I think BNB will have a future as long as the exchange Binance,the entity behind that coin will be in service to the people.However you can never go wrong if you opt to exchange whatever coin you have in Bitcoin as in the long term that is a reassuring trade,you will reap the benefits of such move in the next all time high,although even 2023 has started with the positive notes on crypto,as we are seeing an increase today.

Another bold move would be to split that amount equally to really low value coins with a good team behind their project,like Raptoreum for example but the best to do for stability is to convert it to Bitcoin.

BNB has cheap price recent months and you can hold your BNB.

You did wisely converted NFT tokens to BNB but in future, don't convert your BNB token to other NFT tokens. Holding BNB is better because most of NFT projects are not too good. Their tokens can be dumped by gamers, by their scam teams and you will have more risk to lose with NFT tokens.

BNB is backed by Binance that are strong and their buy back and burn events can help BNB not only to maintain its price in bear market but also will create hype in bull market.

Convert BNB to BTC is another good idea but in bull market, BNB will give you better profit than BTC.

You can invest in BNB coin if you feel it will show good growth prospects over time. Also, net profit growth is something to look at before you plan a strategy and implement it.
but I think BNB is a good coin to own especially long term you should take a look at the CMC chart you can see that BNB has quite a promising trend and also a good trail and currently BNB is 4th in CMC that should be able to judge it. And if I were in your shoes, I would still choose BNB and for the long haul.

Is that your whole capital? If it is then I would probably convert at least half of it to bitcoin and then keep the rest on BNB, just as a safety measure in case something happened to the binance exchange, however if that is only part of the whole value of your portfolio then I will say that keeping the BNB is not bad idea, I know there has been a lot of FUD recently against exchanges and binance in particular, but BNB seems like a good coin to keep for the short term.

Cryptos related to exchanges aren't having a good time these days, because the confidence of investors in such platforms is pretty low, probably like never seen before in crypto history. We can't really say if BNB doesn't have a future anymore, because Binance is still the most powerful exchange in the world and it can be just a temporary lack of trust from investors, being possible to be reverted futurely.

But just as a guarantee, I would totally swap those BNB into Bitcoin right now and keep it stored safely. I am definitely not a Binance shill because i don't own any BNB myself and i am also pretty critical regarding Binance in general because they are just becoming to big with the buying of coinmarketcap and other things and in my opinion it is never a good thing if one company is becoming to pick within a certain space of an industry.
Even i have to say though that i think that the statement "binance has no future anymore" is a pretty stupid one. Yes at the moment it seems like that centralized exchanges have took a pretty big hit with all the stuff that happened to FTX, but if Binance has no future anymore, then we would experience a bear market that would be 10x harder than the one we are in right now.

Indirectly the BNB assets that you have are the result of airdrops where you get them for free.
Even though it is obtained for free, the amount of $ 800 is quite a number and not small.
If indeed you are not sure about BNB and are going to sell it to be reinvested then my advice is better to invest in Bitcoin which has a clear future than buying a stable coin.

You could have asked your friend his reasons why he thinks BNB has no future.  Following blindly because it is from a friend is devastating,  you should always verify it and ask for the reason why he thought that BNB has no future.

BNB is getting stronger as far as I know.  Even with Binance being on the hot seat, I believe Binance will survive this struggle and will come up strong.  BNB is already a established cryptocurrency and I do not think it is bad to exchange it for Bitcoin but I remind you, BNB can give you way more profit than Bitcoin can give because of the market price.  Bitcoin can multiply 3 to 5 time at least on the next ATH but I think BNB has more potential of increasing the price than that.

I wonder what's the reasoning of such statements, if it was caused by the fact that there are many exchanges collapsing and BNB happens to be heavily influenced by binance presence, then it makes sense even though I doubt that's valid reason because binance keeps on disclosing its reserve fund trying to be as transparent as possible even though there's still chance of it collapsing, i think binance and its BNB is quite safe, not to mention that BSC could very well save BNB even in the brink of binance collapse.

