. I still think you will be fine even the AI bot gave you plagiarized advice because you mentioned how and where you got it.

Topics about how to earn merits are abundantly created daily to monthly so the AI bot has enough available data (topics and sentences) to make its own list.

Indeed, it's a sort of an experiment which is trending on YouTube to get things done by AI. Tried to do it Bitcointalk way.

Yup as I have already mentioned, it grasps each advice this forum's member has given in a summary based way. I like it though.

I kinda read that as being about 3-6 distinct people that post here (some bullet points subtly change tone). It's fine for an AI bot for now but still shows its flaws.

It's also way too long! Did you ask it for 10 points? 2 of the bullet points sound like they're repeating themselves quite a bit (but some users do that anyway). There's a lot of training data on that and likely a lot of threads but if chatgpt uses some sort of neural network and doesn't have access to the Internet then it's quite impressive (if it has a copy of its training data then it's a lot less impressive though imo).

I have seen this kind thread enough in the forum, so I am not motivated by them again, you are not a newbie here so you would have channel contributions in another angle instead not repeated thread like this.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5216692.60
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5189040.0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5197419.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5196391.0 etc.
Most of the point you gave are already there. Hit the search bar you will see many. The number two link gives the full details on the OP.

The major thing I learned from the op is the horizontal lines. So [/hr]

Is the code for the horizontal line. Thanks for the thread. Everyone can make mistake.

Together we can clean the forum

This was @shahzadafzal experience when he asked ChatGPT how to get merits on bitcointalk

I’m not fond of ChatGPT, maybe because I haven’t attempted to use it. I usually like to sit back and watch when trends like this start shaking the internet. AFAIK some reputable sites like stack overflow banned the use of ChatGPT on their platform. Stack overflow is known to be the hub where programmers discuss and find solutions to coding problems, apparently the admins deem it fit to ban the use of ChatGPT to answer coding questions. Bitcointalk is more lenient with the use of AI as long as they don’t break the rules. I’m counting on bounty hunters and account farmers to abuse this AI to build accounts.

Didn't knew someone already did this experiment, locking this thread.
