Like I said, I promise not to rug-pull on any users. I've also been transparent about who I am on the website, so my reputation is on the line.

Please anybody let me know if there's anything else I can do to increase my reputation.

If you have received a signature campaign by one of the sites, then you don't need to think about increasing your reputation in this forum.
Your job is only to carry out promotions as it should be for other members who use this forum to be able to attract or make other members interested in what you have promoted.
If you really want to improve your reputation, do it by serving and providing comfort to users who visit your site.

Though he posted profile on the site, it doesn't mean he can easily earn credibility on this site.
It would take time before people will be comfortable sending money to this game.
Because at a glance of the site itself, it is not the interface of a regular casino, it is more on leaning a casino with short lifespan in the business.
We don't know how this will progress in the coming days, but sure, he has all the time to build his reputation for this project.
But based from my experience, I have seen such similar concept of game not to survive long or not attracting enough players to sustain this business.
Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Better to hire a manager for this and an escrow so we can have the assurance that this promotion is paying and OP should also consider the budget for promotions. I’m hesitant to visit the site as well because of the way he introduce this project here in the forum, having a limit for a gamblers for now is quiet ok, just need to understand the mechanics to qualify.

Whether his project is successful or not, building his reputation on this forum should be a good thing to do if he plans to stay longer and want to get customers from here. If it fails, sure there might be some "bad" projects in his CV, but if he's honest then people have some history to look into.

BTW, OP mentioned he used to work for FAANG in the past. If this is true, I think putting a LinkedIn or something similar is a good idea. Your current about page tells so many things but it is hard to look into detail about it. Since you decide to open up about your identity, posting your work history in detail should not be a major problem for you right? That way users can have an easier way to check your CV without waiting for days for customer support to answer their query.

Consider improving your UI design too. Your website looks very simplistic and it is hard to sell to young people nowadays. If they are your target audience, UI is important. But of course, it should not be a priority if there is still a function/feature that you need to implement asap, such as a possible threat of invalid data mentioned above. While it is unlikely, you should not underestimate people's carelessness on the internet. CMIIW.

hello jackmurray

I was testing your betting engine, and you didn't sanitize the betting input, that way users can create a game with invalid data resulting in the loss of their money if they place a bet.

And I don't like the fact that your coins are under your custody because at any moment you can walk away with the money. It would be nice if that could be controlled by a smart contract or a third party.

But a big +1 for making the project open source.

Thank you so much for testing the engine, we have responded to this problem and added address validation to the site.

I have sent 0.002 BTC to your address at 1BtcBoSSnqe8mFJCUEyCNmo3EcF8Yzhpnc as a reward for pointing this out. Thank you again.

BTW, OP mentioned he used to work for FAANG in the past. If this is true, I think putting a LinkedIn or something similar is a good idea. Thank you, I have added a link to LinkedIn.

As for the UI, I am not a frontend designer. I will pay for help with frontend design if the site gets a little bit more attention. Thank you for your feedback.

Aside from the fact that this site is open source which is a new introduction to gambling which is a plus for the coinballer, its way of receiving deposits is may too centralized and at that, there is a high risk of the wallet holder walking away with players deposits, it is better to use casino smart contract address than having to deposit into a single wallet. I know there is the prospect for this casino to succeed and build a good community base in this forum by listening to feedback and taking the necessary steps to build a formidable site that will become 1st open source gambling site in the forum which is a good development to look out for, I have not attempted to visit the site but since the just launch their review campaigns. So let's see how things go as we read the reviews of members of this forum.

Signature campaign doesn't increase any reputation since the purpose is only for advertise their site in this forum, you need to look 1xbit where they're launch many signature campaigns and they're still scam until now. This is why you get red tagged due to your own careless lol.

@OP why need to be hurry to built reputation?

But based from my experience, I have seen such similar concept of game not to survive long or not attracting enough players to sustain this business.
It's because such site has limited bankroll or they're don't have any interesting promotion to attract new players.

I'm not so sure that this kind of game mechanics is new, it's simple auction-style bidding in a digital format, and this type of gameplay is something we've seen before. And, you don't have to actually play it to understand it because it's actually very simple, whoever makes the highest bit wins the entire pot.

@OP why need to be hurry to built reputation?

A strong reputation is a no-brainer for any gambling platform worth its salt. After all, players entrust their hard-earned coins to the custody of the platform, and a spotty reputation is a surefire way to chase them away. The design of the game requires this trust, making the reputation of the platform a vital factor in its sustainability.

It really took me more than five minutes to understand the system. A very fresh idea, at least for me. First I thought I can bet on existing games but then realized I will need to be on the list when the host will create the game (I am still not sure). Still in doubt which address to send the stake, how it will be held (assuming the site will give an address) and many more things. I will wait for response for a partner before I give my review.

First of all an algorithmic typo needs to be corrected:
On the New game page, nth highest bet needs to write a method to replace "th" with

"st" when n=1,11,22...
"nd" when n=2,12, 22....