That's an IRL suggestion tbh, from all the FUDs they received last year because of what happened to FTX, I'm extremely bullish on what's ahead on Binance and BNB. Its good taking consideration to buy bitcoin and its not a bad decision considering its the number 1 cryptocurrency and only decentralized project 100%. Also it did come from an airdrop which isnt that hurt much if you get loss. Also its impossible for btc to stay this low in the long run.

Perhaps, nobody could tell what will happen to BNB but I strongly believe this is a promising project, and Binance exchange will keep that. Well I think this is one of the nest coins to hold. I do not believe in the all the recently said Binance fud so I think there isnt a problem with insolvency and this is a good Top coin on the marketcap to continue to HODL.

Holding does not bring profit always. You must choose good cryptocurrency to hold like Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB. Other altcoins, I don't know holding them is good or bad, to be honest with you. Selling before bull market is a big mistake, even if you want to buy something else, like sell your bnb and get eth type of deal, that's still a mistake because they are not the same type of drop and not same type of increase in the future neither, if you go lower then there is no guarantee that it would go up. ^I did not have this coin in my portfolio but my advice is, don't put a large amount of allocation on this coin in your portfolio. It should be 20% over 100% of your portfolio, I would rather give a large amount on BTC than the BNB. If it is then I would probably convert at least half of it to bitcoin and then keep the rest on BNB, just as a safety measure in case something happened to the binance exchange, however if that is only part of the whole value of your portfolio then I will say that keeping the BNB is not bad idea, I know there has been a lot of FUD recently against exchanges and binance in particular, but BNB seems like a good coin to keep for the short term.

BNB is a good coin, but I wouldn't suggest you go all in, especially when it's tied to a crypto exchange. If Binance collapses like Mt. Gox or FTX, you could lose it all in an instant. They often claim BNB is decentralized, but most of the nodes are still under Binance's control. For BNB to become truly decentralized, Binance needs to cede control of the network's nodes.

You're going to have to decide for yourself whenever it's worth the risk holding BNB long-term, or choose a safer alternative that puts decentralization/censorship-resistance above all else. I'd say both Cardano (ADA) and Ethereum (ETH) are much better alternatives to BNB. Right now we're in a bear market, so we can't expect BNB to reach a new ATH anytime soon. We all have different views on every coins in the market and I know that there are hardcore BNB fans out there that will disagree with your friend statement. I personally have a small number of BNB in my portfolio but I do have it in case I need it or able to sell it on a good price. Perhaps it is worth it since it did show some potential during the bull run although I'm a bit skeptical about it nowadays since not all altcoins are worthy to invest for long-term. I agree, traders have been getting away from centralized coins since LUNA collapsed in an attempt to protect themselves from losing everything, however once the bull run comes then it is obvious they will invest in any coin which is at the top of the market which can give them the profits they are looking for, and without a doubt the binance coin is a great candidate to receive a great deal of support as it has demonstrated over the years it is an investment that does well when the market is bullish.

Well, that's the important thing that we have to realize. Now along with Bitcoin's correction, we are also seeing a similar correction in BNB coin. (altcoins tend to follow the movements of Bitcoin). If you only target to take profits when the price returns to $300, I think it is very easy to achieve. It is not only BNB price that seems a bit difficult to increase, most of crypto coins prices are experiencing the same thing. I know that there is an impact of Binance problem with SEC, but the price of BNB looks stuck on $240-$245 because BTC price looks like in the sideway phase. Most of crypto coins follow BTC price trend, including BNB price as well. Although BNB problem with SEC isn't over yet, I'm sure BNB isn't impossible to create its new ATH when it is in the bullrun season. Also, I trust Binance that they will fix their problem with SEC as soon as possible.

