For some other people, things are hard for them, they wonder what the point of living is, they become tired and decide to end their life since their situation is looking hopeless. Hopelessness is the main reason for suicide. When people feel that they have no reason to live they simply think of ending their lives. Most people commit suicide because economic hardship has made them debtors. Some of them have lost so much money because of business failure and most of these funds were borrowed. Some of them prefer to die than go to jail.

The highest rate of suicide among youths in my country now is heartbreak or relationship problems. When these young people are dumped by their lovers they become angry. We have had cases where they kill their ex-lover and commit suicide.

There are ton of reasons: Depression. Constant physical pain from illness that isn't going away, and just might get worse and kill you.

Once your psychological state is messed up, everything comes crumbling down. I say this because I was in such a situation at one time. The situation was so challenging and as a young man who was growing up there was no one to talk to so my mental health went in to a mess, and before I realized, I was hopeless and thinking life is not worth fighting for. I like your explanation and IMO the reason for suicide is like you've said a sudden change of person's situation along with shortsightedness. A person experiences a sudden flow of negative emotions, finds themselves in a deep dark hole with no light and thinks that no light is ever coming. Feels pain with no way to stop it. The problem is that usually you don't see the light in the hole because it's night outside and once the sun comes up you see what's next to you and find out there's a ladder. It's literally that kind of a situation. People often commit suicide much too quickly, without seeing all the available options.

There was this girl that hung herself on top of the staircase in my apartment building and the reason was so dumb if you think about it from a perspective. She had a boyfriend and her parents didn't want her to meet him so she was grounded. At that moment she probably thought her life was over but if she only could survive that month or two she'd see that this was nothing. Giving up on life is not the best thing, because as long as you are alive, you can make something good out from every bad situation. The problem that most people that commits suicide have is that they will not like to share their predicaments with people that would advice them.

apart from stress, another reason why someone commits suicide is because of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. these two things often make people commit suicide, especially schizo which makes people hallucinate scary things and it makes them mentally disturbed and that makes them choose to kill themselves. nowadays, quite a lot of people experience this mental illness and if it is not treated by a professional, the impact is quite serious.

Good morning all ,I think why people think of suicide is due to bad actitude of a particular society but to go to the extent of killing him or her self is totally rubbish and stupid to the hight order.

A friend of my go true army trainings pass they gave them clothes and rifle,after sometime they select five of them in the military whom has pass their training and all their documents are totally complete,but to an extent they push them out of the military without any offence ,this guy they cry but nothing could be done ,even to the extent they go to radio station to share their story if theirs anything they can do to help the situation,but at least nothing was done ,this could leed to sucide because the strength and condition they use to pass our army trainings is too much,so as he said that some of them join Boko Haram due to the decision taken by their training commander

Fear. Sometimes people get into cases where they are scared of the repercussions of their action and assuming that taking their life is a good solution as they won’t have to face whatever consequences that would have come.

I could be wrong, but I will say it is people with low self esteem that resort to suicide in solving their problems. The economy is just a part of life, we humans each have a situation and face many different bad things that lead to negative thinking, such as love, work pressure… there are too many reasons for a person to commit suicide. For those who are contemplating suicide, I think it is possible that they have been through inner torment as well as have endured something so bad that there is no better way. Suicide is evasion of human responsibility, not liberation.

All I can think of is there are times when people face a lot of challenges that they believe they can't handle hence decides to end their lives but that's crazy. I still imagine how will I subject myself to pain because I have another pressing pain that I think I can't with stand.

I still have a lot of things to enjoy in life as long as I can find food or as long as I'm alive I still have a reason to be happy. Most people are not contented with what they have and by this they begin to put themselves into pressure that at the end things gets worst and death becomes their next option for the fact that they didn't achieve a goal or they face shame or other pressure in life.

Unstable economy can cause depression among many other things. Depression doesn't come out of thin air, nor do the mental problems. And when you speak about people's current situations. Economy is the one that directly affects to that. Economic instability creates civil unrest and desperation. It can affect lack of housing, food, access to health care and overall welfare of people. And if that's not enough to affect your "current situation" right now, it doesn't mean it would not in the future.

Advices and motivation can only push us so far, and don't necessarily do squat when the region itself is in panic mode.

In my opinion, some people think about ending their lives because they cannot fulfill the lives they desire. Many people end their lives thinking the world is not made for them, they cannot look good like their friends or provide for themselves in the same way that others do. Sadness is real, and if we are always sad about everything, we may end up commit suicide. All hands cannot be equal, however, let us live the lives that were created for us. I've read a lot of news on social media about people who have committed suicide because of life's challenges, we all have problems, but why aren't we thinking about other options than ending our lives?