Full review is in progress which means I will update this post later or I will quote only the review part and continue in a new post.

You have to create the game yourself by clicking on the New game button and the address for payment will be available, from this moment a round equal to 144 blocks begins. I just tried it and that's what happened, of course there will be a lot of empty rounds, but the initiators are always the players themselves.

Do you want to make this as an actual gambling business or you are simply experimenting?
This forum thread seems kinda lazy for a serious gambling website.
Your concept isn't new and there were multiple games trying to copy the same concept.
I wonder how do you plan to stand out from the crowd and offering something, that's never seen before.
Your website looks clean and simply, but it lacks uniqueness.
Good luck with this project, but I'm not an optimist.

Would you like to play with me?
I assume you have already created a new game? Can you confirm that it is okay for me to send my deposit to the specified address?

EDIT:
I'm backing off. I've already found a new partner.

I'm not much of a gambler, because I don't want another addiction in my life. But I like games, and Coinballer looks like an entirely new concept. The last time I saw a new game, was 4 years ago, but that one doesn't exist anymore.
The site works on Tor without complaining or captcha. I like the simplicity.

But my first impression: I don't get it Shocked
The Rules don't help much:
Coinballer Rules

In this game, up to 100 players are gambling that they have more worth.

Players can make a bet or raise their bet at any time.

The game ends when a certain number of bitcoin blocks have passed without a raise that is equal to or exceeds the maximum bet. This length is configurable.

Anybody who has contributed at least as much as the nth highest bet wins an equal share of the pot. n is configurable.

A 2% fee is taken from the pot for the host.
Does this mean you have to know all (up to 100) players before starting the bet? I think that makes it very complicated to start this. And then, just before the final block, players will start "sniping" the bet by depositing more? Unless they can already know they're going to lose, in that case they don't play at all. And what happens if their deposit confirms after the bet ended already?
Let's take ETFbitcoin's game (below) as an example: there are 3 winners. If someone deposits a million Bitcoins, he'll win. But he'll only get 32.67% of it back, and 2 others will get 32.67% too. Shouldn't the share of each winner be pro-rated to the amount they deposited?

If you want my address then take this: bc1ql847ly3a0kaw6zhscc686a3lv7ve98qgay8422
or give me your address.
Let's create a game between two. Me and whoever is interested.

Make it "anybody who has contributed at least as much as the 2thnd highest bet wins an equal share of the pot.

It does not matter who wins, we both will share the pot equally. In the way, we can test the system and review their site.
I created Game 20 Game 22. The 2 hours isn't enough if you're offline, let's make that Game 22. From what I understand, we'll indeed receive an equal share of the pot. But we don't need to contribute the same amount, and it looks like depositing 0 is enough for a share too.

Suggestion: The (potentially long) list of addressess makes it hard to find your own. It would be nice if New Game allows Labels to be added (although that creastes at the risk of tricking someone into depositing to the wrong address).

I've deposited to Games 21 and 22, but after 2 confirmations, still nothing shows up.

I am inviting everyone who accepted on "Coinballer Review Campaign"[1] (@shasan @Coin_trader @PX-Z @LoyceV @bullrun2020bro @BitcoinGirl.Club @FatFork @cygan @cryptofrka) to join Game 21[2]. Here are the details of the game,
  • Bitcoin payout address is based on campaign's spreadsheet[3].
  • Top 3 player can win the game.
  • The length of this game is 576 blocks (about 4 days), where deadline of the review is 7 days.

P.S. In next few hours i'll send 10K satoshi to my payout address.

Does anybody have a clear understanding on how to participate? To which address should I be sending my bets?
And what if I want to send from another wallet? Am I excluded because only 1 of my wallets are registered or not?

At first glimpse it is quite confusing to understand how the game works.

I think I'm starting to get it. See https://coinballer.net/game/21, find your Payout address in the list, and deposit to the Betting address that's left from it on the same line.

I don't think the sending address matters.

If I understood correctly, to participate in Game 21 created by ETFbitcoin, you need to send BTC to the designated "Betting address" (listed in the left column of the table).

So for example, my "Payout address" is in the right column and my "Betting address" is in the left column:

It's a good question, but unfortunately the instructions are incomplete, so I'm not sure if the address the funds are sent from matters or not. It's possible that it doesn't matter, but without more information, it's hard to say for certain. The only way to know for sure might be to try it and see what happens.

I agree.

It does not matter if i understand correctly, since the winner will be identified on what betting address has the most balance in the end on the set block.
So anyone can send btc on the betting address and winner will receive all the sent btc from all of the betting address (or from anywhere else) minus the host fee to the winners payout address.
This is all assuming since there's no rules mentioning that its not allowed.

Well, it looks like we've both got three confirmations on our transactions, but the game balance is still stuck at zero. Is this a glitch in the matrix, or just a cleverly disguised feature? Hard to say... Only the developer knows for sure.  Wink

I wonder if it has to do with the fact that I funded 2 Games in 1 transaction.