Holding BNB is a huge risk, especially when Binance is too tied to it. Centralization = short life span for the cryptocurrency in question. I'd choose ETH over BNB anytime due to the way it was designed. It may have turned centralized, but it's not as bad as BNB. I'd be surprised if BNB lasts 1-2 decades from now with tightening regulatory pressure in the industry.

If Binance wants to make BNB decentralized, it's going to need to change the name of the coin/Blockchain (rebranding), as well as, expand the number of nodes that can support the network. But that would be a dream considering that Binance is going to miss a huge opportunity for profit. At least, we have plenty of options to choose from. As long as there's one coin that's decentralized, nothing else matters. Just my thoughts

maybe it has to do with the fact that BNB has risen a lot from first they introduced their Binance Smart Chain back then when NFT trend was still a thing and there are tons and tons of project that utilizes the fast transaction per second in which binance smart chain excels at like those blockchain gaming project and the likes.

It will be better if someone can add BNB and Bitcoin together in their portfolio. That will be good for him as when the Bitcoin price rises, he can make a profit by selling his Bitcoin. Meanwhile, when the altcoin season comes, he can sell his BNB, giving him more profit.

I believe BSC is the second choice for many of the projects (most of them have first) for dApps for selection of blockchain network. When ETH had gas fee issues, most of the coins switched their network to BSC which benefitted BNB. I even sold the BNB that I had when the price was above $300. and Now I'm in accumulation mode again since the price was $230. I am targeting purchases until BNB declines to the $186 price level which may be reached if the market suddenly turns red.

If you know that you have other means to sustain yourself in this bearish season to allow you to continue holding, you can do it because there is a bright future ahead of binance, and you will not regret because the coin is among the potential coins in the crypto market. Actually Platforms tokens can never go out of existence unless the exchange collapse, though at the same time you can choose to why your choice among other platforms exchanges to know the best performing one, as of this year 2023 $BGB of Bitget exchange happens to outshine all other platforms token, the platform token of OKX equally did great like wise $BNB. The February verdict on CZ's case might impact BNB's price. But it doesn't mean that it will only fall. There's a possibility that it will pump since BNB is not CZ. Converting in BTC is a good advise there is nothing debatable about that but why need for conversion when he already holding top3 ranking coin?

it seemed people are just waiting for the news to truly arrive not just depending on rumour and thats a good thing, the bad thing is that when bad news truly hit it will be massive dumping but im sure binance can always overcome this by always obeying the regulation because thats what company like binance are striving for to avoid problems like this.

If you carefully observe the price of bnb before SEC case and after you would definitely realize that this case put very bad impact on the price of bnb. I bet that if SEC not involve the bnb price would be now 400 above. The bnb holders still alive because it is widely used in bsc chains ecosystem and also binance started listing token in launch pool which needed bnb to hold. the thing that make BNB strong is binance smart chain generating massive demand because there are many project deployed there as to the problem relating to CZ i think it will gonna affect BNB more or less, i mean even though the CEO has been replaced CZ is like the brand image of binance and I don't think that will fade away soon, anything that CZ is doing is the spotlight of binance performance and anything related to binance so I'm expecting that there will be some shake toward the price of BNB whenever the bad news of CZ is coming out, not that im sure there will be any bad news coming out though probably CZ are doing well dealing with the regulation also receive punishment since it seems he tries to abide by the law.

OP, did you buy in bitcoin or are you holding BNB? When you decided to sell BNB the price of BNB coins was maybe $290-300. If you are holding BNB then you are currently in double profit as BNB coin price is $600 plus today. Or if you sell BNB and buy Bitcoin, you are currently in more than 3x profit because the price of Bitcoin was very low at the beginning in 2023. OP, what coins are you holding? Whichever coin you hold BNB or BTC, you can profit a lot in the coming bull run. Bitcoins are much less risky than altcoins so it is better to hold Bitcoins.

I've still got my BNB on hold and that's why I'm thinking of selling it now to take advantage of the other tokens that might give more rewards.
