Why my thread is locked?

I raised this topic because I saw that thread I created 2 months ago have been locked by a moderator ( cyrus or hilariousandco).

This thread ⚽ Football Injuries and Injury Updates! is helpful to me for gambling decision making and I believe it is helpful to other gamblers who pleaded that I keep the thread alive because it's helpful to them.

I want to know why the thread was locked so that I will not bother to create a similar thread in the future.

I also want to know why that thread was locked and a thread like this is active.

If there is no good reason, I request that the thread be unlocked.

The description on the gambling discussion board may give a clue as to why your post is not needed there, and there have been so many complaints about unnecessary topics in the gambling discussion board not so long ago. Perhaps someone is trying to keep the board clean.

Injury isn't only a reason why the players will not play, I think the transfer speculation is already enough ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions and could be included about injury discussion.

If each reason need to create new thread, there's will be a lot spam topic created.
1. Football injury update
2. Football rumor update
3. Football player's age update
4. Football player's personal problem update
5. Football player's promoting crypto casino update
6. Football starting line up strategy update
7. Football list substitution player update
etc.

How do you determine a necessary and unnecessary topics. Check the topic and what is discussed in it and tell me it's unnecessary. Is there any thread elsewhere discussing same thing?

What is the meaning of the statement "Discussion of sports games and other gambling related services separate from games and services. I just want to know how the topic doesn't agree with the description.

If a player is having an injury and I see the impact of the player in matches played, I may decide not to go for that club in the next match to see how things turns out, which means the thread fits in gambling discussions, just as Mane did not play for Senegal in world cup in Qatar , but it can fit into ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions which cover more areas including injury of players and transfer to speculate the next matches.

There are so many open discussion thread related to football on that board. If every sports discussion thread have its own sub-discussion thread for injuries, or whatever particular sub-topic it is, then that board will get more and more spam posts.

I unlocked it and moved it to off topic. I think you're really reaching to try make that thread somewhat relatable to Gambling discussion but I don't blame you because that's what that board has become. At this point it probably should just be renamed Sports Discussion.

I think what is being said here is correct and may be the reason for the lock you experience on the thread, talking about injuries, it's like a sub topic that can be discussed on most of the gambling threads since almost of the gambling games deals with their players getting injured by one means or the other, so maybe the moderator believed that it should be under a thread discussion and not a topic on itself, though he may as well have sone personal reasons to why this happened but just take it as it is that there must have been something wrong somewhere or not in place, am not sure if the topic had not been discussed in the past.

I agree with @JeromeTarash, the discussion isn’t enough to make a topic. I look at the thread and it was five pages long before it was locked. There was no need for such topic, most of the posts in the first 8 pages could have discussed in the World Cup threads. The remaining 2 pages were filled with discussion that clearly fits Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions. All the World Cup threads have been locked and I don’t think the moderators were wrong to locked your thread. It was a good report in my opinion.

I unlocked it and moved it to off topic. I think you're really reaching to try make that thread somewhat relatable to Gambling discussion but I don't blame you because that's what that board has become. At this point it probably should just be renamed Sports Discussion. 

I bet now the thread will receive hardly any comment/replies which proves that thread mainly used for spamming and nothing more but OP if you intention is not really to create spam but most users especially in gambling section took far away and I think many more threads should be moved in such a way to cut those posts from weekly quota.

1. Football night club update
2. Football updates with my wife
3. Bitcointalk members that are footballers
If that is how silly the thread appeared to you.

It is nice to discuss Football Injuries in Transfer speculations but fine to discussion Two English Premier League threads in the same board.

Oh no! From frying pan to fire. This is obviously not what I wanted. Anyone seeing that thread in off topic will definitely know it is not an off topic thread.

At this point it probably should just be renamed Sports Discussion. 

Well, I didn't know that there's a big difference between gambling discussion and Sports discussion.

Could a Sports Discussion child board be created so that we will all see how irrelevant the Gambling discussion board will be?

Hilariousandco, you may decide to send the topic back to gambling discussion and lock it twice , it will be better than moving it to off topic.
