I have a couple of questions, recommendations, and observations.
1. Your service has no search option, meaning I would have to post links to my files elsewhere If I want to find clients. Maybe adding an option to search by file name wouldn't be bad.
2. I think sellers should be allowed to create unique profiles. How do I build reputation on your platform when it doesn't show the name of the uploader?
3. The buyer gets the link to the purchased item after 3 blockchain confirmations, right? Can the seller delete the item in the meantime or when he notices an incoming transaction, thereby scamming the buyer?
4. Besides scanning the files for viruses and malware, you have no way to check the contents of what is being uploaded. What prevents someone to use your service to share illegal content (child pornography, pirated movies, stolen identity and financial information, etc.)?
5. What's the minimum and maximum file size a user can upload?
Thank you for showing interest. Here are answers.
1. Yes there is no one to search and we do not intend to put search bar in future. Uploaders share their links with their audience by themselves. Keeping privacy in mind.
2. We have an upgrade ready and we did upgraded to it but due to some errors we rolled back. Update has profile system, reviews system, different products management, product edit functions, referral commission systems for each product and percentage of commissions is set by file uploader and a lot more.
3. Uploader cannot delete file if there is a purchase on going. System waits for all current transactions to be completed before deleting a product. In new upgraded system there are options for buyer to open a dispute if they get wrong product and even can get their money back. We basically work as sort of escrow in upgraded system.
4. People can upload bad stuff but buyers can report it through this thread. We cannot read files but can delete if someone reported it. We will change our policy in next upgrade and we will be able to see content of files if a buyer opens a dispute about revived product. Current system is anonymous and we are bound to wait for buyer reports. Even if you didn't buy it and saw someone selling you can still report link in this thread.
5. Minimum is currently 1 kb and max is around 100-200 mb depending on file type. We can change this according to requirements and system resources.
Next upgrade is good and bad in both ways. It is good because buyers get more protection and they can get their money back if they didn't get correct product. And even leave bad reviews if they get bad products.
You can say it kinda bad because if a buyers says product is bad we will have to check it before deciding who is telling truth. There is complete chat mechanism for buyers and sellers to talk and other stuff. But a seller can turn off reviews and dispute on their products and can still remain completely anonymous as they are now. Buyers will be informed that they cannot dispute for such products before they buy it.
We are currently working to make upgraded system more private and secure. Due to some bugs we rolled back this upgrade and we will hopefully launch it back soon.
